After a refreshing and surprising weekend, Xie Eun went into the office fully recharged. The only difference that could be seen was that instead of the high heeled torture devices, she was wearing comfortable flats. Since the couple had spent the weekend together, they had however not realized that there was now news circulating about them. When the lost heir to one of the most powerful family turns up suddenly with an even more precious identity, it is next to impossible to hide such explosive news. Many female employees wanted to approach her and question on how she handled such a person when another piece of news broke out, about how her husband waited for her in the office basement every evening. Suddenly, Lu Enterprises was going to have lots of hard working employees who would be working over time!

But at present, Xie Eun was unaware of all this as she walked towards the office, seemingly unaware of the gazes that were fixed on her. It was only after they had entered the private elevator did she turn to Cheng Mo and ask,"Assistant Cheng? Is there something that I am unaware of? Why was everyone staring at me?"

Cheng Mo cleared his throat and presented his tablet to the CEO, "Mam, this is the reason why you are being stared at.."

As Xie Eun read, an amused smile graced her face. It seems these people were really good! They had at the very least found fifty percent facts! And what they had not, they had used creativity to the highest. Sensing his chance, Cheng Mo decided to seize it to satisfy his curiosity, "Madam? Is it really true like the rumors are going that Sir married you without seeing you?"

Cheng Mo of course knew that this was not totally true. Because his boss had known his wife and if he was bold enough he would even say that the Beast had been in love with this beauty when they married. So there was only one question that he had been unable to find an answer to, "How and when did the boss and Miss Xie meet for the first time!"

Xie Eun gave a sly smile and mimed as if she was zipping her mouth much to the resentment of Cheng Mo who had repeatedly tried to get this information from both parties! Cheng Mo glared at the back of the Boss Missus (his name for the boss' wife) and sighed repeatedly following behind. Soon the morning had passed in a blur and it was almost lunch time when the receptionist frantically called up, "Assistant Cheng! A lady is here! She is insisting on meeting the CEO even though she has no appointment! And she insists that she is the CEO's husband's childhood friend and Madam will not refuse her. Her name is Nora Xu."

Xie Eun, who was about to leave for lunch, since she had promised Yu Seok that she would not be skipping any meals, frowned as she heard the name. Honestly, with all the excitement from that night, Xie Eun had not remembered this person but once Cheng Mo mentioned that she was a childhood friend, she suddenly had the recollection of that strange woman hugging her husband! Her eyes narrowing from, she agreed and soon said," Assistant Cheng Mo, we will be having our lunch here itself. Please make the arrangements after escorting Miss Xu here. "

As Cheng Mo went to welcome Nora Xu, Xie Eun wondered at the purpose of this woman. Somehow, with her instincts carefully honed by Yu Seok, she instinctually knew that this person had ulterior motives in approaching her. The question was what?

Xie Eun welcomed Nora Xu with a careful smile and gestured for her to take a seat. Nora, too was polite and immediately after sitting she asked about Xie Eun's health. " We missed out chance to talk to each other that night and I realized that I really had been remiss. I hope you do not mind, Miss Xie.", Nora said sweetly.

"Mrs Yu.", Xie Eun corrected her at once. She normally did not use his surname but somehow, with this woman she felt hardpressed to somehow remind her that her husband belonged to her alone! She could only be the Mrs Yu in front of this woman. This interruption almost made Nora falter but she immediately composed herself and corrected her self,"Mrs Yu, then! I hope you are fine now! I believed that you would take a few days to rest and recover! But you must be really diligent to come back to work so soon. So, do you have time to spare for new friends? I am relatively new here and thought that instead of trying to make new friends, I would rather get in touch with old ones! I hope you are not offended that I visited you so suddenly. Actually, it was impulse. I was out shopping when I realized that I had not given you a first meeting gift. So I brought this for you."

With that she placed a small box on the table. Xie Eun looked at the box and then again at the person in front of her, "Miss Nora, while I appreciate your kindness, I will have to decline this gift. We are not yet friends and though you may consider my husband your childhood friend, the fact remains that he has no such memories. So for now, please take my advice and make new friends instead of reminiscing over the past."

Nora felt as if her face was going to burst from anger! This woman was too much and did not even accept a token of kindness! What an arrogant human! And then she suggests that she should make friends elsewhere! What audacity! She needed to be brought down a peg or two and Nora was just the person to do it. With a thin smile, Nora got up from her chair and said, "MISS Xie, I was just trying to be friendly. But it seems you were not worthy of it. Let me remind you, by refusing my hand of friendship, you have also closed the doors to many inter personal connections. How long do you think you can survive in this cut throat business world without the protection of your husband's name? Remember, men are fickle creatures. Today, he is with you and tomorrow he may be with me.. what will you do then?" With that, Nora walked out of the office with a straight back and her head held high.

Xie Eun finally gave a smile. She had succeeded in getting the answer to her questions from Nora Xu! So she wanted to snatch my husband, eh? Let her try! She would make sure that Nora knew her place soon. Xie Eun looked at her stomach and pointed threateningly, "Little bean, come soon and then you must help mama in protecting your father!
