My Fierce Tigress Wife Chapter 51

Icy-cold killing intent welled up in Wang Hu, and he developed a real sense of killing intent toward the grotesque monster for the very first time.
There was no other reason for it except pure dislike toward it.
This feeling was even more intense in Di Baijun standing beside him. Judging from the look in her eyes—had the other party been here, she would probably have already straight-up attacked and killed it.
Back at Hu County Elementary School—
The monster naturally wasn't aware of how much wrath it had incurred; neither would it care even if it was.
It looked leisurely toward the children—originally running madly out of the school—now running madly into the school instead, as well as some parents who were there to pick up their children.
Its fang-filled mouth curled up at the sides, revealing an exceedingly grotesque and terrifying smile. It flapped its wings, intending to fly into the school.
Bang!
Bullets rained upon the monster's enormous body as a torrent of gunshots suddenly rang out before subsequently bouncing off it as though they had struck iron instead.
However, be it the surrounding onlookers watching in shock and fear or the millions of people currently watching through livestreams, all of them heaved a huge sigh of relief—the police was finally here!
Now that they were here, everything would be fine!
Bang!
Gunshots rang out without pause. The squad of over thirty policemen—who had burst through the chaotic crowds to arrive ahead of the others—all wore alarmed and fearful looks on their faces; nevertheless, they gritted their teeth and fired away as if they were venting their frustrations.
Sparks flickered constantly at their firearm—mostly handguns with a handful of assault rifles—muzzles.
The monster about to fly into the school twisted its head toward them. A brutal aura emanated from it, and then with a flap of its wings, its massive body charged into the air with a deafening boom as if it were a train.
"Get out of the way! Get out of the way!"
A police officer hastily shouted as he ran fearfully toward the sides.
The other policemen also did the same, but they were simply too slow in comparison to the monster.
It didn't even need to do anything at all. With its fearsome speed and massive body, nothing could block its way at all when it charged over.
"Ahhh!"
The screams and wailing in the distance, as well as those watching the livestreams, fell silent once more.
Amid a crowd of people in the distance, two men—one in civilian clothing and one in uniform—trembled as they watched with livid expressions on their countenances.
The middle-aged man dressed in civilian clothing took a light breath and said as he gritted his teeth, "Get people to harass it from afar. Do not fight it head-on. Attract that bastard's attention. We mustn't let it enter the school. It's best if we can lure it into the outskirts."
The uniformed man's expression froze, and his voice shook as he said, "But the people in charge of luring it…"
The middle-aged man in civilian clothing gritted his teeth. His eyes were bloodshot, and his hands shook as he gave a low shout. "This must be done no matter what… and at any cost."
"Understood!" The uniformed man bellowed hoarsely as his eyes turned red, too.
"Li Kuan, Wang Ning, Zhang Ruoxu. Bring your men with you and split up into the surroundings. Attract that bastard's attention bit by bit and lure it into the outskirts!"

"Understood!"
Slightly trembling but firm and resolute voices rang out. Soon, more and more policemen that had hurried over split up into the surroundings. Additionally, a long line formed by people also extended straight toward the city outskirts.
Bang!
Gunshots rang out without pause. While they came from varying proximities, all of them came from the same direction.
The monster didn't bother dodging the bullets at all. Instead, it turned and glared savagely at the direction where the gunshots were coming from and charged over.
The two policemen firing at it right at the front immediately started to drive in the direction of the outskirts, but the car was crushed, and their bodies were turned into a bloody pulp in a matter of seconds.
The gunshots, however, didn't stop at all. They continued to come from the same direction except further ahead.
Roar~!
The monster let out a somewhat furious roar and charged over.
"Expedite the opening of a route from another direction and evacuate the children," ordered the man in civilian clothing right away.
"Yes, sir. We're already on it," replied someone from the back immediately.
"Ahhh!"
Gunshots continued to ring out over a distance of close to 1,000 meters over the next two short minutes.
There were no longer any comments online. Instead, it was again dead silence and the sound of innumerable people sobbing.
Dong Pingtao, Chen Jianguo, as well as the military troops on the way over all watched intently and hopefully.
Another 1,000 meters later, the monster—who was now utterly outraged—roared into the sky.
The next moment, however, it actually stopped its pursuit and turned and flew toward the school instead.
Bam!
Chen Jianguo slammed his palm against the desk.
Dong Pingtao's eyes narrowed.
In the military vehicles currently heading over, even grimmer and even more somber looks immediately came over the faces of the few military officers who had been watching the highest-definition live broadcast via satellite.
"This is bad. That bastard may have sensed something. It's very intelligent so it'll probably be very difficult for us to lure it out again," said a middle-aged military officer as he gritted his teeth.
The few other people beside him all nodded. However, not a single one of them blamed the policemen for it even if their failure meant that things would become even more difficult for them later on.
"We must be prepared for the worst. The artillery might is too powerful if we open war in the school. We can't use them if we want to keep that bastard away from the children. The only thing we can use is humans," said the middle-aged military officer solemnly.
The others understood what he meant—only by attacking that bastard with people would they be able to hold its attention while also ensuring that they kept it away from the children at the same time, thereby keeping the children out of harm's way.
As they thought about it, the few pairs of eyes looked at the same person all at the same time.
The person looked to be in his thirties and boasted a tall, sturdy physique and a resolute, steadfast look on his face.
"Chen Yong, do you think you can do it?" asked the middle-aged military officer solemnly.
He was the only Second Realm expert among the 1,000-odd soldiers heading there this time.
Chen Yong stood straight and saluted before he replied without any hesitation, "I am ready anytime."

