Samantha, Alice, and Escanor were watching the battle the whole time but they were seated 3 rows below Wallace's group.

"What? How was the battle ended? I didn't see any spells thrown by Hilda at all."

Samantha was surprised at the result of the battle as she weren't able to comprehend the battle that has occurred. A similar notion was heard in other audiences who were keeping an eye on their match.

"I didn't know you've prepared such a powerful magic spell in the artifact you've made for her."

"Haha! No. It wasn't my idea. That magic structure was passed over to me by Wallace. Unfortunately, the magic spell requires a powerful magician to utilize that spell so it was only usable for Hilda in our first-year roster."

Escanor laughed and admitted that it wasn't his idea. Samantha and Alice then nodded as they realize how amazing their senior was.

"I hope he can teach me it's magic structure too."

Alice murmured as she felt a bit envious since only Escanor was taught of the magic structure. But Escanor was able to catch it and given her an advice instead.

"I could teach it to you if Sir Wallace agreed, you can ask him later."

Escanor suggested to Alice which she happily agreed on and was now excited to ask later. He wasn't knowledgeable enough to tell how it works but he only followed or copied the magic structure made by Wallace.

"I shouldn't have bothered adding other standard magics if this spell was this powerful."

Escanor murmured as he was in awe on the magic artifact he created.

At the entrance for audience area in the arena, two students from Leonhearts Academy had just arrived and had seen how Hilda easily shattered her enemy's Mana Shell.

Right now, even Jason had collapsed and being helped by the referee. Medic team was immediately sent out to diagnose Jason's injury. Due to how fast the skill that Hilda released, there has been no time for the two referees to help Jason avert damages.

"So, this is the spell he has given to Escanor to create for her?"

It was Tracy who asked the question though she wasn't waiting for any answer.

"How did he come up with such an amazing magic spell?"

Ross was also very curious about the spell that Hilda released. The Scourge Staff is supposedly specializing in Flame, Wind, and a little bit of Earth Magic Spell because of the materials it contains. But now, the magic structure for the staff seems to have been modified to a certain extent and it could now release this unknown magic spell.

"I'd like to know as well."

Tracy could only say this as she watches Jason receive first aid treatment with Mage Doctors assigned in the arena.

Jason recovered after the treatment and was similarly confused about how he had lost. Besides that, he felt disappointed as well having lost their first battle in the competition.

'There are still 10 other academies. We can still do this'

He encouraged himself as he accepted his defeat in today's battle. He was also planning to watch the recorded battle between him and Hilda as he was curious about how he just suddenly felt dizzy and collapse in the stage.

"Hey Wallace, what was that?"

Ericka asked Wallace beside her. Gilbert and Kazimir in the same row were similarly interested so they kept quiet and waited for their classmate to answer.

Wallace did not keep them in suspense and answered truthfully.

"That's 'Traceless Oscillation', it is still crude but it seems that it's working properly."

"Oscillation? Eh, how does that work?"

Wallace was silent for a moment as if thinking about how he would explain the science behind it.

"Resonance, it is when a structure or object is forced to vibrate at its natural frequency, its vibration amplitude increases. In other words, if this structure or object begins to vibrate in a violent manner, it will collapse and this will lead to its total destruction. In Jason's case, after Hilda forcefully destroyed his Mana Shell, he received backlash due to an abrupt stoppage of his mana flow causing him to collapse."

Wallace tried to explain it as simple as possible. As he felt that there will be more follow up questions, he added more.

"After this competition, I'll formally register this magic structure as my exclusive magic skill."

'It had limited use at the moment as the magic structure was hastily made. Only those with strong mana fluctuations could use it. Even I would have trouble utilizing it like how Hilda did. But once I fully develop and improve its structure, I should be able to utilize it as well.'

Wallace added in his mind and as soon as he reached this thought, sounds of gasp and surprise were heard again in the audience area.

"Eh, it seems that Isolde was having trouble with Abuxorth Academy."

"The score is 2-2. To think that the battle will last until the 5th match."

"Hmm, it's either the Isolde has gone weaker or Abuxorth has recruited strong students this time."

"Don't say it like that, they were first years after all. As you can see, almost all the magic spells they are releasing are all standard ones. It just depends on their strategy. It seems that Abuxorth students heavily studied their opponents this time."

"That's true, I noticed how they could calmly act in various spells released by Isolde's students. Too bad, the variation of their magic spell is too limited so they are losing the one on one match."

"Unfortunately, the 5th match would be another 1v1 match. Abuxorth will have a high chance of losing the battle then."

Wallace heard various comments from the audience. He was glad that the match between the two schools would last that long.

After all, this competition is round-robin so they will be fighting all other schools. It would be better for them to be aware of all magic spells and capabilities of other magic academies. Of course, it would be the same for other schools.

Since the battle between Leonhearts and Honeysuckle was finished, some students from their academy left to take a break but Wallace stayed as he was quite interested now in the last battle between the other two schools.

The round-robin battle between the first-year students of 12 academies will last until this afternoon and will continue tomorrow morning. So a day and a half is allocated for each academic year.

Tracy and Ross approached Wallace's group as it seems that they were also interested in the battle that was about to commence.

"Hey, are you interested in why we've met with our instructors?"

Tracy teased Wallace but he only smiled at her. He knows that Tracy would still tell him even if he didn't ask knowing her attitude.
