I Am Not A Mage Lord Chapter 33

He watched as the mysterious silver-white dragon transformed into countless huge light balls and floated into the sky like a dream.
However, Lin Qi, who had obtained the dragon egg, was more worried about whether his luck would hold up.
He had already lucked out so many times!
First, he conjured the "memory palace" in his mind during the college entrance examinations.
Not only could it automatically access the memories of this entire life, but it possessed the remarkable moulding material from "Minecraft".
From "memory" to "creation".
In the future, it would be "computational" for the CPU microprocessor.
Second, he had obtained a Bone Robe that could summon untameable undead creatures two days ago.
What was even more unbelievable was that the ghost of a mysterious necromancer, which was hidden inside the robe, had also reached a "contract" with him and would secretly teach him forbidden necromancy in the future.
The mages were suppressed by the School Enrollment Pledge and could not teach magic in private in the outside world.
However, on Star World Island, Lin Qi and the necromancer ghost could secretly break the restrictions of the pledge.
Third, his move to "summon a magic pet" had actually resulted in the legendary "dragon"!
The other party even used a strange test to bestow a "dragon egg incarnation" to him.
The key point was that the dragon egg incarnation wasn't a real object. It was lying quietly in his spacious and bright memory palace.
The dragon egg was so huge that Lin Qi couldn't see its top even if he raised his head. Its shell was silvery white, interweaving with dazzling silver light spots. Its body exuded a deep and heavy immortal aura, as if it was the incarnation of time.
After obtaining the dragon egg incarnate, even the "Dragon Knight's" initial joy could not hide his pensive expression.
The first thing the dragon said was that it knew that Lin Qi was about to say the simplified version of the Theory of Special Relativity, so it resolutely stopped him.
But then he used the explanation derived from "popular science", something that the masses could understand better.
Why didn't the other party know about this beforehand, and stop him from speaking?
It was as if the entire process was based on a script.
Lin Qi could not resist shaking the Bone Robe on his body. The ghost inside still pretended to be dead and did not come out to reveal its secrets to him.

After careful deliberation, the mysterious silver-white dragon's actions seemed more like a deliberate act?
But was he in such high demand?
Suddenly, Lin Qi recalled the mysterious dragon's last words. Activating this "dragon egg" required constant use of dragon language.
This was not the low-consumption "spell casting", but the high-consumption "magic pet summoning" that even mages would forget.
In other words, it had to be nourished by an endless expenditure of the Sisma language in his memories.
From this perspective, it was a mage-sacrificing "magic knowledge".
Combined with the fact that it was not easy for mages to memorize the "Sisma language", perhaps the only way to nourish this mysterious dragon egg was if the Association of Mages used up all its mages as resources, with no regard for the price paid.
Lin Qi, who had the memory palace and special materials inside that could create symbols, was probably the only "poop-scooper" in the world who was suitable to nurture this dragon egg incarnation.
After realizing his own value, Lin Qi felt a bit more at ease.
He wasn't worried about being used by a "dragon". What would be worrying was being "bestowed" with a gift for no apparent reason. He wouldn't be able to afford the hidden price.
For example, the price he paid to the ghost in the robe was to fish him out when he became a legendary sorcerer and witnessed the Door of Truth. It did not matter if it was real or fake. No matter how bad it was, it was just a slow poison at worst.
Mages should always think long-term. Lin Qi, who was slowly becoming stronger, could also endure loneliness.
Just as Lin Qi was thinking this, the guiding light in front of him changed direction and was about to lead him away from this place.
Lin Qi quietly nodded before turning back.
Suddenly, the world began to spin and everything began to get distorted.
Dazed, Lin Qi's vision was covered by a boundless darkness.
The next moment.
When he opened his eyes again, the forest of magic pets surrounded by the barrier fence stood before him. The towering oaks lined the ground, the bright red warning familiar like before.
So formidable? Teleporting him out of the forest of magic pets?
"Lin Qi, you're so fast?"
Suddenly, Mo Feng's familiar voice came from behind.

