Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 10

The twins Kenneth and Katherine didn't have a lot of interactions with their fellow classmates so it was surprising of them to proactively approach Wallace.
The two's normal routine was attending class then after that, they would be escorted by their chauffeur or perhaps their bodyguard as they went home.
"Uhm, can we talk somewhere else?"
Kenneth asked as he noticed that they were being stared at. Wallace stood up and told Gilbert to wait for him at the cafeteria.
As they stood in an empty hallway in about 2 classrooms away from theirs, Wallace had a closer look at the both of them.
They both had blond hair, fair skin, and their prominent feature were their deep blue eyes that could captivate anyone looking at it.
"Would you like to be part of the student council?"
Katherine suddenly asked.
"Sorry?"
Wallace was of course confused by the sudden invitation. He wanted to make sure as well that he heard correctly.
"Why me?"
"Well, let me explain the situation. My cousin is actually the current student council president and I was the one invited by him to be part of the committee. But I can't join due to my circumstances..."
It was Katherine who answered but it was continued by Kenneth.
"We wouldn't have spare time for such school activities. We'd be better off training our skills."
Wallace noticed that Kenneth was a bit stern. The complete opposite of Katherine who was becoming more genial as she spoke.
As Wallace went silent and thought for a bit, it prompted Katherine to continue her explanation.
"What really happened here is that they have a vacant position as Sheryl transferred to a different academy."
Oh, I see now. Sheryl was indeed a member of the student council, I'm just not aware of her position. Wallace thought as he realized that it was all because of her that he was given an opportunity to join the committee. But he was a student of the Magic Engineering course! Normally, only students of the Combat Magician's course had a say in the committee. Wallace frowned as he was still a bit confused with the situation.

Katherin noticed this so she explained further.
"Our cousin Aaron would actually like to implement some changes and wants our course to be involved in the student council. He said that he would be needing a coordinator from our bunch so once the TMAC started, he would not be looking for someone unfamiliar."
"How about Tracey, Mark, or Ross?"
"We already approached them but they declined."
They definitely had poor persuading skills.
"If I accept the position, it will definitely consume my time doing committee activities too. What would I gain if I joined?"
Wallace wasn't looking for material benefits but would just like to let the twins know that his time was precious as well just like their.
"Well, there are several privileges that members of the student council can benefit from..."
Katherine was explaining the benefits he could get but Wallace was not focused on listening to her as he received notifications from the Pathfinder.
[ Be a part of the student council in your Academy to broaden your horizon.
Mission: Be a registered member of the student council
Reward: x1 Mystery Box
Failing to complete the mission will be bad for the user. ]
Wallace was awed about the new mission. To think that this opportunity that just appeared, had triggered the Pathfinder, he somehow gained a better understanding of how the Pathfinder worked.
He did not think too much about the mystery box as he would receive it later on once he completed the mission. Wallace was more curious about what kind of penalty he would get if he failed the mission.
"Ok. I accept it."
"Really? That's great, we will speak with Aaron and explain to him that we invited you instead. He will definitely be glad as you just ranked 1st in our exam."

"I hope so, but do you think that there wouldn't be a problem with other members that a student of the Magic Engineering course would be part of the council?"
"Mhm, I don't think so. At most, they may try to get a better look at your skills. But I'm sure you can handle that, you're one of our classmates after all."
Yes, of course. She was confident as the class they were in was carefully selected to be the elite class. Every one of them had talents that were unique of their own so they were chosen.
"Meet us at around 3 pm at the student council office in Building B. We will introduce you to Aaron."
Katherine advised Wallace before he left for lunch at the cafeteria.
Wallace met with Gilbert who had reserved a seat for him. Wallace took his food and thanked Gilbert.
Wallace chatted and informed Gilbert as well that it was indeed confirmed that Sheryl transferred to a different academy.
He still had a lot of time before the meetup time of 3 pm. So he visited the library and passed over his time. He read information about materials commonly being used at artifact forging. He was looking as well for rare materials and was clearly planning for something. He already had an idea of Mana Artifact that he would like to build.
Unfortunately, it required a special type of material. But once he completed the magic structure for it, he would definitely be approached by the academy instructors to participate in the Twelve Magic Academy Competitions - Artifact Forging section.
He couldn't help but feel excited once he thought about it. Wallace needed to properly make a timetable for his work to make sure he could complete it before the competition started.
After spending some time in the library, Wallace came to Building B and looked for the student council room on the 2nd floor. There he met Katherine waiting for him. She was alone and gesturing for him to speed up his walk.
"Let's get in. Five members of the council are inside. Good luck classmate!"

Mists of Redemption
In the twenty years since the Gates opened and began releasing hordes of monsters onto Earth, half the human population had been killed, governments collapsed, and a new breed of enhanced humans evolved to protect us — Hunters. The day after I graduated from high school, I tested positive as a Hunter. The weakest Hunter in human history. In a society where the strong rule and the weak become prey, it was a death sentence. I knew that, but I wasn’t going to just roll over and die. Pitted daily against monsters I couldn’t kill and ostracized by other Hunters, my miserable existence changed when I heard five words. ‘I will make you stronger.’ A ‘System’ attached to my soul, one that allowed me to level up and become stronger. But the ‘System’ wanted something from me. All I wanted was to live and enable my family to eat. The price was to become a tool for someone else’s revenge. Note from the author: Chapters are going to be released every Monday and Friday morning. Keep a look out!

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.

The Creature from the Dark (HIATUS)
What happens when the protagonist of a story isn't even remotely human? This story is about a fairly intelligent but ignorant creature and the chaos brought into its simple life by the first encounter with humans it has ever had. I intend to take it fairly slow. I hope you enjoy it. :)
