Chapter 645: Chapter 645 – Go After An Easy Prey
Chapter 645: Go After An Easy Prey
Rampaging Dragon and his party moved like tigers that came from a mountain while the torches from the pillar shone in the hall of Sky Demon Sect . They went through the Sky Demon Sect disciples without any fear, charging past them while blood poured everywhere .
Rampaging Dragon, Momo, Little North, and All-powerful Medicinal Stone were elites with fourth-echelon equipment . Each of them charged forward in one direction, and soon, they killed all the Sky Demon disciples in the hall and returned to three unfamiliar men with only normal attire .
“All done . ”
Rampaging Dragon and the other three brought out one Sky Demon Order each and walked toward the altar . “Pay attention to your formation and be prepared to activate the mechanism . ”
“Got it . ”
They exchanged a glance without batting an eyelid and walked to the altar at the same time .
Rampaging Dragon had just begun placing the Sky Demon Order when a thin and black sword shadow shot out from behind the four statues like a flash of lightning . It went straight at him .
Rampaging Dragon swiftly straightened his body . His relaxed motions turned swift, and he bent his knees . With a tap against the ground, he avoided the fatal strike at an astonishing speed .
Two people shot out from behind the altar and went before Momo and the others .
“Who are you?!”
Rampaging Dragon’s reaction and the assassin’s miss seemed to have exceeded the assassin’s expectations . Once he saw the calm and relaxed expression on Rampaging Dragon’s face, his heart sank slightly, but he said nothing .
“Attack!”
A loud shout that sounded like thunder came from the man who was the first to come out of the altar .
His sword momentum surged forth once more, and he no longer bothered to hide his own tracks and attacked at full force!
Once he moved out from behind the altar, Rampaging Dragon twisted his body, swung his staff, and delivered a fierce staff shadow . It destroyed his opponent’s sword momentum in an instant .
Their weapons intersected with each other, which created a shocking bang in the air, and the assassin who came out from behind the altar looked as if he had been struck by lightning . He opened his mouth and coughed up a mouthful of blood . Then, his body was sent flying like a kite with its string snapped .

At the same time, more than twenty black shadows suddenly appeared above Momo and the others!
They had cold and fierce looks in their eyes!
Each of them had a shiny and black metallic throwing knife in their hands, and when they heard their leader shout the order after he was hit by Rampaging Dragon, they crossed their arms and threw the knives .
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Countless metallic hidden weapons turned into thin and long black dots that went raining down on Momo, Rampaging Dragon, and the other five . All of them were within the range of attack .
However, most of the hidden weapons were headed toward the three cold and callous men whose equipment was clearly inferior . After all, the other four people had extraordinary equipment, and the damage of hidden weapons to them would be very minimal .
The three cold and callous men had their hands placed behind their backs and did not attack . When they saw countless hidden weapons charge toward them from all directions, one of them quirked his lips, and a contemptuous expression showed up on his face .
He then attacked with his palms repeatedly .
Cling cling, clang clang!
Quite a number of hidden weapons were sent flying away by the palm-generated gusts of wind while the rest landed on the ground around the three . It was incredibly dangerous but majestic . Yet, none of the knives managed to deal any damage to the trio .
Silence fell in the cave .
Little North saw this clearly from the side, and he sucked in a deep breath .
When they came, he had heard that the trio were Silver Wolf’s brothers . They had extraordinary skills, which was why he had not attempted to help them; he wanted to see their skills .
Upon seeing them, he instantly calmed down .
Their understanding toward hidden weapons and control over their power was clearly above his, and they did not lose to Silver Wolf . It was no wonder then why Happy would ask the trio to enter Sky Demon Secret Cave and feel no worry .
The group of ambushers jumped above their heads, and Little North shouted coldly, “Bastards who only know how to hide and cannot see light! Come out here!”
He formed his hands into claws, and circles of black and dangerous presence quickly formed on his arms, bringing with them a thick and disgusting stench that could make a person nauseous . He crossed his arms and tore at the assassins above his head .

Bang! Bang!
The sounds of objects falling to the ground rose one after another .
Two out of more than twenty assassins were sent flying away by Little North’s claw attacks . Momo calmly pointed at the air continuously and sent three others flying . All-powerful Medicinal Stone used his lightness skills to fly above the assassins and injure several people .
The remaining eight who crashed on the ground did so because of the other two people’s efforts .
One of them held a short weapon and another carried a broadsaber with him . They attacked very quickly, and no one managed to see their movements clearly .
“Not bad, I thought you were just a group of wanderers who ended up in here accidentally, I didn’t expect that you would have a few elites with you . ”
While holding his short saber in a reverse grip with both hands, Knife cackled and moved forward . He cast a glance at the few men in front of him . They were all people who had managed to survive one of his attacks, so they were slightly stronger .
The six people in front of him had slightly unpleasant expressions .
They were top-class elites who had come from abroad, and they were incredibly good when it came to assassination, especially when they had set up a fixed environment . Their teamwork when it came to assassination were escpecially great too .
They had come to Sky Demon Secret Cave because they wanted to become familiar with its environment and set up an incredibly thorough plan . They snuck in and hid themselves in spots that no one would notice, and when the group from Mu Clan lowered their guards to the lowest possible point, they attacked, but they did not expect that Rampaging Dragon, who was the weakest in the party, would successfully dodge their leader’s assassination .
The other six seemed to have come prepared as well, and when they faced the sudden and quick attack, they did not show any signs of panic!
During the first wave of attacks, most of the assassins were injured, while the seven people from Mu Clan were completely unharmed .
The situation exceeded their expectations!
“Run!”
Their plan was to ambush the Mu Clan elites and reduce their numbers . They were to kill at least four people before they used their environment to switch fighters . Then, they would use their advantage in numbers to slowly kill the more troublesome Momo, Little North, and All-powerful Medicinal Stone .
But the strength that the three unfamiliar Mu Clan members showed exceeded their expectations .
Not only did the trio’s strength not lose to that of Rampaging Dragon, they seemed to be stronger than him! Judging by their skills, they were not anyone mediocre . At the instant they attacked, they released a presence that was even more dangerous than that of Momo and Little North .
The instant they exchanged blows, the ambushers knew that they had failed in their mission!
Even though Happy, Silver Wolf, and Wind Chimes left the party, three new top-class elites had joined the party to Sky Demon Secret Cave .
Mu Clan was prepared!
Thud!
Thud!
A few smoke bombs shot out from the men in black’s hands .
Plumes of smoke spread out, but the seven people avoided them on the sides . At the same time, palm-generated gusts of wind surged forth and swiftly blew away the black smoke that obstructed eyes and ears .
However, the assassins seemed to have already left . Two clear holes were in the ground .
“You came all the way, and you’re still thinking of leaving?”
Little North laughed coldly . He formed his hands into claws, and a great, foul-smelling wind shot forward .
Bang!
The ground in front of him suddenly exploded .
Three holes appeared one after another and muffled cries of surprise came from the ground .
The people who were behind Little North focused on what he was doing with amusement .
Three zombie puppets blasted away the tunnels the assassins dug and caught them . A few others got trapped in the tunnel and could only watch with pale faces as Momo and the others pounced on them .
They were easy prey!

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
