Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 58

After the battle between Honeysuckle and Leonhearts Academy, various magicians from the remaining Magic Academies tried to analyze the battle that has occurred. Everyone plans to be prepared when they faced Leonhearts on their match.
The video copy of the battle was immediately spread out towards the so-called battle experts, magic engineers and instructors to come up with a battle plan against Leonhearts.
The said academy already claimed the champion in the First Year Division, it would be too much if they still took the Second Year Division.
Within the meeting room designated for Mystic Gate Academy, their third years were giving advice towards the second years about the previous battle that has just occurred.
Dylan, Arial, and Sheryl were the three mana technicians for the Mystic Gate and was tasked to analyze the mana artifact that the opponent used.
"There seems to be no more Hilda. I mean, that Traceless Oscillation shouldn't appear anymore."
Sheryl said calmly. While everyone was at the edge about how to face Shirley's magic spell, she reminded everyone that it was still better than that oscillation spell.
If there is still someone capable of utilizing that spell, they should've used it already instead of utilizing a new magic spell to allow them to prepare for it.
"What do you mean Sheryl?"
A third-year student asked her to explain it clearly.
"As what everyone guessed, the magic spell being used seems to be coming from a sound wave, unlike Hilda's vibration. It was indeed difficult to take on that attack unprepared and we don't even know the intensity of the attack."
"So what do you recommend that we should do to prepare?"
The same third-year asked the question.
No one was suggesting what should be done to battle against Shirley so they waited for Sheryl to give her opinion instead.
"It would be tough, but as you can see, after she activated the sonic attack, Amber was still conscious and enduring nausea or discomfort due to the magic spell. Only when she can't endure anymore was the time that she lost control of the mana shell."

"I see, so the sonic attack maybe wasn't that powerful but if you're not prepared you'll be defeated."
Arial voiced out his thought but Dylan added more.
"Sheryl also advised that we aren't aware of its intensity so we really wouldn't know if our combat magicians could endure the torture of that spell."
Everyone looked at Kyla, she was the ace of their 2nd year and positioned as the 3rd fighter.
Kyla was only silent as she seems to be pondering over something. She glanced at Sheryl, the mana technician who made 3 artifacts for her.
During the forging competition, their team made a total of 10 mana artifacts and Sheryl made 3 mana artifacts solely for her.
It must be remembered that during the first year's division, although their team lost twice. They have this mysterious magic spell that could halt or interrupt magic casting. The spell wasn't perfect and failed several times as it was difficult to utilize. This magic spell was made by Sheryl for everyone's use.
The spell was called Mana Shockwave. During their previous meeting, someone even told them it was somehow similar to what Isolde's Academy used which is Mana Explosion.
The Mana Shockwave was also an invisible magic spell that creates a simultaneous eruption of mana causing disruption in magic casting. The shockwave will halt the gathering of mana and will result to a mana burst. This mana burst happens if the casting wasn't completed and would cause the magician's self-implosion. Although self-implosion may be too much, it was enough to stop magicians in further magic casting.
Unfortunately, the spell Mana Shockwave requires perfect timing to cast because if it fails, the opponent will just feel a wave of air passing by.
Although it has similarities in the Mana Explosion that Isolde has previously used, the Mana Shockwave doesn't possess a fire element that Isolde added on their explosion.

Kyla was considering if she could use this when facing Shirley.
Unfortunately, she doesn't have enough time to think as another wave of information appeared.
"Phoenix Academy won against Abuxorth Academy."
It wasn't that surprising for them to win but the way they won was certainly eye-catching.
"The Phoenix magicians utilize a lightning magic spell!"
It was such an amazing feat for young academy students to create lightning spell. Lightning element was several more difficult to create than fire, water, wind or earth.
At the moment, only the Phoenix Academy has utilized a lightning spell.
"It seems that they also have capable mana technicians, with such a magic spell developed they might get a good ranking this year. After all, their attack was almost impossible to dodge if unprepared."
Arial said as he saw the newly arrived information.
"Since they have a lightning spells, we can just use the plan that we made during our practices. Nothing much."
The third-year student said at last.
Although they were surprised, they didn't feel pressured unlike how the Traceless Oscillation and Ultrasonic Burst did to them. They have made enough preparation to counter lightning spell users. What causes them a headache are those Wallace's traceless spell.

The Skywalker Academy was having the same meeting.
Aria Acott and Vanessa White were both third-year students from the Academy. They were the strongest duo and that allowed them to claim the championship in last year's competition.
As a matter of fact, these two were included in those students that were able to detect Wallace's Divine Sense!
It only means that they were really capable magicians that match Hilda. After all, within the Mystic Gate Academy, only Kyla Rogers was able to detect Wallace's Divine Sense and no other third year in the academy was able to do so.
Vanessa finished watching Shirley's battle and voiced some of her thoughts.
"Hooo~ That was something. This sonic attack was quite good, I can probably bear this attack but not you young ones."
'You're only 1 year older than us senior.'
'Please, take this seriously. I don't want myself to be like Amber.'
The 2nd year students would like to reply to her but was scared to be picked on by this short temperer senior. The ace of Skywalker or 3rd fighter was feeling helpless as no useful advice wad being given to him.
They asked again for advice in case there was something useful they could recommend as a battle plan.
"Well, your bodies are so fragile so you probably won't be able to take on that attack. You can just accept your defeat when faced with her. Just don't lose tragically, at least try to deal some damage."
Aria Scott beside Vanessa answered. It was as if it doesn't concern her if her fellow student lost the fight.
"Hmm... It looks to me that the technician even weakened the effects of the mana artifact to pass it on the organizer's standard. If that was strengthened or the intensity increased even more, not only nausea, headache or other pain will you receive."
They all went in silence upon hearing this.
Vanessa was sitting with her eyes closed as if trying to remember something.
"Who made this mana artifact?"
She asked the question as she opened her eyes. She looked extremely interested about the craftsman who designed this artifact.

Glitch — Alpha [Swedish] [Svenska]
********* For English readers: (Might as well add this information in English to save the lovely souls looking through our works some time) I probably won't translate this work, but I'm working on another translation within YA, if that's something you'd be interested in. This one's horror/thriller, so.. yeah. Maybe sometime in the future. Otilia works at a daycare when a child disappears. Seconds later, the child reappears, like nothing had happened. She thinks she's worked too much, but when disappearences start to happen all around the globe, she and her boyfriend realize that something has gone really, really wrong. When they get an idea about what could be the cause, no matter how unbelievable, they will do everything in their power to get the information to the right people. This was my first-ever-novel and my first gamelit story (though I had no idea that was a thing/genre at the time). This novel contains a lot of violence and blood and can be uncomfortable to read for some people. There is also some violence from, and off-screen violence to, children.
