Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 21

After his Divine Sense touched the metal lump on the table, information about these pieces of metal appeared in his mind.
Wallace was able to tell that the structure of these metal pieces would actually form a full-body armour once fitted together.
Interesting...
This is what Wallace thought while admiring the pieces of metal on the table.
He remembered his full body bio-armor he wore before he 'died', it is a product of the most advanced technology before he got here in this world. It was a development made from magnetic mechanical suit and nanotechnology.
"No, this is Wallace. He's a second year and will join your team... or will assist you guys. Since all other third years already have formed their team."
It was Elaine who explained to them.
"What?!"
"Uhmm.. Is that a joke?"
"Seriously? I don't really mind but can he really help?"
"Perhaps... we should just change our research topic?"
They had different opinions as it should be since a second year student dared to get involved in their project. Of course, since it was their instructor who told them and if she was really serious then there should be a reason for this arrangement.
"Yes, it was decided by me and was approved by the headmaster. He's capable so he should be able to help."
Elaine smiled at them as she calmly answered their questions. She was aware that it was Wallace who created the magic jammer canceller and she was confident about his skills due to how complex that magic structure was.
The five could only accept it even though they were still unwilling. Since they really couldn't disobey or argue with this gentle instructor they had.
Wallace looked at the five students. There was only 1 female in their group and he wasn't familiar with any of them.

"Alright, you guys have to brief Wallace about your research topic so he could help you. It seems our headmaster is looking forward to have this research move a step forward. I know Wallace will be able to provide assistance. So I'll leave now, try not to stay too late here."
""Yes, Ma'am""
After the instructor left Wallace with his seniors, it got a bit awkward before someone started the conversation.
"First, let's introduce ourselves. I'm Eric, leader of this group."
"Mei."
"My real name is a bit long, so just call me Neo."
"Hello, I'm Darryl."
"Jake, nice meeting you."
The five of them were being polite with him. Apparently, even though they were somewhat against the idea of letting him in the group, they at least planned to test his skills first before appealing to their instructor.
Wallace looked at the group leader. He was a blond guy with fair skin, and had a prominent cheek bone. He then glanced at everyone, nodded and introduced himself again even though it was already done by Elaine.
"I'll do my best to help."
Wallace could only say at the end. He now had an idea on what they were researching. If that thing on the table was what they were studying indeed.
"So, we're stuck at this..." Mei pointed at the lump of metals at the center of the table before continuing.
"Can you tell me what these pieces of metals are?"
He was being tested. Wallace glanced at Mei, who had big blue eyes, fluffy short brown hair with tanned skin. And as she was currently standing, he was able to confirm that they had almost the same height.
The other students kept quiet and waited for his answer. They thought it would be difficult to determine these pieces of metal without prior knowledge.

Of course, Wallace was aware that Mei isn't asking the name of the metal pieces. She was asking the purpose of these metals.
"That's an armour technology that could form a weaponized exoskeleton."
As Wallace answered quickly, they couldn't help but glance at each other and doubt their instructor. They thought that Elaine already briefed this person about their research.
"Mhm... that's right. We're having trouble in the operation time of this suit. It hasn't been resolved by previous researchers and developers as they blamed it on our insufficient advancement in technology instead."
Wallace could somehow agree on what Mei had said. He had already observed every piece of metals on the table and noticed that the suit heavily relied on mana and no other source of energy. He observed as well that they leaned more towards the advancement of magic structure to resolve their issue.
As a source of power, they all relied on a mana stone, a material that could store mana which could be used indefinitely. If Wallace wanted to help them, he had to provide knowledge with regards to possible alternative energy sources and even consider some changes on the metals that was being used here.
If not that, Wallace had to create a revolutional magic structure to resolve this issue.
"If you have an idea, just tell us. Anyway, we don't have to create a working armor itself. We just have to make a viable resolution and prove it on our papers then we can submit it to be checked."
It was Eric this time who further explained their situation.
"I have a couple of ideas that might be able to help you here."
Actually, Wallace planned to complete the mission with the highest rating to get the bonus reward. He was thinking that if they weren't able to create this armour technology with longer operation time, he wouldn't get the bonus.
Unfortunately, resolving this issue would be difficult and he could only give up on the bonus reward for now.
As he was thinking of missing a bonus reward, the five students couldn't believe what they heard from Wallace. He actually thought of a resolution already? Are you really aware of the problem? Do you really think it is that easy to solve this?
They could only hope that Wallace really had a resolution. If he was messing with them, they would immediately throw him out.

Car Park 1 of the Academy.
Elaine is currently inside her car talking to her phone.
"Brother, was it really that amazing?"
"Yes, last night, I alone defeated the spies with the help of this magic structure. It's quite amazing for a 16 year old kid to develop that highly complex structure. He'll definitely reach higher standing in the future."
Elaine was silent for a moment before answering.
"Ok then, let's see how far he can reach."
Elaine smiled and continued her chat with her brother with other topics.

And more importantly - can it help him survive in a world where his first friend is a reject in all communities? Will Jamie, Adam, and the other friends and teammates they make in their journey find peace, allies, and love? Or will they fall to the powerful Adventurers that soon begin to hunt their team, to claim the bounties on several of its members, a bounty Jamie himself quickly finds on his own head? All of Book 1 is now posted, and Limitless Adaptation is officially done with the decision to rewrite. Credits for the cover go to me. Content warning information: this story includes lots of killing of different sentient beings, but it doesn't have explicit gore. I still put a content warning, because it's better to be safe than sorry. It also contains a few profane words here and there... No sex scenes or traumatic content, I'll try to keep it positive.
