Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 60

Mystic Gate Academy was currently in a battle against Stoneheimer as they now reached the 3rd match.
"Stoneheimer's Klein vs Mystic Gate's Kyla"
"This beauty from Mystic Gate has such an intimidating power. Her control in Domain Magic reaches different heights, she's even more impressive than the 3rd years I know." Sam, a third-year student from Stoneheimer commented as the battle of his fellow student was about to start.
"Klein's power heavily relies on his strong defense so I think he would have a chance here. As long as he could endure and find an opportunity to counter-attack and hit Kyla's Mana Shell, it would be a good chance." Another third-year student, Ves, analyzed the chance that Klein has to win the battle.
Everyone in the arena may be expecting him to lose but he was holding his hope to Klein's defensive power to struggle his way to victory.
"That's true, no one was able to hit Kyla's Mana Shell so we don't know it's toughness yet. Maybe, it is fragile as she focuses only on her offensive power." Sam replied.
"That's hard to say, her Mana Artifact was made by an elite so there should be some defensive magic spell on her as well." Another 3rd-year student joined their conversation and both Sam and Ves looked over.
The two noticed that it was their team captain for the 3rd year roster. He is Hector Newman, the strongest magician in the academy that could rival and fight toe to toe against a licensed Combat Magicians.
Hector has short brown hair and azure eyes. His lower left cheek had a scar from a blade that he didn't allow to get fully healed. In the advancement of Mana Study, the field of medicine had also benefitted and allowed them to create a path for Mage Doctors. In short, this type of wound can be completely recovered as long as he received treatment from a doctor.

However, Hector refused to do so and maintained the scar telling that it was a reminder for him.
It must be remembered that Hector was included in the third year students who were able to sense Wallace's Divine Sense.
"Klein would have a chance if Kyla's Mana Shell were more fragile. But if it has the toughness that could compare to his Mana Shell then, It would be difficult. Anyway, with the strength he possesses I believe that only those from Leonhearts, Phoenix, Skywalker and this Mystic Gate a good chance to defeat him."
Hector trained Klein for a few months so he was somewhat aware of his capabilities.

As soon as the start of the battle was announced, the two magician onstage activated their mandated Mana Shell.
Kyla, as expected has activated her Domain Magic spell alongside protection spell.
"Fire Blessed Armor."
"Domain Magic -- Continuous Flame Orbit."
The first spell was used to create heat protection that would be coming from her domain magic. The surroundings immediately turned to a burning field, ravaging flames and moving orbs of flame can be seen as it slowly covers the whole stage.
Klein didn't stay idle and activated an Earth spell than his Field Magic making his surroundings a bit better.
"Archon -- Copper Boulders Field!"
"Glacial Remnant Field!"
He knows that the magic would only last a bit on this dominating domain magic. Once the domain magic encompasses the whole stage, who would have a very little place to maneuver. The Copper Boulders changes the surroundings by summoning several slabs of stones in 10 meters of proximity. The several dozens of this boulder only has a height of 2 feet but these boulders can be controlled to protect himself.
The Glacial Remnant Field would complement these boulders as it will add another layer of protection so the stones won't be easily shattered.

After he had confirmation that he still has stable Field Magic in 9 meters of his radius, he started to ready an offensive spell. The Glacial Remnant Field could at most last under a minute against this ravaging flame. He was waiting for an opportunity to strike. The Domain Magic was eating his defenses.
Kyla noticed that Klein wasn't attacking and only enduring the Domain Magic.
"Since you're not attacking... Let me try this spell, I haven't used it against the other three academies. Be glad."
Kyla smirked after saying this since Klein seems to possess sturdy defense. She decided that he will be a good practice target.
"Lava Mines. Detonate."
Baaamm!
An explosion can be heard shattering a part of Klein's defenses. But it didn't stop there, the explosion continues until Klein only has 3 meters of defenses left.
The referees were ready to save him the moment his Mana Shell shattered.
The audience felt that it was also only a matter of time before his Mana Shell was destroyed.
A group of students from Phoenix Academy who were readying for their final battle for the day against Leonhearts is watching the current battle.
"Well, at least he lasted longer compared to the others who only survived for a few seconds." Brent commented as he noticed that Klein was about to succumb to the powerful magic cast by Kyla.
"Every time I watch her Domain Magic, it looks fascinating. I wish I can also control this kind of spell."
"That's true, even this explosion looks beautiful. It feels like an art."
"So glad we watched this battle live. She looks so dazzling." Another commented as he noticed that Kyla was smirking.
They were captivated by whatever Kyla did. But something unexpected happened as soon as they felt it was finished.
It seems like a last-ditch effort of Klein in a struggle for a win, he abandoned his defenses and charged forward after getting the rhythm of lava mine detonation. He was covered in a yellow aura protecting him from the Domain Magic. He lifted his right hand pointing his palm towards Kyla and released the magic spell he readied.
"Obsidian Surge!"
A black orb of mana immediately landed on Kyla's Mana Shell.
Thud!
A dull impact sounded as the spell, Obsidian Surge seems to have destroyed her Mana Shell.
Everyone was surprised at this development thinking that Klein was able to do the impossible. But they saw that Kyla only smirked as the impact came from her Fire Blessed Armor. Although the spell is originally for heat or fire resistance spell, it was improved by Sheryl and can now be considered to be another barrier against any attacks.
Unfortunately, Klein wasn't able to penetrate this layer of protection.
The yellow aura covering him vanished. It seems that it could only last for a few seconds enough to cast that Obsidian Surge for a counter. Although it failed, it was a good attempt compared to the others.
He was now exposed to Kyla's Domain Magic. This immediately shattered his Mana Shell. The referees immediately acted as they cleared Klein's surroundings to protect him from the fire domain.
Kyla's victory was expected but it excited the audience as Klein did a very good performance in the battle.

Quebracho: The Legend of Two Heroes
After a violent and tough battle, you recover in an infirmary with your fellow soldiers, or in a more relatable scenario, visit your friend's house after a hard day of studying. You’d expect that both of them would play out normally for the most part, right? Well... Maxon Cortez and Jason McGuire had the same thoughts too. Yet, fate has different plans for them: Max ends up in an eerie location he doesn’t recognize and Jace gets transported to an entirely different world that works like a video game (sort of) by walking into a portal. As they travel along the lands, the two of them will encounter other individuals of many kinds, make friends new and old, gain powerful abilities, experience spectacular adventures, and obtain priceless treasures. However, Maxon and Jason will unknowingly become integral parts of a nefarious conspiracy that, if successful, will plunge both of their worlds into eternal chaos and darkness. So it’s up to them and their allies to thwart it. Side-Note: I’ll admit right off the bat that this story will be my first attempt at writing a LitRPG, so the in-game mechanics and terminology will probably look weird and be even nonsensical. If you notice something that’s out-of-place or just flat out wrong, I apologize. Not only that, it's been a while since I've wrote anything and thus I'm a little bit rusty. So please bear with me. New chapters once every Saturday or Sunday. Also, I'll be fine-tuning the grammar, punctuation, and spelling when I have the time. So expect a lot of random edits. This story is also available on ScribbleHub.
