My Fierce Tigress Wife Chapter 139

His aggression could only last him for a short while. It was definitely incomparable to absolute power.
After a few minutes, Xiong Zong's body was covered with blood. His chest heaved as he panted, and his strong body was tumbling, about to fall.
A few more minutes longer, Wang Shan grew impatient. He launched a critical attack and pinned his opponent to the ground, and his mouth was ready to bite its neck. Fortunately, he didn't really bite down.
Upon seeing that, the golden flash in Wang Hu's hand diminished, and he remained calm; at least Wang Shan knew his limits.
It was clear from the attack who the winner was in this fight.
The top four were Wang Liang, Wang Shan, Jun Wen, and Ling Shuang.
Up to this point, it had been similar to what Wang Hu imagined. Now, he was truly vested in the tournament.
Three out of these four were tigers, and the remaining one was a panther.
They shared similar species aptitude. To determine who the winner would be, their progress in the Transformation Realm was the most important factor, followed by their experience in battles.
Apart from Old Second who lagged slightly behind in his progress, the other three were not much different.
Even Wang Hu was uncertain who was stronger out of these three.
Old Third appeared to be biggest in physical size and progressed the furthest in the Transformation Realm, but no one could be sure about the results until the last minute.
Hence, Wang Hu's interest was piqued.
He wanted to see who out of these four could surprise him.
He glanced at Su Ling, and she walked to the front to draw lots to decide the pair of opponents.
Wang Liang and the other three turned serious; even the reckless Wang Shan and the frosty Ling Shuang looked on with a serious expression.
They had come to the last match where the positions as team leader of the guard team and the hunting team were waiting for them. None of them wanted to back away.
"Next, Wang Shan versus Jun Wen."
Su Ling's voice was heard. Wang Shan immediately turned excited, and he stared intently at Jun Wen, as though he was looking at a delicious prey.
His blood pumped even faster, and his aura turned powerful.
With a leap, he arrived at the center of the stage, and his eyes remained fixed on Jun Wen.
"Fight well and give him a lesson. Don't make a sound."
Suddenly, Wang Shan heard a familiar sound by his ears. He was shocked—it was Sister-in-law.
He could not help but turn around to look and saw that Sister-in-law was looking at him. He immediately lowered his head and nodded solemnly to show that he understood.
Even if Sister-in-law had not instructed, he would also make use of this opportunity to give this Jun Wen a good lesson.
His gaze turned towards Jun Wen again, feeling even more displeased. Not only did this guy offend Old Second and himself, but he even offended Sister-in-law.
This Jun Wen really deserved to be beaten.
Jun Wen remained calm, and he walked slowly up the arena with his eyes fixed on Wang Shan as well.
Although he looked down on this tiger who did not have a brain, he could not ignore Wang Shan's combat power.
Roar~!
"Jun Wen, come."
Wang Shan roared and pounced at him.
Jun Wen narrowed his eyes and charged forward.
Both of them were tigers and had the same species aptitude; neither of them had an advantage over one another in terms of differences in species.

They had similar physical size, so any extra techniques were useless; fighting head-on was the only option.
Roar~!
The low guttural roar blasted continuously in the quadrangle. The two giant tigers fought an even more aggressive fight than Wang Liang and Jun Yong's battle.
Wang Shan was 5.9 meters, and Jun Wen was 5.8 meters; they only differed by 10 centimeters.
By looking at their physical appearance, a 10-centimeter gap was very small. None of them also had a particular edge over the other in terms of strength or speed.
Smack, bite, pounce, dodge, and other fighting skills were presented in front of the beasts.
Some of them imagined themselves in the same situation and felt their hair stand on end.
They knew they would have no chance of winning at all; only death awaited.
They fought with all their might, and their Blood Qi pumped heavily through their bodies. In less than two minutes, traces of mist were suddenly seen rising from the two tigers' bodies.
Their heavy breathing formed and appeared as smoke in the air.
Both the tigers looked extremely cold at each other, and not a trace of warmth could be detected.
In the coldness, there were traces of thirst for blood; they were dying to tear each other into pieces.
If one described the fight as a matter of life and death, it would not be an exaggeration.
Wang Hu and Di Baijun watched silently; even the two little fellows were particularly quiet. They looked on nervously, their eyes unblinking and their little hands clenched tightly together.
Soon, the fight had gone on for more than 10 minutes. The mist around their bodies thickened, and their breathing was labored.
Both of them had long gashes along their bodies, and blood trickled down from their fur to the ground.
