In his homeworld, Celestial Thearch Myriad Star stood on a tall mountain as he observed the outside world through the world membrane.
Perfected Lord Crimson Peace can’t crack the protective law, nor can he kill me as long as I hide in my homeworld. Celestial Thearch Myriad Star pondered. The time of an Eighth Tribulation Eminence is much more precious than my time. It’s impossible for him to keep watching me. When Perfected Lord Crimson Peace leaves, I can send an outer realm true body out to attack again. Unfortunately… this time, the Life Core fell into Perfected Lord Crimson Peace’s hands with the death of my outer realm true body.
The treasures he obtained from ordering the Seventh Tribulation forbidden creature to devour an inhabited world were naturally moved to his homeworld as soon as possible. Apart from some treasures and weapons, his outer realm true body only carried one Seventh Tribulation Life Core.
Although his heart ached for the Life Core, Celestial Thearch Myriad Star could bear such losses.
Oh? Celestial Thearch Myriad Star’s expression changed slightly. What is Perfected Lord Crimson Peace doing?
Through the world membrane, he could see Perfected Lord Crimson Peace scattering streams of light around this world. Celestial Thearch Myriad Star could tell that Perfected Lord Crimson Peace was setting up a fixed array!
He could only watch helplessly, not daring to leave.
Moments later…
The massive array formation circulated and naturally condensed chains that appeared over the world membrane as though they were part of it. Nearly 10,000 chains completely sealed the entire inhabited world, isolating it from the outside world.
Celestial Thearch Myriad Star could no longer see through the world membrane, nor could he sense the outside world. He was even isolated from Nebula Palace.
I can’t sense the outside world. Celestial Thearch Myriad Star was somewhat flustered. He took a step and appeared at the highest point in the world. He looked up at the membrane wall above him and stared at the huge chain that appeared. He observed the profundities contained in the chain.
I can’t sense the outside world even though I have grasped the spacetime law? Celestial Thearch Myriad Star was somewhat anxious. He knew that high-level worlds had similar array formations that completely isolated them from the outside world. Unless one was at the Eighth Tribulation realm, they wouldn’t be able to find such high-level worlds.

However, he also knew that such array formations cost a lot! Therefore, Eighth Tribulation Eminences typically only set up one for their homeworld.
How was it possible for such a large array to be set up just to imprison him?
Buzz—
The vast array formation activated, and the aura of power that spread out was very familiar to Celestial Thearch Myriad Star.
“White Avian, are you presiding over the array?” shouted Celestial Thearch Myriad Star.
The sealing array was in operation, but Hall Lord White Avian ignored him.
“I can guess it even if you don’t say it.” Celestial Thearch Myriad Star’s voice transmitted into the array formation. “An array formation that completely isolates spacetime is very rare. However, the strongest among the deities in high-level worlds are only at the Sixth Tribulation realm, and at best, the Seventh Tribulation realm. They are unable to power such an array formation perfectly. It’s because the array formation absorbs external powers that it can naturally operate for extended periods.
“This array isn’t operating naturally. It’s controlled by a half-step Eighth Tribulation Eminence like you. That’s how Perfected Lord Crimson Peace could set up the array formation in a short period of time. However, you are a half-step Eighth Tribulation Eminence. Are you going to continue wasting your time with me?
“You are also at the Physical Body Tribulation realm. You only have one outer realm true body. If you waste your time here with me, you will be destroying more than half of your cultivation future,” said Celestial Thearch Myriad Star immediately. “Is it worth it?”
“It’s worth it!” A calm voice sounded.
When Celestial Thearch Myriad Star heard Hall Lord White Avian’s response, he immediately said, “I know that you paid a huge price to invite Perfected Lord Crimson Peace this time. Tell me, what are your conditions before you are willing to let me out!? We can have a good discussion and come up with a condition that will satisfy you. This way, you won’t delay your cultivation.”
“Perfected Lord said that he had given you one last chance, but you gave it up. Now, stay in your homeworld and never come out,” said Hall Lord White Avian coldly.
Celestial Thearch Myriad Star was taken aback as he immediately said, “White Avian, are you crazy?”
Hall Lord White Avian ignored him.
“You are destroying your future in cultivation. I can swear that I won’t attack your homeworld. I can even swear that I will only devour three more inhabited worlds. When the time comes, I can give you three billion cubes…” Celestial Thearch Myriad Star constantly lowered his requests.

