Secret Marriage:The Wolf And The Sheep Chapter 32

Mrs He was extremely curious about this..She recognized the tone of bitterness from the girl's voice and wondered if she had been hurt by something her boyfriend had done and felt hurt so she decided not to wear his gift..But Mrs He also felt a bit of disapproval for the girl..a goft was given with love so even if the lovers had a tiff, the feelings behind the gift should be respected...Mrs He, however did not show any of this on her face and nodded her head in agreement. She had learned her lesson the last time she had opened her mouth to give her opinion and offended a powerful figure.
The two people walked out of the room, and once again Mrs He was amazed at the gracefulness of this young girl..
(Yu Seok:She really does know how to be graceful..I wonder if I should be offended or complimented that she is so clumsy around me!)
After a knock on another door, Xie Eun stood back and waited.Mrs He saw another older lady open the door and after giving her a nod, the woman turned to Miss Xie and said,"The stylist is gone..but Eun-a, the model is almost in tears.."
Xie Eun fisted her hands at the side and slowly walked in followed by Mrs He who was now even more curious..and almost threw up when she saw the make up....
Without remembering to control her expression,Mrs He squeaked out,"What is this?"
While the dress itself had been beautiful and the model also, the make up was terrible..Instead of a natural or slightly bold makeup that should have been used to accentuate the features of the wearer, the make up was rather gothic and clumsy. The face of the model had been turned to a paler color and her eyes highlighted with thick black eyeliner..while the blush...It made the poor model look like clown..The professional Mrs He was unable to take this in and almost itched to bring out her makeup remover and wipe thebperson clean..

Xie Eun kept staring at the model expressionlessly as she absorbed the truth..so Si Jing had wanted her to look like this...How sweet he had been when he asked her to let the stylist do his work and dress her up..He had forgotten that sheay be from the countryside but she was a photography student...She had a decent sense if aesthetics.
Xie Eun turned to Mrs He and said softly,"Mrs He, I hope you don't mind redoing this person's make up.She has a shoot soon and it seems the stylist earlier was not good enough"
Snorting,Mrs He whk had come to her own conclusion, nodded and remarked,"Yes..This girl is pretty and thebstylist has turned her into a ghost! Not good enough?I would call them incompetent and tasteless!"
The model and Mrs He were guided out to amother room by Aunt Su while Xie Eun stared ahead vacantly. She wondered whatnwould have happened to her pride and dignity if her eyes had not been forcefully opened last week..
Aunt Su came back into the room and saw the look in her girl's eyes. She went to her and placed a light hand on her shoulders.
Xie Eun turned to look at her and she could see that the child wanted to cry but was holding her tears in..She wanted to reassure her but knew that a few kind words would make Xie Eun break down..So she simply said,"Eun-a,now you know the truth behind everything. You can choose to go or not go."
Xie Eun looked at Aunt Su with determination in her eyes,"No Aunt Su,I want to see this to the bitter end.Thank you for making all the preparations."
Aunt Su gave a shake of her head and said,"You know in your heart that all these preparations and plans are not my ability.Euna, you can keep your head buried in sand no longer. You came to me with the intention of finding your husband for a divorce.Youbhave seen for yourself that there is no reasom for you to divorce. The rest is in your hands. Take this."

Aunt Su pressed the card into Xie Eun's hand. This card was the one that Xie Eun had thrown away in a fit of anger after her father passed away..Xie Eun looked down at the card and silently acknowledged what Aunt Su said.
After tonight, another obstacle awaited her.She had to talk to her husband..and work on getting a divorcr..this time not for Si Jing and her so called relationship but for herself..She wanted to distance herself and runaway from here. She wanted no reminders of her past foolish self. The reason her father had forced them to marry would. I longer be required after tonight so she her husband could let go of her comfortable without guilt towards her father..
Quietly, she put the card in her beaded purse and walked walked out, ready to attend the ball.

The Tower Trials
"The Towers have stood for centuries. They offer riches and power in equal measure to those that are brave, strong, and lucky enough to overcome their Trials. Isaac has arrived in time for the annual Novice Trial where young men and women aged 16 through 18 are set to enter the Tower for their first time. Novice Trials are a rite of passage, and though one is not required to take it, one cannot develop their Mana System without it. However, the trials are deadly, and there are always some that go in, but never come out. Regardless of the danger, Novice Trials are required for entry into any of the four grand academies. Those that survive the trials are able to gain experience and level-up as they ascend the different floors of the Towers." The Tower Trials is my first attempt at writing. Reviews and constructive criticism are highly encouraged and appreciated!

Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