Obviously, both the tigers could not be concerned about such small issues currently. Their eyes stared at each other without blinking. They separated for a short few seconds and paused for a moment before Wang Shan pounced at his opponent again.
Next, Jun Wen began to fall into a subtle disadvantage.
Wang Hu and Di Baijun noticed it immediately. Di Baijun breathed a small sigh of relief seeing that. She spoke with some satisfaction, "Old Third won."
Wang Hu did not respond. If the situation continued, the winner would probably be Old Third.
After all, even though the 10-centimeter difference in height might not be that much different, it was still an advantage.
Old Third and Jun Wen were both very experienced in fighting.
In particular, before the awakening of spiritual energy, Old Third was already 10 years old, which made him an old tiger with lots of battle experience.
After he reached the Transformation Realm, his lifespan was extended by many years, and he regained his peak physique.
On top of that, he had followed Wang Hu the longest and received the most benefits and pointers regarding the use of Blood Qi.
His combat power was really quite good. The only thing he lacked now was that he had not awakened a bloodline.
His potential appears to be less than Old Second and Jun Wen, but his talent in cultivation was pretty good. It was still uncertain what the outcome would be.
Jun Wen was also at his prime before the awakening of spiritual energy. Even if he might have less fighting experience than Old Third, the difference would not be huge.
His talent at cultivation was on par with Old Third's. He even awakened a bloodline when breaking through the Transformation Realm.
So far, apart from Ling Shuang, probably none of the beasts could outdo him in terms of talent in cultivation.

Wang Hu wanted to see if Jun Wen, who appeared to be losing, could surprise him in the end.
After three minutes, Jun Wen started backing away, and even the beasts could see that he was at a disadvantage now.
Wang Shan growled and launched an even more ferocious attack. His attacking stance turned more and more ruthless.
Jun Wen's eyes turned cold, and he tried his best to dodge. Deep in his eyes, traces of hesitation flashed by.
After two seconds, he dismissed the hesitation.
I can't. I'm only at the Transformation Realm now. Using it will only cause damage to my body and expose my trump card; I don't stand to benefit at all.
Never mind, I shall let this foolish tiger win this time.
Next time… hmph.
Roar~!
After making up his mind, Jun Wen fought back madly.
After another round of intense fighting and blood gushing, the outcome finally became clearer.
Wang Shan strengthened his upper hand, and his claw smacked heavily on Jun Wen's head.
It lasted for a few more minutes, and it finally came to an end. Jun Wen was drenched in blood and drained of energy.
Wang Shan was also full of injuries, but his eyes were filled with excitement.
It was because he won, and he gave Jun Wen a heavy beating. He only felt refreshed and extremely content.
Di Baijun also appeared pleased.
Wang Hu used his divine power to stabilize their injuries, and he looked a few more times at Jun Wen.
Eventually, he had not brought Wang Hu any surprises.
The last match started.
Wang Liang was up against Ling Shuang.
One was five meters tall, and the other was 5.6 meters tall.
Without a doubt, it was a significant gap.
Ling Shuang's talent in cultivation was unimaginable.
She had only joined for two months, and her height already increased by 65 centimeters. It was even faster than Wang Hu back then.
Although the circumstances were different, such as the density of spiritual energy and the food…
It was undeniable that Wang Hu thought this frosty female panther was now the subordinate with the best talent in cultivation and who cultivated the fastest.
He had expected her and Jun Wen to bring him surprises.
The battle lasted about six minutes from the start till the end.
As predicted, from the very beginning, Wang Liang was restrained by Ling Shuang, and he even collapsed to the ground in the end from the attacks.
The fight ended.
Both of them did not suffer from many injuries, though Wang Liang had a few gushes.
Wang Hu looked suspiciously at Old Second. Did this rascal know that he wouldn't win so he lost so readily?
If that was the case, then it was time to give him a beating.
He put aside those thoughts. Facing the gazes of the beasts who looked over, Wang Hu handed Big Treasure and Little Treasure over to Silly Girl and spoke with a dominant and unassailable tone.
"The outcome has been decided. From now on, Ling Shuang is the team leader of the guard team. In addition, there is a new law enforcement team to supervise and enforce the rules and regulations of Tiger King's Cave; Wang Shan shall be the leader."
Ling Shuang listened and remained expressionless; meanwhile, Wang Shan—who was originally exhilarated—was taken aback.
Law enforcement team?
What is that?
He wanted to ask but found the timing to be inappropriate, so he mused over it by himself.
"Jun Wen remains as the leader of the hunting team. Wang Liang will be the assistant leader."
Wang Hu added, and Jun Wen and Wang Liang's gaze shifted.
