Obsession: The Lycan King's Human Mate Chapter 130

"I cannot guarantee you anything." The king inform the young king of the vampires who had not left their country yet. "My beast would be unstable after watching my mate after so long. For months to go by without a mate's touch drive the lycan crazy." He muttered the information about having no intention to share it but that none the less so that the young king was informed of what was about to happen."I do not expect my brother to come out of it alive. He is too far gone for me to pray or even make efforts for his safety." The Vampire king, Cassius said so as he sipped blood from his glass. "He is my father's legitimate son and I am sure my father would have done everything possible, even risking a war, for his safety."
"And you won't?" Xavier turned him with a lazy smirk glancing back at him and then looking out of the window again.
Cassius laughed. "No I would not. He is now more of a liability. A vampire who has gone mad in the love of his mate is long dead and if she ever returns there is no assurance that it would be her soul and not a dead demon's."
Xavier nodded. When he was made aware of the fact that what he was about to do Xavier knew that it was not going to be completed because Adeline was not in that state and also even if he did carry out the ritual there was no assurance that Isla would ever come back as she was earlier before her death.
Coming back from the dead or bringing bagdad all together was something highly risky and know which ever tried to do it, whosoever did always failed. There was no way to capture a person's soul and keep it safe so that no other one could harm them or use the opportunity to come back to the world of Living.

The human world had no idea how true the insidious was.
"That is very true." The Lycan king agreed. "But have you never try to stop him or even find him?"
Cassius sighed in exhaustion. "I did. I tried every trick in the book and even took the help of witches but Isla has had a good cloaking spell on him and he had a few which is on his side as well. When we were first made aware of the ritual and the werewolf going missing I realised that this was too far gone and I no longer want it to be a part of this."
"I would officially like to inform you that my brother is no longer part of the family or even belonging to my kingdom as my subject. He has been exercised and it is your choice to the kill him or hold him as a prisoner."
Xavier scoffed. "At times death is too easy for people."
It had been 195 days that he had been separated from his mate. For any like in who had already made his mate it would have been impossible to even be separated for a week but they have you had to take the throne and that could not happen if we had his mate right next to him.
Not only that but he was advised and forced to stay away from is mate for her own safety. His family and counsel did not realise that they had only drove him on the edge so much so that there was sure that the moment huis eyes would land on her, he was going to forcefully mark her so that she could never escape him again.
He had never been given a chance to explain herself as she has surrounded herself with policeman, human of all of them and he could not even try to get past them as she did not allow anyone to come near her. They have been separated and for what he still did not know because he wanted to hear it from her.

The girl that he had loved and had never expected this to happen from.
"What would you do when you find your mate?" Cassius asked as he stared at the table, lost in his won thoughts as well. "Being away from them is never going to be easy is it?"
Xavier shops his head. "No, never." He confirmed. "I do not know how longer can I control my beast's hunger to meet its mate. They all have deprived me from her for so long that I believe the moment I see her no one will see her ever again."
"I don't think her even selfie like that." Cassius commented making Xavier scoff.
"I do not care about human cells things a longer. What I will care about from now is what my beast want because I have deprived him for so long. I got a forcefully m a role in the moment I saw her but I give it time I made her fall in love with me but she chose to not believe me and run away instead. Now she will face the consequences."
Xavier sighed and looked down. The Luna's gaurds stood there, practising and awaiting the arrival of the beloved woman who was going to stand beside their king and rule them all, who's kindness and gentleness along with the luck that she would bring tot he pack was much awaited.
They all had the strong protecting king and now they all needed the ever so gentle and motherly Luna making them the perfect and fit pair to rule the entire shapeshifting realm.
Adaline would be the most protected woman in the universe, her royal guards would consist of every specie ever known, also given that she was human all of them would want to protect her even more full staff from every child to every elder adelina would be the sole purpose is to protect.
She was going to be the reason for all the shapeshifting welcome to grow once again as the presence of Luna would affect them that march. Adeline would have no escape from any of them.

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.

Campaign: A Project Starfarer Sidestory
This novel’s lore, story and characters are entirely fictitious. Certain long-standing countries, institutions, organizations, agencies, and public offices are mentioned, but their histories and the characters involved are wholly imaginary. "What will you do with your freedom?"Growing up in a meritocracy, infamous for being lawless, Jordan Astros had been repeatedly asked this question, since times unmemorable. In a society where one's accomplishments and skills were tallied and ranked in order to determine one's standard of living however, Jordan quickly grew to understand that 'freedom,' was a reward earned by accumulating Merit. And so, after his 17th birthday, Jordan departed his Clan's habitat in orbit of Europa to embark on his century-long journey to rise from E-Ranker to S-Rank. And spread his name throughout the Galilean Powers. *** Campaign is a sidestory within its NanoPunk parent series, Project Starfarer. (Yet to be published. Be on the lookout for it!) In which the first transhuman known to humanity, the Starfarer, invokes a plan to seed terrestrial life throughout the galaxy. Campaign takes place around the middle of that timeline and explores the life of a key figure in that universe, Jordan Astros. And explores one of four great nations thriving in the Solar System during that time. A Meritocracy that spans Jupiter and its 79 moons, The Galilean Powers. What you'll find in Campaign: Brutal melee combat in airless and pressurized low gravity environments. A technology based progression system influenced by merit and accomplishments; using tech that's theoretically possible to exist in the near-future. An exploratory perspective of the dozens of Galilean societies, or 'Powers,' from Jordans; and sometimes others', POV. What you wont find: Romance. Harems. An MC who receives shortcuts, handouts, learns things unnaturally fast or has OP plot armor. Jordan is not a special individual. Jordan is not OP and he likely never will be. He's no different than any other citizen in the Galilean Powers and will certainly face as many defeats as he does wins. He'll suffer losses and grow as an individual, while the Powers evolves around him as well. This is semi-hard sci-fi/NanoPunk and takes place in a fictional version of our future solar system. Centered around technology that's plausible in the near-centuries to come. Everything abides by the laws of physics/thermodynamics (As best that I understand them, at least. I'm no scientist.) No artificial gravity, inertial dampeners, teleportation, FTL, or hand-wavy materials will be found in the Project Starfarer universe. Just advanced automation, nanotechnology, cybernetics and AI. Set in the backdrop of space. *I do not own the photo used for the cover*
