Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 19

The two elite magicians of the Lucent Force were running fast without any sound in the dark night. They were about to reach the suspected hideout of the enemy country's spy.
It was an abandoned building near the edge of the city. The building's main entrance was facing the road on the north and a river on its south. A lush forest was behind this river and it was where the two soldiers silently appeared.
Hawk had drawn out his two gold-plated guns, his favorite artifacts. Their ammunition was specially made mana material, so instead of a human-made metal bullet, a highly compressed elemental bullet would come out that was capable of instantly destroying weak mana shells.
Apparently, the creation of the Magic Jammer Canceller was still time-consuming and it didn't have a 100% success rate. Jax stone was a very fragile material that could easily be destroyed if it received too much pressure during the infusing process. It meant that with the short duration when the government's Magic Engineers received the structure, they were only able to successfully create one Magic Jammer Canceller.
Currently, it was Raven who was assigned to equip this mana artifact for this mission.
"I'll go in, just stay here and make sure no one escape." Raven said gravely. He was confident in his skills in combat and he was willing to attack alone in the abandoned building.
Unfortunately, if his enemies decided to flee instead of battling him, he lacked sufficient skills to prevent many people from escaping at the same time. His plan to let Hawk stay outside was because his partner specialized in more diverse attacks.
Hawk only nodded behind his cloak and readied his position. He chose a water tank tower near the abandoned building, an elevated position where he could see the whole surroundings.

At the same time that he positioned himself.
Bang!!
Raven blasted open the rusted metal door of the building, he used his right hand equipped with a gauntlet emitting purple light to smash it open. Dust and debris was thrown all over inside the building.
"Enemies!!"
Some of them were injured by Raven's first attack. They immediately used their weapons to counter-attack. They numbered 15 as Raven counted and were all equipped with high powered guns.
Since Raven specialized in frontal combat, he was more than willing to face them head-on.
"Show me what you've got!"
As soon as he shouted, the body armor that he wore inside the cloak suddenly emitted a purple light that expanded to form a 5-meter radius dome protecting him from the inside. It only lasted for a second before abruptly shrinking in and covering his whole body instead.
The high powered guns that would normally trouble standard magicians were useless in front of this protective cover that Raven had activated.
Ding! Ding! Ding!...
A metallic sound was the only thing being heard whenever the bullets touched his cover. It lacked the sound of flesh being torn by the high powered gun's bullet. When they noticed that bullets weren't working, some had even thrown explosives leaving a deafening blast.
Raven immediately activated the other mana artifact that he wore, it was the boots he was wearing. Red light covered his feet before a Haste Skill was activated.
"Ahhh!"
"Noo!"
"Where's Lance?!!"
Every time he neared an enemy that was using a gun to shoot him, a shout of pain was following on as he punched them using his enhanced gauntlet. They were being thrown in air, rendered heavily injured and knocked unconscious.
Some other guy even called their superior in despair. This time, as Raven was about to finish them. A wave of noise was suddenly heard as his magic skills were suddenly canceled.

The protective layer suddenly collapsed as the enemy retreated afraid to be the next victim of this combat magician. Raven was now standing in front of a blue cloaked man.
If Wallace was here, he would recognize that this person was the same one who battled a Zairus soldier in a video that the student council president allowed him to watch.
"So you're really here."
Instead of being afraid as he lost his magic skills because of the newcomer, Raven's expression was delighted.
Their informant only told them that there was only a 30% chance that this cloaked guy still hadn't left the vicinity of the Tanza City and rendezvoused with the other enemies that they are already monitoring.
Apparently, the government was already aware of their location from the start and allowed them to stay in a monitored place keeping them informed of their activities.
There were also possibly more secrets in why the government allowed this but it didn't matter anymore. As Raven planned to capture them all now.
Raven immediately activated the ring he had on his left index finger. It immediately allowed him to use all his mana artifacts. He had not given the cloaked guy a chance to learn that his jammer was canceled as he vanished and reappeared at the back of the enemy.
"What?! How could you-"
As the guy felt Raven's presence at his back, he was shocked and immediately attempted to gain distance.
Of course, Raven did not allow it to happen as he slapped the man's back and multiple purple hands made of mana bounded the cloaked guy. It was magic spell coming from auxiliary magic in his gauntlet.
As the man was bounded by the purple light. Raven approached him and punched the man in the stomach putting him in pain and another one in the jaw to put him unconscious.
"That's for our Falcon."
Raven said after and looked at his surroundings.
He noticed that aside from the 11 enemies lying on the floor, the remaining survivors in his assault had fled the building. He did not bother to chase over the small fry as Hawk was outside to clean it up.
***
The next morning, Wallace woke up early and took his breakfast while watching the news on the television.
He noticed news about some explosions that had occurred in an abandoned building at the edge of the city. It was said to be a military practice conducted by the army. Wallace did not think too much about it as he only noticed it since it happened in his city.
Wallace prepared himself as he went to the Academy. Today, he would meet his senior and he was hoping that no trouble would arise.
