Secret Marriage:The Wolf And The Sheep Chapter 11

Cheng Mo was about to knock on the door when it suddenly opened and he took a step back in fright. Because standing before him was his bkss who was wearing the mask that he had bought. The man paused for a moment, uttered,"Follow me." and then walked ahead swiftly. But Cheng Mo stood frozen in shock.
And he had reasons to be shocked!
First, his boss was wearing the 'mask'!Naturally Cheng Mo had assumed that the boss had kept the mask to teach him a lesson but that seemed to not be the case.
Secondly, and even more shocking was the fact that his boss was saying goodbye to someone in that shockingly gentle tone! The fact that there was someone in that room was alarming enough let alone saying soft words to said person!
To say he was curious would be an understatement. His mind flashed back to last night when the boss had come in with his shirt torn. When he had not given any explanation(As if he ever had), Cheng Mo had consoled himself that his boss must have had a rare moment if clumsiness but now his mind was conjuring up some wild images. Unable to stop himself, Cheng Mo's hand moved towards the door's handle so that he could peep inside but before he could do that, Wolf had already turned back and was starting at him freezingly.
Pulling his hand back as if scalded, Cheng Mo hurried his steps and went to where his boss was standing. It was very disconcerting to see his boss with that mask, making him blurt out,"Sir, are we going to be going like that?"
Only after Cheng Mo's question did Wolf realise that he was still wearing the disgusting mask.Taking it off in a swoop, Wolf almost threw the thing into the nearby trash can before stopping and then handing it to Cheng Mo, "keep it for me."

Cheng Mo accepted the mask and the two men walked out. But Cheng Mo's mind was once again working at the speed of light for he as sure now that he had entered a parallel universe. He surreptitiously pinched himself in case he was having weird dreams but his eyes had seen another unbelievable thing.
His jewellery hating boss had a ring on his finger!Or more accurately a wedding band! As far as he knew, the boss had only come here to meet General Xie who was his mentor. Had the boss married the General?
If Wolf had known his assistant's wild thoughts he would have definitely given the man an evil glare. Cheng Mo thanked the fates that his boss was not really a mind reader. But then Wolf said something that almost made him fall over his feet,"Cheng, stop thinking so loudly and you are not dreaming so stop pinching yourself."
Nodding as if he had springs in his neck, Cheng Mo focused his mind and followed his boss. But Wolf was intent on shocking him it seemed for instead of exciting the hotel, Wolf turned towards the small florist boutique tucked in the corner of the lobby.
This time Cheng Mo tried to justify his action that maybe the boss wanted to go into florist business. He imagined their company logo which was the side profile of a Wolf with open jaws clamping a rose flower in the mouth and almost burst out laughing. To control himself, he looked around and then finally called out,"Boss!I'll and bring the car around."
Wold nodded curtly as he went inside to browse the flowers.
A little while later, Wolf sat in the back of his limited edition Maybach while Cheng Mo drove towards the city. But instead of concentrating on the road Cheng Mo was more interested in his boss. He wondered if his real boss had been taken by aliens...Because his boss was really weird!Or rather more weird than usual. Though the man's ice cold expression was the same, somehow Cheng No though he detected a hint of a smile on the man's face. Cheng No was pretty sure he was hallucinating maybe because he had been inside that room too long.

Finally, unable to bear Cheng Mo's starting, Wolf snapped,"Just ask whatever you want to know."
The question ready on the tip of his tongue, Cheng Mo blurted,"Did you buy the flowers?Which ones? And for whom?"
Hearing the rapid-fire questions, Wolf looked up from his work at the man, his face an intriguing but scary veneer. If anyone else had dared to ask him that question they would have bee dead but not Cheng Mo. Assistant Cheng Mo was Wolf's most trusted and loyal assistant. Over the last three years Wolf had come to consider Cheng Mo his friend and confidante so Wolf decided to explain himself. Anyways he would need Cheng Mo to protect Xie Eun in the future.
"Yes I bought the flowers. A bouquet of Blue daisys and violet iris'. And I bought them for my wife!"
"Screeeeeeechhhh!" The car jerked to a sudden halt in the middle of the road. Thankfully they were on a backroad which was largely deserted so there was no accident.
Wolf who was thrown forward cursed while Cheng Mo jumped out of the car and sat down on the road cross legged.
He was worried that he had finally lost his mind! What else could make the boss say something like that!
