Ragdaz's body was dripped in a cold sweat and warm blood, his body bleeding from his monstrously muscular arms, legs, and biceps, and his furious face resonated within the rage and ferocity of a beast.
"RAAAAAAAAAA!"
Like a mad beast, he roared, his roar was not for show, though, as many of the bear-kin warriors at his side roared with fury and ferocity, their mortality growing stronger as they heard their strongest warrior leading the way through this living hell.
"RAAAA!"
"GAAAAOOOOO!"
"GUUUUOOOO!"
"RRROOOAARRR!"
The bear-kin roared, both men and women who were capable of fighting were called to the front lines, while the rest, such as the weaker and the younglings began to escape from a cave section within the area where their tribe had settled down for the last week.
The bear-kin were not simply fighting wild monsters or animals such as Demon Boars, which they were able to obliterate with their claws alone, but they were fighting an incessant horde of unliving beings with limitless stamina and a fervent thirst for blood.
"Keep fighting! Berserk Mode! Increased Speed! Enhanced Endurance! Consecutive Slashing Claws! GAAAAAAOOOOOO!"
Ragdaz roared like a wild bear, his entire body drenched in blood and sweat began to glow on a crimson light all around. Reciting the names of his Skills and techniques, his strength doubled in an instant, his eyes glowed in complete crimson as his wild instincts began to kick in more and more, like a heated beast on the brink of death!
His body is then covered by a faint green and brown light, as they quickly glow and then disappear, enhancing his Speed and Endurance, as he leaps like a monstrous beast, baring his enormous bear paws and slashing with his giant claws over the armored skeletons in front of him!
"Oooooooo! Die!"
"For… the lord!"
"Gaaahhh! Become one with us-"
CLASH! SLASH! CRASH!
The armored skeleton knights armed with dark-colored weapons enhanced with the strange magic move towards Ragdaz, cursing him while trying to tell him to join their cause… within death, of course.
Their armors, however, are quickly slashed into pieces as their skeleton bodies are torn apart, 'dying' instantly.
"RRRAAAAAAAAA!!!"
Ragdaz uncontrollably leaps over dozens of skeletons as his strength begins to skyrocket each time he receives wounds and grows angrier, this was the power of the Skill 'Berserk Mode', a Unique Skill that some of the Bear-kin were able to develop, which enhanced all of their Stats while they were drenched in their own blood, wounds, and were filled with rage and bestiality.
The Bear-kin who possessed this Skill had their bodies glow on a bright crimson red aura, becoming monstrous berserkers that began to destroy the skeletons by the dozens.

The graves behind the undead began to produce more and more undead, however, Ragdaz leaped with great speed and strength, reaching a group of graves, and breaking them down into debris with a single swipe of his enormous bear paw!
CRASH!
The summoning suddenly stops, as the Undead stop appears near the graves, that now lay into pieces of stone. Ragdaz roars once again, notifying his comrades that there is hope within this hell, the enormous army of Undead stop appearing in such numbers for a few minutes, as the Bear-kin don't spare any time, rushing in by their four legs while slashing, crushing, and biting on the undead, that seem to begin to stand no chance against the ferocious beast-kin.
However, as Ragdaz roars and destroys his enemies, his body begins to ache as he starts to sense the side effect of Berserk Mode, his body does not respond to him anymore, barely being able to run around while crushing whatever was in front of him, his bones begin to crack, and his muscles tighten as if they were about to burst. His heart rate, which was incredibly accelerated suddenly plummets, as his mind becomes dizzy due to the lack of oxygen pumped through the blood into his body.
"Hahhh… Haaahhh… No… No! I must… I must fight for my people!" roared Ragdaz, as he activated yet another Skill that he had been forging his entire life. Even without the ability to change Jobs due to not possessing any Job-Changing Crystal, the Bear-kin possessed such immense physical prowess that they could easily train it to the point of being comparable to those who had trained through Job Changing.
One of the old bear-kin man's strongest skill finally kicks in, giving him a new breather of power, as he feels his entire body aching and paining uncontrollably, yet it keeps going and going, with a flow of strength that is simply surpassing the limits of common sense.
"Surpass Limits!!!" roared Ragdaz, activating the power Surpass Limits Skill, a Skill that, just as its name implied, helped the user surpass their limits by exchanging Mana and Health Points…
FLASH!
Ragdaz's enormous body flashed in an even darker crimson light, his body bulges as he resembles a furious titanic bear, glancing at the armies of Undead who had begun to once again spawn constantly as if there was no end to this living hell, Ragdaz begins to wipe them out like vermin with his bare claws, which were already drenched in rivers of his own blood.
"ROOOOOOAAARRR!"
Ragdaz roars, signaling his come back as his companions roar as well in unison, he leaps and fights back, destroying the wicked orders of unliving beings who had dared to come to Ragdaz's tribe to take them away to be used as sacrifices for their insane Master.

