The yellow light disappeared in a twinkle. Yoo Chun Young left like that in a flash. It felt a little odd. Feeling his absence, I kind of missed him already. I mean, the fact that Yoo Chun Young was here just until now seemed untrue. Then I turned my head when someone flung a question to me.

“Donnie, was Yoo Chun Young here to see you?”

“Yeah.”

“Did you guys fight? I thought so.”

“Um… no, but…”

“Do you know that you guys tend to quarrel the most?”

“Yeah, I do know that,” replying like that, I laughed out in a small voice.

Ban Yeo Ryung winked at me then tapped my back as if she was comforting me. Ban Yeo Dan, on the other hand, stared at the spot where Yoo Chun Young disappeared then turned to look at this direction as the elevator arrived.

When we got into the elevator, he called Ban Yeo Ryung.

“Yeo Ryung.”

“Yeah, oppa.”

“The boy just now seemed to have his photo on the wall in the boutique earlier.”

“Huh? A photo?”

With my eyes wide open, I looked at his side and asked, “Whose photo? You mean, Yoo Chun Young?” Ban Yeo Ryung, beside me, then nodded.

“Oh, yeah, there was also Yoo Chun Young in the photos. I saw it too. You mean that one, right?”

“Come on, what photo was that?”

“His abs were sick.”

“…?”

‘Hold on, what was sick?’ I thought. Ban Yeo Ryung then kept on her words.

“You know, abs. Yoo Chun Young was in a photo almost half-naked showing his abs. He wore a light pink and gray turtleneck sweater. With that on, he was showing his tummy, but anyway, he had killing abs. He really had a sick pack on that slim waist, which astonished me.”

“Do you have that photo?”

“Nope, but… Oppa! Which brand’s photo was that?”

“Never mind, it’s fine. I’ll just borrow the magazine from the kids in my class,” I replied then quietly smiled.

Ban Yeo Dan asked me apathetically from the side, “What are you gonna do with that?”

Before I was about to answer back, I glanced at Ban Yeo Dan’s face. Inside the bright elevator, his shaded face looked more like a sculpture piece. His coal-black eyes had a pool of languid aura on them. Though he could never be mine, he was still a national treasure-leveled handsome guy.

‘Hmm…’ I frowned. I couldn’t speak honestly while fearing my image turning bad to him. As the prolonged silence went on, Ban Yeo Ryung asked back in suspicion.

“Donnie, last time, you fainted when you saw my brother stepping out from the bathroom topless. So, why do you want to see it?”

“Um, that was…”

‘I didn’t faint out of surprise. It was because I loved it.’ I suppressed myself speaking honestly like that.

As I didn’t respond for a while, Ban Yeo Ryung shook my arm constantly, whereas Ban Yeo Dan looked as if he didn’t care about it that much. Except for his sister, he usually had no interest in everything at all.

When I came back to my house, I quickly laid myself on the bed then took out my phone. I sent a text.

Mina~ Do you have a magazine featuring Yoo Chun Young? lol I heard there’s a good photo of him

Within a few seconds, she texted back. When I opened the flip phone, I had a smile of satisfaction.

I closed the flip phone with a smile. Yoo Chun Young was Yoo Chun Young, and abs were abs. That day I didn’t have any nightmares or outlandish dreams. I slept in peace after a long time.

The next day, I bid farewell to Ban Yeo Ryung and pulled out my slipper from the shoe rack. As I put those on and trudged into the classroom, I felt the airflow a bit off. Today, I came to school quite late than usual, so the class looked kind of packed.

I sensed some malicious attention and whispers following behind me. Though it wouldn’t be something ill-intentioned, a few girls looked at me with eyes full of suspicion. I furrowed my brows. My intuition wouldn’t be wrong because I was used to distinguishing attention. No, I got to be used to from the time I had with Ban Yeo Ryung for the last three years.

I took my bag down on the desk first. Shin Suh Hyun, Kim Hye Woo, and a few boys sitting near me said hi apathetically. When I saw Yoon Jung In, he was having fun chitchatting with a few boys near the locker.

The group of boys seem to talk about a different topic; besides, boys didn’t intervene in girls’ things. The weird air surrounding me was, therefore, revolving around the girls. Shin Suh Hyun and Kim Hye Woo glanced at me as if they were about to tell me something; however, they didn’t say anything from not catching the right timing.

Sitting on my seat, I clenched and opened my fist. Yi Ruda then spoke to me as he walked pass me by.

“Hi.”

“Hey.”

Her voice sounded sweeter and tender than usual. Just by listening to her voice, something that happened between us seemed untrue. ‘Did nothing really happen?’ I thought.

Yi Ruda, however, bent her kind blue eyes then just sat on her seat. She always smiled but today she looked more delighted than usual. ‘Does she know about what happened to me? Or else, is she just having something good to her?’ It was then when I stared at the back of her yellow hair while feeling complicated.

Kim Hye Hill, Lee Mina, and a few girls walked toward my seat. I was also waiting for them to come over. If they confronted me, I would, at least, explain about something, but fortunately, they didn’t show any signs of hostility. It was just Kim Hye Hill, who slightly frowned her blue-black eyes, scowling at another girl.

The girl who had her attention was called Lee Soo Yeon. She was the one who initiated a conversation when Ruda confessed something like a crush on me at the beginning of the semester. She asked me for the numbers of the Four Heavenly Kings too. When I said no, she quibbled over the reason for the denial with teary eyes. The girl who particularly had shiny polished nails, that was her, Lee Soo Yeon.

I didn’t completely grasp the overall situation yet; however, I, at least, knew who was in the center of the malicious airflow around me. Lee Soo Yeon, it was her.

“Donnie, let’s just go outside for a second,” Kim Hye Hill said.

Maybe she meant that speaking about the overall situation out loud wouldn’t be appropriate since there were boys inside here. Shin Suh Hyun and Kim Hye Woo glanced at my direction with a bit concerned eyes. I nodded.

Anyway, I should, at least, listen about what was going on to solve the situation, and, as long as I remember, I didn’t do anything wrong. If it was about the Four Heavenly Kings, well… I furrowed my eyes. It was true that I pretended not to be close to them.

However, if it were the reason, only those who admired the Four Heavenly Kings enthusiastically should’ve sent me that bad look. But now, even Kim Hye Hill and Lee Mina seemed to be concerned about me, so that wouldn’t be the reason.

It was the moment when I tried to stand up and say, yes, to Kim Hye Hill. Lee Soo Yeon, who talked about something to the girls with crossed arms while leaning on the bookshelf on the wall, suddenly walked toward my direction.

Pushing herself through Kim Hye Hill and Lee Mina, Lee Mina simply came over to me and put a twisted smile on her face. She then said to me while knitting her brows.

“Hey, you’re so ridiculous!”

She had a high tone and sharp voice that the boys in our class often talked behind her back how loud she was when she wasn’t inside the classroom. As soon as Lee Soo Yeon said like that, everyone’s eyes were on me.

Her voice was so particular that Yoon Jung In, who spoke noisily in the back, also stopped talking. He then looked at us in wonder. My brows met in the middle.

‘What’s wrong with you? If you had something to say, we could’ve talked outside the classroom. Why is she also drawing attention from those who have nothing to do with us?’

As Yoon Jung In also paused his words, there came a heavy silence that didn’t match the classroom filled with bright sunlight. The pouring attention could be burdensome, but Lee Soo Yeon was rather confident.
