Ceo Unrivaled Chapter 115

The victory party was officially presented by Toni's announcement. The man displayed great professionalism in introducing all the present personalities inside the hall. He was also witty during the introductory speeches that made everyone laugh and get a comfortable mood to start the party.
By then, Sofia and the Chronos squad was done picking their food and was about to get back to their table. There were only three waiters situated in assessing them at the food area.
The man introduced Greg and the Chronos squad first before he proceeded to the flow of his program.
Blinding flashes from cameras of different media were all around the hall. However, these press companies did not approach the Chronos squad's table yet. Since the group was still eating, they patiently waited for them to finish before they take statements from them.
"I thought that the FDS will be the only press tonight! Thank goodness, there are other invited media companies!" Jing Jing commented. Her hands were busy peeling the shell of the shrimp but she constantly looked around to search for familiar figures. However, there was no one that she could distinguish around.
"I remember earlier in the gym, before our championship match, that arrogant man was bragging for their exclusive contract between the organizers," Sofia responded and also scanned the place to check if she could see the man.
"They may have faced their karma by now," Jing Jing stated with a mused expression on her face.
Truth be told, Drake was summoned by his father to go to their home office early that night. The man was planning on having a date with the staff of his company but when he received a call from his father, he had no choice but to cancel all his reservations.
When Drake stepped foot on the home office of his father, he was greeted by a flying ashtray that was thrown by the old man. Ashes had flung in the air that made him cover his face.
Unfortunately, his reflexes at that time were very bad that the object whacked directly on his forehead before it dropped on the floor.
"Ahh! Father, that hurts! Why did you throw this ashtray at me!" he immediately complained and while his face winced in pain.
"You useless son! The company had received a direct complaint from the company that is behind the online tournament today! They were complaining about your misdemeanor and they are asking for compensation!" the old man bellowed in anger. The veins in the side of his temple were evident of how furious he was after he read the content of the complaint.

"Father, those organizers of the tournament had signed an exclusive contract with our company! But, they did not oblige their participants to be interviewed by us! That was too unfair!" Drake instantly expressed his grievance.
He hoped to get his father's sympathy however when he looked up, he just saw the old man's face turned even darker.
"You are at the right age to know better yet you choose to be this useless! All you do is complain and make troubles for our company!" the old grumbled and then grabbed a cup of tea on his table. Without any warning, he threw the teacup towards his son.
"Father, I don't know why you are angry at me! It is me that was being wronged by the organizers of that online tournament! If they had obliged their participants to be interviewed by us, then our ratings would remain at the top!" Drake pleaded. His voice was full of confidence that his father would understand his situation after he explained the incident to him.
"You still don't get it! Ahh!!! Why did I have such an incompetent son! I have told you so many times about the contract signing. But you still not applied the important lessons that I had imparted to you!" the old man's expression turned into a murderous aura. Then, he took a seat and released a long frustrated sigh.
"Father, I have applied all the lessons in my training. I secured the contract right away. I even made sure that the highest position of the organizers in the event would sign the documents personally!" Drake stated.
"You have rushed yourself and did not read the content of the contract!" the old man sighed once more. Then his face looked as if he had aged for another decade.
"Why would I read the documents written! I already know that it is an exclusive contract. So, I did not bother to read it!" Drake admitted. He was too complacent about knowing what the contract was exclusive. This made him believe that he would get all the privileges of getting such a great contract.
"Hmmph! This is why I never passed my position yet to you Drake. It pained me to see that the only heir of my company would also be the one responsible for our destruction," his father made a face palm and then shook his head in disappointment.

Hearing these words from his father, Drake's temper boiled in an instant. He clenched his palm into a fist and gritted his teeth. He had been asking his father for the past three years to give the CEO position to him. However, the old man was still unwilling.
Drake thought that his old man may have some ultimatum for him to hand over the CEO position. But when he confronted him about it, the old man only told him that he was not yet ready. And that he needed to learn the ways of doing business.
"Father, why do you vent your anger at me!? You always scold me and told me that I am useless! I have secured the contract already. Yet, just a simple complaint from those bastards made you furious about how I acted in front of them!" Drake talked back giving the man a challenging gaze. For a moment, he had completely forgotten that this man was his father.
"Securing a contract is one thing. But securing the right content of the contract was the most crucial thing! Now, you act like you know everything! Your behavior was an embarrassment! Make sure you apologize to the gaming company!" the old man demanded. He even gives emphasis to the words 'right content' for his son to realized his mistakes.
Too bad for Drake's father, his son was consumed with anger at that point that he was only focused on his father's word demanding him to make an apology. He completely missed the real issue that his old man wanted him to realize.
"Father. I will not go to those organizers and apologize! I refuse to also give an apology statement to them! It was the organizers who had wronged me! They were the ones who did not meet up with the contract!" Drake insisted. The knuckles of his hand had turned white as he clenched his palm tighter.
The old man closed his eyes for a long time. He gathered all the bit of his patience and mentally reminded himself that the man in front of him was his son.
If it was just another man, he would never waste his time arguing. But since this man was the future heir of his company, he had to be more tolerant until the man learned to do proper business.
When the old man opened his eyes again, his expression had become calmer.
"Drake, come and have a sit. Check this document for me," the old man handed him a white folder containing the files of their contract. It would seem that his son can only understand his lesson if he would spoon-feed the matters to him.
Drake took the folder and sat on the opposite chair. He then flipped the documents one by one.
Silence descended upon them as Drake continued to read the files. The old man also busied himself to check the company email.
In his inbox, there was the one message that he stared at for a while. It was from Mr. Greg Washington.
This was the exact complaint that was sent to them. Greg was not berating or humiliating their ways in the company. He was simply giving a suggestion that the company should give extra training regarding emotional control and self-discipline.
Greg also listed all the inappropriate behavior that Drake acted in inside the gym.
Although it was a public place since they have asked permission to hold their tournament on that venue, other companies must disrespect the staff of the company.
"Have you finished?" the old man asked when his son became focused in his mobile phone.
"I have skimmed all the content! This is the exact contract that we have signed," Drake stated proudly.
"Now, tell me at what clause in the contract obliged all the participants to be interviewed by our company?" the old man questioned.
"Father, even if it is not here in the content of the file, they should require participants to be interviewed by our company! That is the meaning of an exclusive contract!" Drake easily told his father. Up until now, he had no clue about it all!