"YOU MONSTERS! I WON'T SPARE ANY!" roared Ragdaz, clashing against a Giant Skeleton Knight, a Rank 6 Undead Monster wielding heavy armor and a giant double-bladed ax.
"GUUUOOON!" groaned the Undead, as its skull's eye sockets flash with blue-colored flames, its entire body begins to exude an Aura of Fear and Death, yet Ragdaz seems unfazed by the necrotic knight's power, roaring like the wildest of beasts in the world, he leaps furiously into the skeleton's head, crushing it into pieces while beginning to tear apart into pieces its shield, receiving the skeleton's axe into his back while completely ignoring the sharp and piercing pain.
The giant falls, as Ragdaz does not stop for a single second, leaping towards its next target, the graves, as he begins to smash them into debris one after another.
"More… I need to… Fight more! The graves! DESTROY THE GRAVES!" roared Ragdaz, his entire body flashing with an even darker crimson light, his eyes begin to release rivers of blood as he gnashes his teeth, his heart begins pumping as if it were to burst at any moment, his muscles, which are already slashed and mushed tighten and bulge, his bones barely resisting the cracks within.
He was in his last moments, he was willing to fight to the death for his people, without giving for an instant. If he had to overuse Surpass Limits and break himself into pieces, he will fight even if broken apart into pieces.
"I have to… FIGHT!" roared Ragdaz, even the Undead stopped their movements for a second, glancing at the admirable fighter before them, within their hollow eyes, fear blossoms as their wicked and cursed souls shiver.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Ragdaz roars once again, his entire body was constantly being torn apart and holding itself together by his sheer willpower and the amount of Stamina and Mana he had amassed through devouring the bones of the Undead and with the use of Digestion, acquiring Mana through such activities.
Like a furious beast, he leaps once again, breaking through the dirt and stones on his way and breaking apart the graves one after another, the bear-kin at his side admires his bravery and prowess, while doing the same for their tribe and their beloved ones.
And within the backlines of the Undead, a group of young bear-kin glance the spectacle. Their bodies are covered in dark hoods as their faces are masked with pieces of bones and skulls painted with blood.
"This is not as we expected, they're stronger than before? How?!" asked a young man, while hitting the ground with its stave.
"It is your damned father, Azra! That stupid old man with his ridiculous strength! If we could kill him, the others would quickly lose hope and fall into despair without a leader to increase their morale!" said another young man, pointing his claws at Azra, the smallest of their group but the most talented.
"The damned graveyards are being broken apart one after another, do you think we have infinite Mana or something? Consuming Dead Spirits will get us as far before our souls begin to feel the aftereffects!" said a third, a girl, as she roars at Azra as if he were at fault over their own weakness.
"Stop barking at me, you bastards. My father is a foolish idiot, I will go take care of him personally, stay back and keep spawning graveyards," said Azra, the smallest of their group as he was embraced in blue flames and flew towards the frontlines.
Ragdaz was drenched in blood and sweat, but his power and bravery were unmatched, he clawed his way into the armies of Undead by the dozens, breaking into debris the graveyards while hastily devouring the bones of the skeleton, cracking noises sounded as he swallowed the sharp bones through his esophagus, his Mana slowly refiled as he ferociously battled.
However, his body was only being maintained by Surpass Limits alone, the very moment that he lost focus in the fight, he would break apart… to never be capable of moving his body again. And death was the only thing that awaited him afterward.
"I have to… Fight! For everyone… Gaius… Azra… I am sorry… I was such a foolish Father… I wish… I could see you two before passing on…!" thought Ragdaz while gnashing his teeth and pulverizing the Undead in front of him.
"Long time no see, father, how have you been doing?"
Suddenly, a voice resonated within the army of Undead, a remarkably familiar voice to Ragdaz, startling the old Bear-kin for a split of a second.
"T-That voice… Azra?!" groaned Ragdaz, as he barely got himself together.
"The very one! I've come to harvest your worthless life, old man," laughed Azra, appearing within the crowd of Undead as his entire body exuded phantasmagoric blue flames.

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.
