Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 12

Everyone in the room nodded in approval of what Wallace mentioned about the Magic Jammer. But if it were to be other people watching it, they may not think that it was a magic jammer. Others may think that the cloaked man was using an abnormally strong ability of a mana artifact.
As the recording was analyzed by the student council, they all came up with the same conjecture that it was a Magic Jammer as they could not think of another strong defensive ability that could defend against all those offensive skills thrown by that soldier.
But they could only guess, after all, the Magic Jammer mentioned had limitations. It should not work like how the cloaked man did it.
"Although I can say that it was a Magic Jammer. The principle it uses differs from what I have learned. It was probably a variant of a perfected version." Wallace added but he wasn't sure and could only guess at some point.
Magic Jammer was a magic structure created by the Dasovich Royal Family of the Maja Country during a struggle of power against the Guwain Freedom Alliance. The country was in dire straits as the Maja King of that time was assassinated. The conquered country of Guwain took its chance to regain its freedom from the royal family. They took up their arms and fought for their liberty.
Unfortunately, the leaders of the Alliance became greedy. Instead of just claiming back their land which was their original objective, they tried to completely end the royal family's regime. They forced the royalty's hand who released their imperfect Magic Jammer.
Its magic structure still had a lot of flaws at that time but considering how it could intermittently cancel the magic attacks of the enemies it was a huge help to the normal soldiers, using their high powered gun they could easily kill magicians without the protection of defensive skills of mana artifacts. Their only concern was the magician's mana shell.

But there was a limitation on the mana pool of every magician so it only took some time to reverse the situation. Soldiers accompanied by magicians wielding magic jammer would spell death to any magicians they encountered. It was soon time for the royal family to take their revenge, they immediately utilized their high mobility magician battalions to sweep through the battlefield and stabilized the country.
Although the Guwain Freedom Alliance had succeeded in taking back their lands, they suffered heavy casualties as they did not expect that the trump card of the royalty was so ruthless. Magicians who were used to controlling mana to attack were rendered helpless.
The magician battalions released by the royalty received some damages as well and during that war, there were times where the enemies were able to steal their mana artifact from the fallen magicians. Although they did their best to retrieve the mana artifacts containing the Magic Jammer structure, there were still some cases of successfully stolen items. It could not be avoided in a large scale war, so the most they could do was to limit it.
It was discovered by the Guwain Country who regained their freedom that the flawed Magic Structure the Maja Royalty created was based on the Lamat Stone that could only be mined in the Builak Plateau which was located near the center of the Maja Country.
The Lamat Stone combined with the Magic Jammer structure was able to release a formless wave of dissonance to interrupt any magic invocation in a certain range. The flaw of this structure was that the wielder would be unable to use other magics as well while it was activated. It was not capable of differentiating friends or foes.
The discovery of the enemy put the royalty in a predicament as several neighboring countries wanted to have a piece of it. The Magic Jammer was a game-changer. If a country had a steady supply of its perfected magic structure and Lamat Stone that was needed as a material, the invincible magicians would be destroyed by regular people wielding a high powered gun as long as they had a helper who could activate the magic jammer.

The leaders of various countries hastily made arrangements to procure its supply to equip their soldiers. Countries allied and readied themselves for a war for resources.
If the royal family hadn't done anything, their country would have been the battlefield and countless citizens would have been affected. The royal family received offers of alliance with the Republic of the Virgan, island nation of Montego, and Zairus, a landlocked country in the southern part of the continent. Those three countries who offered help were already in decades of alliance and the Maja Country was invited in it. The royalty accepted the offer to have enough means to protect their country.
The Guwain Country with its newly established government adopted a constitutional monarchy. The heir of their late King was the one who led their fight for freedom and was proclaimed as the new King. He was King Darson the Third, he gained support from other countries to demand the royalty of Maja a supply of the indispensable Lamat stone.
He allied with Kazan, an island country in the east, Utara, a nation bordered by Virgan, Maja, and Guwain. Even though he was still unstable on his power, the new king was able to establish cooperation with the strong nation of Seiji as well.
A war was about to erupt with the eight countries involved when something suddenly happened. The war suddenly halted as they had received news telling them that the plateau containing the Lamat stone vanished leaving a several kilometers wide crater. Even the miners, soldiers, and Magicians stationed on it disappeared together with the plateau. It was a very strange phenomenon that had occurred.
The plateau was heavily guarded and constantly being patrolled. No meteorite had fallen or high powered magic that could dissolve the entire plateau was used. The only conspicuous thing during that time was the thick fog that covered the plateau before it vanished. Many conspiracy theories came up and the most popular theory that was being entertained was that a superpower in the northern part of the continent had made a move. But nothing was proven as it was all conjectures.
This case had never been resolved even after more than 60 years had passed. After several negotiations made with their neighboring countries, Maja's Royalty had succeeded in making a non-aggression pact with the other countries. And after several changes of their leader, this turned into a peace treaty instead.
The Lamat stone that was required to forge Magic Jammers could not be mined any longer. Even a huge part of it was destroyed during the war. A mana artifact containing this magic structure was already in a rare list of artifacts.
A small number of magic jammers could not affect a large country, especially after it was studied carefully. They were able to form a strategy to handle magic jammers as it only had a small area of effect.
"If you can tell me how the soldier could have used the 6 mana artifact he was using to defeat the cloaked man, you can join the student council." Aaron said finally.
The question was combat-related but if you were not aware of how the six artifacts worked, you wouldn't be able to answer as well.

Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