"Good." Without saying much else, the middle-aged military officer said, "Press them and ask them whether they've figured out that bastard's weakness or not. To what extent has its defenses exactly reached? It's the best if we can kill it in one hit."
"Understood!"
All of a sudden, the atmosphere in the vehicle died down into silence as the few pairs of eyes glowered at the screen.
That bastard… that bastard…
"Waaaah! Daddy! Mommy! I want my Mommy!"
"Waaah! Mommy! Mommy!"
…
The monster continued to wreak havoc amidst all the young children's crying.
As for the bullets being fired desperately at him, it straight-up ignored all of them.
The originally terrified policemen also seemed to have regained much better control of themselves. With bloodshot eyes, they constantly fired as they pursued it all the way into the school.
In the distance, the middle-aged man in civilian clothing bellowed furiously, "Speed things up! Create a few more openings so that the children can split up."
"Understood!"
He turned and glared at the man dressed in the Chinese police uniform and bellowed, "I don't care how you do it. Go and attract that bastard's attention and buy some time! Do you understand?!"
"Yes, sir!" The uniformed man shouted a response and ran straight toward the monster. As he ran, he hollered, "Listen the f*ck up! Charge over with the cars and goddamn lure it out!"
"Yes, sir!" Numerous responses rang out.
The revving of car engines rang out, and they went crashing straight toward the monster.
"I'm coming, dammit!"
One of the policemen driving bellowed hysterically as he slammed down on the gas pedal.
Upon sensing it, the monster moved its leg lightly.
Bang!
The car flew out more than a hundred meters into the distance and turned into a ball of fire.
All of a sudden, it seemed like all the other driving policemen's fear had left them, leaving behind only a sense of insanity that had utterly infected them.
Cars went charging over to the monster one after another.
Bang!
Three of the cars were destroyed in succession. The monster let out a furious roar, and then its gaze shifted to the back of a teaching building where a large number of students were currently rushing out of the destroyed fence.
Paying no heed whatsoever to the policemen desperately throwing their lives away, it flapped its wings and flew over.
As innumerable people watched on in despair, it reached in the span of a breath and blocked the hole, knocking away the adults as it did so.
Students ran and fled in all directions amid all the screaming and crying.
It was as if everything had returned to what it had been just now.
In the distance, the middle-aged man in civilian clothing stumbled unsteadily, the aura around him filled with despair.
Chen Jianguo clenched his fists and gritted his teeth as he asked, "Should we cut off the livestream?"
"Now that things have reached such a pass, there's no longer any need to. We might as well follow it through all the way to the end and completely trigger the people's courage and sense of responsibility to do what's right," replied Dong Pingtao without any hesitation. It seemed like he had been thinking about this since just now, and one could sense a strong-willed and unyielding spirit in his expressionless countenance.
Unable to make any response, Chen Jianguo could only nod silently.
Angry rants, fear, and shock continued in front of screens connected to the Internet, as well as among the people hiding in the surroundings and secretly watching.
In front of the cell phone, Di Baijun initially hadn't shown any reaction, but upon seeing the monster enjoying 'delicacies' again, her eyes turned dark and cold and brimmed with killing intent.
Roar~!
"Mommy, the human babies are s-so pitiful!" said Little Treasure timidly as she wept.
After she hid behind her mother, she had secretly started to watch the livestream again.
Beside her, Big Treasure was also in a similar state.
Roar~!
"Alright, stop watching."
Di Baijun moved her paw and blocked the two little fellows' lines of sight again.
Then, she spoke with obvious anger.
Roar~!
"A bunch of useless trash. They can't even protect the children."
Wang Hu didn't reply. His heart was also filled with icy coldness. That bastard must die.
After gnashing her teeth for a while, Di Baijun suddenly spoke again haughtily and domineeringly.
Roar~!
"Look after Big Treasure and Little Treasure. I'll go and slaughter that ugly thing."
Then, she made Big Treasure and Little Treasure go over to Wang Hu.
Her actions gave Wang Hu a shock.
Roar~!
After a moment's thought, he asked her in a somewhat unusual tone, "No, what are you thinking, Baijun? These affairs are the humans'. It's none of our business."
Di Baijun glared at Wang Hu and gave a domineering reply.
Roar~!
"I don't care about the humans' affairs, but how dare that ugly thing behave so impudently at my doorstep. And how dare it disgust me and let its presence be such an eyesore to me. I naturally have to kill it."
Wang Hu was stunned by her reply. Alright, this was very in line with Silly Girl's nature.
Wanting to kill it because she found it disgusting and an eyesore was indeed something that Silly Girl would do. However, he couldn't let her go over, of course.
As he cast a glance at Big Treasure and Little Treasure out of his peripheral vision, he sighed vaguely somewhat inwardly, and then his voice turned serious.
Roar~!
"Baijun, even if we disregard the fact that there might not be just one monster, China's military troops are definitely reaching soon. They can resolve this by themselves. Besides, it'll be too late even if you head there now."
His words seemed to be directed at Di Baijun… yet also seemingly at himself at the same time.
Di Baijun frowned and thought about it. It seemed like that was indeed the case, but nevertheless, she still gave him a cold and haughty reply.
Roar~!
"Hmph, so what even if there's more than one? I can get rid of them all the same."
Wang Hu nodded as if he agreed with her.
Suddenly, something seemed to occur to Di Baijun, and she glared at Wang Hu in displeasure.
Roar~!
"Don't you find it an eyesore and disgusting, too? Don't you want to kill that ugly thing, too?"