"Now, everyone, go and recuperate."
Wang Hu waved his hand and turned around to walk into the Tiger King's Cave with Silly Girl.
Roar~!
"Understood."
The beasts quickly complied, still making sense of the information they just heard.
Ling Shuang left without saying a word.
Wang Liang and Jun Wen looked at each other and quickly turned their heads away. They had their own separate thoughts.
Wang Shan could not hold it in anymore and chased after Wang Hu into the Tiger King's Cave.
Inside the cave…
Roar~!
"Big Brother, Sister-in-law."
Wang Shan greeted politely.
Wang Hu gave Silly Girl a look to tell her to bring the two little fellows back to the room first.
Di Baijun nodded to Wang Shan and turned to walk away.
Instantly, Wang Shan felt more at ease, and he quickly asked.
Roar~!
"Big Brother, what is the law enforcement team?"
Wang Hu said coolly, "If you don't know, you can ask your Second Brother."
Wang Shan did not mind, and he continued to ask expectantly.
Roar~!
"Big Brother, then, who else is in the law enforcement team other than me?"
Wang Hu smiled and answered, "Apart from you, there is no one else now."
Wang Shan was stunned with disbelief.
Roar~!
"Just me? Then, how does that make me a leader?"
"Is there a problem?" Wang Hu asked calmly.
Wang Shan wanted to roar out loud, but he saw the expression on his Big Brother's face. He immediately resisted the urge. He lowered his voice and said.
Roar~!
"Big Brother, then can you change? I can be the hunting team leader… or the guard team leader."
"No," Wang Hu said without hesitation. Just as Old Third was about to speak, he continued to say, "When you finally prepare a proposal regarding the hunting team or the guard team by yourself and submit it to me, then we can talk about changing. Now, if you have nothing else, go and recuperate."
Roar~!
"Big Brother, I don't want to be the law enforcement team leader."
Wang Shan roared indignantly.
"You don't want it?" Wang Hu narrowed his eyes and said coolly.
Wang Shan immediately felt his whole body aching. His gaze turned weak, and the defiance he felt just now disappeared in an instance. He quickly lowered his head.
Roar~!
"I do."
"Good. Go back and consult your Second Brother. The law enforcement team is very important. If you don't do a good job, no matter how doting I am to you, I won't go easy on you." Wang Hu's tone softened, and he turned around to enter the cave after finishing his sentence.
Wang Shan glared at his back. Doting on me?
All you know is to beat me.
He grumbled to himself and immediately thought about something else.
Was the law enforcement team really so important?
Then, that's not bad. Even though I'm the only one now, I can just wait for more Transformation Realms to join us before asking Big Brother again.
I don't believe that I'll always be the only one.
Yeah, I'll go and ask Old Second.
As he thought to himself, he ignored his injuries and went to look for Wang Liang excitedly.
When Wang Hu returned to the room, the two little fellows were watching cartoons.
Di Baijun looked displeased, and she said, "Why did you make Old Third the law enforcement leader? Why make Jun Wen the hunting team leader and Old Second the assistant leader?"
"Old Third is simple-minded and is incapable of doing complicated things. We have to establish the law enforcement team sooner or later.
"Now that we still have a small number of people, we can make Old Third the leader.
"As for Jun Wen becoming the leader and Old Second the assistant leader… Jun Wen is stronger than Old Second; everyone can see that," Wang Hu said calmly.
Di Baijun tilted her head slightly. She could not find a reason to rebut and could only put aside her displeasure.
Even though she knew that she was not supposed to do this, she just couldn't see eye to eye with that Jun Wen.
Wang Hu did not mind that Silly Girl was affected by her emotions because he knew that it was only on the surface.
Silly Girl was only just grumbling to him. She was still the Silly Girl who had the best interests of tiger species in mind; she had entrusted the matters in his hand and trusted him a lot, especially after confirming their relationship.
It was because she now had an outlet to show her temper and turned a little willful; it was nothing serious at all.
After the end of the tournament, for the next ten days, most beasts spent their time recuperating.
Afterward, everything resumed normal, and they continued with their peaceful lives.
In the blink of an eye, three months passed by.
On this day, Wang Liang received a call, and he went to look for Wang Hu.
"Hello, Your Excellency, I am the Leader of Russia. I am delighted to speak to you," a hearty voice said on the other side of the phone.

The Voice of the World
Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class. Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday. Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late. The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like. While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all. Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged. Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on) (it did, eventually), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality. Update Time currently varies, due to personal injury, but the goal is 1/week on Wednesdays, with a possible smaller chapter on weekends if time/health permits.
