Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 96

Although it hasn't been a month since Chester started to study the Cryptic Link Serum, he already made a huge breakthrough.
"Haha! You're excellent as always! Even the people from the Congress had a hard time deciphering the serum but here you are, you've managed to do something they're unable to." An unusual figure visited the laboratory of the head of Mage Doctor in Medicine Department of the Ministry.
"Haaa... It's not that easy you know."
Chester recognized the voice without turning his head as he said humbly to this powerful magician he respected deep in his heart. But he was addressing him informally since the former had requested to do so telling that they probably hold the same level of authority within the Ministry.
"Honestly, there's still an unknown element included within the formula. Until I've identified that element, I can't say that I've successfully uncovered the secret of this serum." Chester explained while he was seated and observing the screen showing the structure of the serum.
"I understand that, but with this, you don't have to strain yourself. We can easily use the Congress's resources to deal with it." Hayden Fraser encouraged Chester as he deeply valued Chester's ability for the Ministry and kinda liked his personality since they both have the same goal.
The unknown element was also alien to him. But this discovery was enough result for the Congress as even getting the other components of the serum made it difficult for them.
Discovering the new element should be handled by other experts in the field since Chester doesn't have an obligation for this and wasn't his forte.
"That's right. I should take some rest. Identifying the truth with this new element that could trigger improvement on magicians with low Mana affinity could not be easily done." Chester said in his tired voice.
'Just where did the Z-Company acquired such valuable material.' The two of them thought at the same time.

After Wallace saw the man floating just above him. He couldn't help but feel nervous about the situation. The opponent he was dealing with was either too strong or too weak like the guard he had recently taken out.
Luckily, the man didn't immediately attacked and injured him but instead chose to incapacitate him by being pressured of the invisible Mana. Due to this, his Mana-Enhanced armor was able to adjust after bearing the pressure for 10 seconds.

During this time, the middle-aged man had already gotten closer to Wallace. He walks indifferently as he approached step by step.
'Hey, Please establish the connection. Hurry up!' Wallace said to Pathfinder.
[ Establishing Connection. ]
[ Please wait... ]
[ 130.04 seconds left. ]
'That's too long! How can I survive here?' Wallace said in his mind.
"Hey, I asked you a question. Are you mute?" The man spoke with a hint of a threat as he noticed the armored being in front of him who was not answering his question even after pressuring it to the point of kneeling on the ground.
Wallace needed to buy more time so he could only try.
"What's inside this structure?" A suppressed voice within the armor came out as Wallace tried to speak even with the pressure.
"Oh~ So you can speak. Anyway, you will never know what's inside there." The man stopped approaching Wallace after reaching 10 steps away from him.
'So you're also being careful?' Wallace analyzed the situation. He noticed that the man didn't get near him and kept his distance as Wallace kept his half-kneeling posture.
"Well, you're probably another one of those spies. Which country sent you?" The man said as he extended his hands and pointed on Wallace.
"I'm not a spy. This is a misunderstanding." Wallace said as his mind keeps thinking about what to say before he continued.
"I'm just testing this new armor tech I'm wearing and was lost after detecting something unusual. You can ignore me as I'll leave this place in a while."
"Really? Then that's even more dangerous. Whatever country made your suit must be exterminated."
The man said as he frowned at the capabilities of the armor on detecting the uniqueness of this island if ever Wallace was saying the truth. Of course, he'd never completely believed him until he tortured him for the answers. He snapped his fingers as dancing flame approached Wallace as it tried consuming the latter.
But as soon as it reached closer to Wallace's armor, the flame dissipated as if the spell was too weak and couldn't reach him.
"So your Magic Jammer seems to be on a different level, huh."
"That's right. I must thank the magic engineer who made this." Wallace said to lighten up his mood.

A few more seconds were left so he had to either engage in conversation or even fight him.
"How about this?"
The man opened his palm and the soil he was kneeling at caved in as Wallace stumbled. For some reason, the Magic Jammer missed the beat to cancel the magic that manipulated his surroundings.
"Tsk!" Wallace clicked his tongue after losing his balance.
'It seems there's still a loophole when attacks aren't targeting me.' Wallace surmised after coping with the situation.
The Magic Jammer's program isn't perfect that's why it has multiple variants and Wallace's enhanced version is only one of the many.
After the man had successfully interrupted Wallace's concentration, he continued controlling the surroundings to enclosed him as if he would like to wrap Wallace in soil.
Even the middle-aged man was having trouble as some of the soil was getting out of his control due to the Magic Jammer.
"Interesting. So even my coated Mana can still be affected if you concentrate your Magic Jammer and increase the intensity." The man amusedly said to Wallace as if enjoying his struggle to get out of the situation. It seems that he would like to play with Wallace
"It looks like your having fun... but I'm not." Wallace said gravely. For the first time after arriving here on this planet and accumulated knowledge and ability, he unleashed his full fighting capability.
The armored being threw a projectile and targetted the man's abdomen. The sharp objects were so fast but the man didn't get flustered.
Wallace noticed that he also activated a magic jammer but after quickly noticing that it doesn't have any effect, he decided to increase his defense instead.
Wallace could even feel that the Mana Shell of this person was probably as sturdy as this dome. It was almost impossible to penetrate without spending time on it.
The sharp projectile hit's the defense of the middle-aged man and didn't make any openings for Wallace at all.
He continued his attack by using his Magic Spell. The same that he provided to Shirley.
"Ultrasonic Burst"
Wallace activated the spell even without a Sonic Gun like Shirley. It came from his Silver Orb. The 4th Magic Structure Crystal placed within contains several original magic that Wallace had created.
The spell caught the middle-aged man unawares as it was his first time dealing with such magic. But probably due to his unique physique, he was able to endure the attack.
"Traceless Oscillation."
The spells he was using would probably expose his identity but he couldn't care less at his situation. The new version of this spell no longer consumes a lot more Mana than before.
The man widened his eyes after receiving this very unusual magic spell.
"This... What kind of magic is this?" The man was surprised upon seeing his Mana Shell almost crumbling. Due to his extremely precise control and distribution of Mana, he managed to retain his Mana Shell and avoid it from getting destroyed.
His eyes were filled with greed as he would like the spell for himself and study it more.
But he noticed something weird as pain suddenly jolted his mind.
He looked at the sharp blade which Wallace threw and deflected by his defense a while ago. It was now lodged on his left thigh as crimson blood was dripping slowly and the armored being was now even standing on his left side 10 steps away from him.
"How?" The man wasn't worried but was in deep thought.
His Mana Shell was still as sturdy as ever, how could this blade reach him? How did this armored being reached there?

[ Connection Established. ]
[ User will unite with the Cube of Paradox. ]
[ 3... 2... 1... ]
Wallace vanished from the middle-aged man's sight. And as soon as it happened, sounds of alarm within the dome sounded.
"What?!" The man's eyes were red in anger as he somehow understood what had just happened.
He couldn't imagine that someone slipped from his grasp and even reached the place he'd been guarding for decades.
"You'll pay for this!" He shouted and removed the blade from his thigh not caring for the blood that oozed out as he used a simple mana manipulation to suppress the blood loss.
