Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 134

Wallace saw the three automatons impressively standing even after taking two full brunt of his automaton's Laser Focus.
'That alloy is surely tough. It would be amazing to have several tons of these as a reward.' Wallace thought after seeing the impressive durability of the opponent's armor.
He remembered that the reward in this competition was not set. It would depend on the winner's desire as long as it was related in the Artifact Forging.
There are cases that the champions would request for an Arcane Spell's Magic Structure, top-grade Mana Artifact, very rare materials or even several memory crystals containing knowledge about a Lost Technology.
With all of these options, he was more inclined in gaining materials for his future spaceship.
As Wallace was having his thought about the possible rewards he would request if he ever won this competition, Renzo and his team on the other hand were sweating profusely as they nervously watched their automatons struggle to land a counterattack.
If they still didn't win with all their ingenious or supremely brilliant preparations, they would surely be punished.
Whoosh!
Another wave of that beams of light landed on the three automatons. It made them tumble a bit as they struggled to get up. The Mana Chain Link had already dispersed and the three were on their own. That spell that allows them to strengthen their defense, enhance their movements, and upgrade their Magic Spells to higher tier was no more. It would be a disaster if they were hit by another one of those beams.
Their automatons were steaming in heat and the previous silver color of their armor were now turning slightly red as it was receiving unimaginable heat.
"This... isn't it a bit too strong?"
"I wonder what kind of Mana Stone did that participant used. Is it really something that our staff has provided."
"That's true. How come it wasn't being exhausted. I hope that we could get someone to investigate the materials that was used by the War Beast."
"Let us first see whether this War Beast was capable of truly defeating the three Helioses..."
The two announcers commented as they do not have the concept of the Compact Mananuclear Reactor that Wallace had used. This reactor, although could not provide unlimited source of Mana, it was also constantly drawing in some Mana in it's surrounding as Wallace placed the 12 Cycles of Mana Stabilization Array as auxillary magic. This array also helps with the continuous operation of Passive Heat Dissipation System that was installed and as the name says, this technique has 12 cycles that helps stabilizing the Mana that was already stored or being gathered.

Normally, each laser focus has a cooldown and couldn't be fired continuously but this array can be activated during this time of emergency where it has to face three automatons at the same time. That's right, with 6 barrels firing at the same time, all of the burden will be placed on this Array and the cooldown wouldn't be a problem as it would also help in fortifying heat dispersion systems that was installed.
Each cycles could cover at least 18 shots of Laser Focus before being wore down.
As Wallace calculated, there should be 11 cycles remaining and once all the cycles was consumed, his automaton will be back to normal and his Compact Mananuclear Reactor again would only be able to fire one shot at a time with 30 seconds as a cooldown. This would lower the efficiency of his automatons firing rate but Wallace wouldn't believe that these three could reach that point.
This array was normally being used only for Artifact Forging but this didn't stop Wallace in his innovation. After all, this array was provided by the Pathfinder before so he was sure that this technique wasn't so simple.
As he was contemplating whether this will be the end of the three automaton, his Divine Sense had felt something unusual but he couldn't pin point the problem.
As soon as the Red-Eyed War Beast was about to send another volley of attacks, everyone waited in bated breath.
"Again?! Is it another beam?!" They already noticed the orange to red light accumulating inside the barrel. This means that another beam of light was about to be released.
"When will this end?" Nina asked but she wasn't waiting for anyone to answer. She was amazed at the War Beast's power and also the Helios' tenacity. She also noticed that the swamp was starting to dry due to the excessive heat coming from those attacks.
Wallace then felt something was amiss and looked at a hidden location in the arena. It was a room where the VIP's were watching the battle.
He noticed the man whom his parents requested to look for just to clear his understanding about his family's status in their respective clans. The man was Julian Esmeria.
As soon as Wallace noticed that something was about to happen, his automaton that was about to fire it's 4th volley of laser attacks suddenly stopped it's movement.
It failed to shoot out the lasers. Wallace squinted his eyes upon seeing this.

Although his Divine Sense didn't capture it clearly, he was sure that something went into his automaton.
'What happened?' It was his question and the same with everyone else. One thing was for sure. Something went inside his automaton and it was something that he couldn't comprehend with his knowledge yet.
"What? It failed? Is this the chance that the three Helioses was waiting for?" Nina asked doubtful at the current situation of the battle. They already failed to predict the offensive power of this War Beast so they weren't confident to predict what was about to happen.
"Yes, probably. With the continuous powerful attacks being sent by the War Beast, it was proned to have these kind of side effects. It was probably overheated or malfunctioned due to the excessive force being used continuously." Schneizel said after considering the possible reasons of it's failure.
"That makes sense, it would be too powerful to see that beams of light raining endlessly."
"But even with that side effect. I believe that it should still be investigated due to it's questionable power source."
"Well, that would be up to the officials."
This was an incredible battle that highlighted a strong offensive power and sturdy defensive strength that would surely attract many organizations. Who wouldn't want to learn something like this and use it on their own? Even if the War Beast lost here, it's popularity would surely soar high.
But right now, even though it was the best time to defeat the Red-Eyed War Beast, the three Helioses weren't moving. It was not because it didn't want to but due to the extreme heat they took head on, they already received severe damages and were only able to stand because of the core magic structure that was still intact. For the physical structure itself, a lot of internal damages were present.
It must be remembered that the Ancient Abyssal Alloys were only allocated outside as it's armor. It could not protect the internal structure of the automaton. A lot of joints and wires were already destroyed so even walking wouldn't seem to be possible anymore.
The most that it could probably do was to cast some projectile Magic Spells.
Wallace then noticed something as he grinned while looking at the battlefield. Their team still has a chance!
A shadow passed through and destroyed the furthest Helios that was thrown away by the impact of the laser a while ago.
"The Sword Slave! Although it was late, it arrived on time to help it's teammate! It even destroyed one of the Helioses!"
"Wow! The Helioses might just actually lose this round..."
Splash! A sound of breaking out of water was heard!
"The Ratman! It was flying and was observing the current status of the remaining automatons! What a good timing..."
"This is it! This event was surely about to end. With the five automatons that was remaining, once two more of them was defeated. It would form that top three in this event."
The Sword Slave destroyed the first Helios using the impact from it's high jump paired with it's piercing armor.
The armor that the Helioses wore had already soften due to the War Beast's heating and as the Sword Slave was about to try destroying the second one, something stopped it from functioning mid-air. It was unable to control it's trajectory.
It was that same problem that the Red-Eyed War Beast was facing but only Wallace was aware of this.
The Sword Slave dropped badly but it's body still hit the Helios and severely damaged it. The other Helios cast a magic spell to totally destroy the unmoving Sword Slave.
"Ha... Only four automatons were left. That one Helios near the Sword Slave was also heavily damaged. It no longer have a feet and one of it's arm was already destroyed."
"True, but since it was still activated, it can still be considered as a participant... Oh it can still cast a spell?"
The remaining two Helioses threw several low-level magic spells as they couldn't cast a strong one. Although the other Helios was severely damaged physically, one of it's arm could still surprisingly function to cast a very weak spell.
The Ratman also joined in and threw a magic spell but not to the War Beast but to the heavily damaged Helios. It was then truly destroyed.
Then the signal to stop the battle was heard as several officials went to clean up the battlefield and retrieve the winners and also investigate the War Beast.