Lin Qi frowned slightly. He had been walking inside for quite some time. It was not considered fast.
Moreover, wasn't Mage Mo Feng curious about the various light waves inside?
Lin Qi turned around, his face suddenly feeling a little numb. He silently pulled up the "Today's Memory" from the shelves of the memory palace.
One frame at a time, until it fell into darkness—
As far as the eye could see, in the forest, surrounded by thick fog, all the scenes seemed to twist in the void. Leaves floated back to the sky in the opposite direction, the sparkling light by the lake retracted in the opposite direction, and the trajectory of the magic pet starlight reversed.
Everything in the world had gone back in time?
Lin Qi flipped through the memories back before he entered the forest!
The three differently-dressed mages at the back, from their expressions to their positions, looked exactly the same as now!
Lin Qi took out his hand phone, which could only be used to tell the time now. He glanced at it
He suppressed the shock in his heart and raised his head to ask, "Is this another test?"
Mo Feng smiled. "Listen to the notification yourself."
The next moment, the guiding light glowed.
"This place is the forest of magic pets. The spell will last…"
Everything was exactly the same as when he first entered the forest of magic pets.
This was the "period of time" that the mysterious silver-white dragon had given him earlier!
"Hey, hey, don't be silly," Mo Feng whispered.
Lin Qi quickly waved his hand. "I used my computational ability to forcibly solve the test."
Following that, he went through the formalities with Mo Feng and entered the forest again.
It was only when Lin Qi's figure disappeared into the thick fog of the forest of magic pets that Mo Feng felt puzzled. He muttered, "Why did this kid seem to be able to complete my every sentence? Strange."
As he spoke, he looked at the team members behind him. "Hey, hey, don't you guys get the feeling that the forest will dazzle with light later?"
"I feel like I have experienced this all before."
The mage apprentices at the back said helplessly, "Mage Mo Feng, this might be the side effects of your super memory. You feel like everything has happened before. Quickly come and hide, lest those apprentices ask too many questions."
Mo Feng looked back at the forest of magic pets with a blank expression, but there was only calmness there.
There were no lights.
As for Lin Qi, who was walking into the thick fog abyss of the forest of magic pets, he was also very calm.
No matter what happened now, the dragon egg incarnation was still lying quietly in his memory palace.
He could only pray silently in his heart.
If there really was a God of Mages in the sky, please bless him.
This time, he would choose an ordinary pet.

Star World Island, Central Magic Academy, Tower of Time.
Crystal Wall Defense Array, Surveillance Center.
Mages were rare even in the big cities of Planet Blue, but there were no less than a hundred of them here.
It was already very extravagant to equip a large number of mage apprentices with complicated alchemical equipment and magic equipment, let alone all mages!
Although these mages had varying abilities, together as a team, they remained a terrifying force that could destroy cities and countries.
But now, these mages, who were supposed at their own work stations monitoring the whole Planet Blue for any attacks, all stood up in confusion.
"What just happened?"
"I don't know. All alarms sounded. I thought the Abyss was invading."
"But why did all the alarms suddenly stop again?"
If it weren't for the fact that records of the earlier alarm was still clearly visible on the central screen, they would have thought that they were too tired and or their eyes had gone wrong.
At this moment, the ninth-level mage in charge of this place, walked in and consoled his subordinates.
"There's no need to worry. It was just a disturbance in the timeline just now. The worldline is still fine and the future is not affected. Everyone, please continue to observe and protect Planet Blue."

Viceroy's Pride
This story could be about the Tellask Empire, ruler of a thousand suns and faced with imminent peril at the hands of the Orakh hordes. It could be about Paltai Amberell, the scion of a noble elven House, fallen upon hard times and seeking to find the key that will restore his family's name and save the Empire itself. It could be the story of his voidship, The Viceroy's Pride, powered by magic and crewed by a team of crack marines as they search for adventure and the solution to the Empire's myriad problems. Instead, this is the story of Daniel Thrush, human electrical engineer, befuddled researcher and survivor of the debacle that was first contact with a spacefaring civilization. Due to a combination of luck, magic, hard work, and more luck he is thrust into the center of events as Earth is shoved onto a much larger stage rife with semi-immortal elves and magical kingdoms that predate the Earthly invention of agriculture. Earth is outnumbered, and we have precisely one wizard. Dan. He's not very good at it, but he's going to have to learn in a hurry or watch everything he knows get torn apart by massive spacefaring empires straight from the pages of a fantasy novel. ---------- Some readers have noted that the MC tends to be weak willed and pushed around a bit. A significant portion of the story is his character growth into not being a pushover (i.e. him being passive is in the early chapters on purpose). I'm just including this caveat/warning to make sure that readers aren't surprised/upset and that they stick with it until he learns to stand up for himself. His arc begins to crystallize around chapters 25-27. If that's too long to wait, I get it, I'm just trying to do my due diligence and warn you that the character development is a bit of a slow burn. This is NOT a harem novel. Nothing against them, just not what it is. --------- Updates Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday Feel free to bother me on our discord- Discord!