…
Hall Lord White Avian shook his head slightly when he heard Celestial Thearch Myriad Star’s conditions. “At this point, you still haven’t given up on devouring inhabited worlds. You live up to your reputation as Myriad Star.”
After fighting for so many years, he had long known Myriad Star’s personality. Therefore, he was willing to pay the price to suppress him. If he gave him free rein, for example, Celestial Thearch Myriad Star’s madness would only exponentially worsen after tens of thousands of years—when he was nearing the end of his life.
Now, devouring these inhabited worlds was the result of Myriad Star restraining himself.
Standing in the void, Hall Lord White Avian looked around. Perfected Lord Crimson Peace had already left, leaving him alone.
I have to guard this place forever. Hall Lord White Avian waved his hand, and a cultivation cave abode appeared in the void. Furthermore, the surrounding void was completely concealed.
…
An hour later, Meng Chuan, Realm Ancestor, Lord of Shadowfiend, Deputy Hall Lord Blazing Sun, and Deputy Hall Lord Azure Dragon came to Celestial Thearch Myriad Star’s homeworld.
Celestial Thearch Myriad Star’s homeworld has disappeared? Meng Chuan and Realm Ancestor gathered together and looked around in surprise. The void rippled in the distance, and a cave abode appeared. Hall Lord White Avian—dressed in a gray robe—was waiting for them in front of the cave abode.
“Hall Lord.” Meng Chuan, Realm Ancestor, Lord of Shadowfiend, and company came close.
“What happened? Where’s Celestial Thearch Myriad Star’s homeworld?” asked Lord of Shadowfiend.
“I can’t sense Celestial Thearch Myriad Star either. Is he dead?” Realm Ancestor’s eyes were filled with anticipation. It would be great if he was dead.
“No.”
Hall Lord White Avian led Meng Chuan and company into the cave abode and sat down in the courtyard. Although there were delicacies and wine in front of them, Meng Chuan and company weren’t in the mood to drink. They wanted to know why Celestial Thearch Myriad Star had disappeared.
“I invited an Eighth Tribulation Eminence, Perfected Lord Crimson Peace, to kill Myriad Star.” Hall Lord White Avian sat there. Knowing their puzzlement, he leisurely said, “However, behind Celestial Thearch Myriad Star is actually Black Fiend Ancestor. Black Fiend Ancestor gave him a life-preservation method… Even Perfected Lord Crimson Peace was affected by Black Fiend Ancestor’s array formation. He couldn’t crack the world membrane and kill Myriad Star’s true body inside his homeworld.”
“Perfected Lord Crimson Peace? Black Fiend Ancestor?” Meng Chuan and company were somewhat shocked. Two Eighth Tribulation Eminences were involved.
Hall Lord White Avian waved his hand. Meng Chuan and company looked past the courtyard and saw a massive inhabited world appear in the outside world. Nearly 10,000 chains wrapped around the inhabited world.
“Myriad Star’s homeworld is here,” said Hall Lord White Avian. “Perfected Lord Crimson Peace set up an array formation and completely sealed off this inhabited world. Celestial Thearch Myriad Star will forever be trapped in his homeworld, unable to take a step out.”
“Unable to step out forever?” Realm Ancestor revealed a look of delight when he heard that. “He won’t be able to wreak havoc in the outside world. If he can’t come out, his future in cultivation will mostly be destroyed.”
Realm Ancestor was rather satisfied that things had developed to this stage. After all, how could a half-step Eighth Tribulation Eminence be easy to kill?
“This array formation can trap a half-step Eighth Tribulation Eminence?” Azure Dragon was alarmed. As the dragons’ current leader, he knew how difficult such an array formation was.
“This array formation can only be presided over by cultivators who have grasped the spacetime law,” explained Hall Lord White Avian. “Otherwise, it won’t be able to trap Myriad Star.”
Meng Chuan, Lord of Shadowfiend, Realm Ancestor, Azure Dragon, and Blazing Sun looked at Hall Lord White Avian in shock.
They understood.
Apart from Myriad Star, only Hall Lord White Avian grasped the spacetime law. In other words, Hall Lord White Avian needed to maintain the array formation and couldn’t take half a step away.
It affected his cultivation greatly.
“You will never be able to leave this place in the future?” Lord of Shadowfiend asked softly.
“How can there be no price for trapping Myriad Star?” said Hall Lord White Avian worriedly. “However, I’m already injured. I only have 50,000 to 60,000 years left. I can’t trap Myriad Star forever.”
“You’re injured?” Meng Chuan was alarmed. He had never known about this before.

Sarsaparilla's Scary Super Power. Completed
Sarsaparilla is an older teenage girl living on Mars. And, like many other young people around her, she has a super power. Or, rather, she is supposed to have a super power. Only she has never been able to activate it, she doesn’t even know what her super power is. This annoys her, tremendously. But she hides this behind a really sweet smile. Adalace is another teenage girl, also on Mars. She knows what her own super power is, and it is quite a good one. She is also really cute… so long has she keeps her feelings under control and doesn’t let out anything from her dark past. Teylon is a man, currently living on Earth. He likes to think of himself as still young, even if he is over fifty. He’s a bit smug about his successful career and is thinking of retiring… until a sadly unfortunate event leads him to the conclusion that he had better immigrate to Mars. Immediately. Apparently, meeting one’s own Angel of Death tends to cause people to make profound changes to their lives… Mars society had better brace itself, because once these three people, plus another three also not so quite stable individuals, collide with each other, the resulting explosion is not going to leave anyone on Mars unaffected. This is another Esmeralda, the Angel of Death, story. It follows on from my previous two such stories, but it is in no way dependent on the previous stories. They can be read in any order. It is fully written and proof read (using Word for Windows, no real editor touched this transcript) and comes to about 247,000 words (about 895 Royal Road pages). It is organized into 50 chapters and I will be publishing them roughly one per day. In my writing, there are multiple characters and multiple points of view. Each change in a point of view is introduced by a header, giving the viewpoint character’s name first, and possibly a title. Inside a Point of View section, dialog in italics represents the Point of View character’s thoughts, while dialog between quotes represent normal spoken dialog. This story is very much inspired by the anime A Certain Scientific Railgun. However I have only taken some elements from the anime, and changed everything I took to make my own story, and so it does not count as fanfiction. Yeah, I know, the book cover page isn’t very good. It’s the best I could do, by tracing over a stock image. The two ladies shown are supposed to be Adalace and Sarsaparilla. Ideally I would have liked there to be two images of this pair, one where they are smiling sweetly and looking cute, and one where they are looking really angry and dangerous. But that totally exceeds my graphics abilities. You will just have to imagine it.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!
