Sword Among Us Chapter 436 – Six Prideful Chill Techniques
Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation
Little North might not be like Happy and have the best fourth-echelon Golden Armor Set, but his equipment was a speed-based equipment that Happy had customized for him. Once he pushed it to the third echelon, his movement and attack speed reached their peak, and Feng Zhi was absolutely not his opponent. Just as Little North mentioned, his great damage was useless if he could not touch his target. All his attacks were in vain.
The damage of Little North’s palm technique might not be great, but the corrosive properties of Bone-corroding Palm toward humans, the poisonous effect from Thousand Year Corpse King’s Right Arm, and his extremely great maneuverability allowed him to completely control the rhythm of the fight!
Feng Zhi’s attacks could not affect Little North in the slightest. Once his attack speed and movement speed were reduced by 20%, a feeling of weakness he had never felt before filled his body.
The damage caused by the ripping effect made Feng Zhi feel the threat of death. His HP was draining at an alarming speed!
Many parts of Feng Zhi’s body was torn, and he was angry as well as surprised. Even though he had a lot of HP and a Dew Pills keeping him alive, his wounds did not heal immediately.
Dew Pills also could not cure poison.
He was being forced to retreat repeatedly!
In his anger, he shouted, “Get lost!”
He swung his large sword, and a white layer of ice appeared on the blade. At the same time, the qi circulating around Feng Zhi’s body changed, and a bitterly cold power suddenly swept through the area. He flipped his wrist, and the big saber, which now looked like ice, went sweeping fiercely toward Little North and his zombie puppets.
Bang!
The chill within the saber force did not affect Little North’s zombie puppets, but the explosive charge did manage to send one of them flying away. Another one was also swiftly forced back by a mellow and full qi force.
“Freezing Force?”
Little North felt his heart tremble, and without a word, he quickly avoided the qi force.
He was not someone without general knowledge. When he saw the powerful and cold qi that rose from Feng Zhi, he immediately thought of Silver Wolf, who managed to freeze him with just a few moves. Once Silver Wolf’s Freezing Force reached Grandmaster Realm, he was quite strong, but the power of his Freezing Force was slightly inferior to that of Feng Zhi’s attack.

Little North knew that the attack was strong, so he moved back, and Feng Zhi finally managed to gain his footing.
However, that attack had clearly used up quite a lot of Feng Zhi’s qi. He panted softly and took three Dew Pills in one go.
When he looked up, he cast a deep glance at Little North.
“Freezing Force? This is Nip Fung’s [1] Six Prideful Chill Techniques. You… are the first person to force me to use my ultimate technique.” His wounds had yet to recover, and the poison had not disappeared either. Due to it, his voice turned a little hoarse.
“Six Prideful Chill Techniques? I see, so it’s an ultimate technique. I sure am honored to see it.”
Little North smiled, but he could also tell from Feng Zhi’s act of sitting down to rest that the technique just then should have used up a lot of his qi. Feng Zhi could not use it as casually as he pleased.
A thought appeared in Little North’s mind, and he pulled out the third zombie puppet that was buried in the ground. After being cultivated for some time, the third zombie puppet had also reached Life and Death Realm.
When Feng Zhi saw the third zombie, his expression turned even more unpleasant.
The zombie puppets’ physical bodies were so strong that they were practically at the level of martial artists at the peak of Life and Death Realm. He could not kill them quickly.
What made him even gloomier was that while the damage of Six Prideful Chill Techniques was shocking, he could do nothing toward opponents who were as smart and agile as Little North. Besides, puppets were not affected by the cold. If he continued fighting, the situation would not be good for him.
Just as he expected, Little North controlled the three zombie puppets to close in on him.
They took turns attacking and defending in a triangle formation. Feng Zhi could not shake them off or force them back, and he did not dare use his Six Prideful Chill Techniques easily either. Little North was right behind the zombies, always ready to attack him.
Little North was also wary.
Six Prideful Chill Techniques was definitely an area attack. Its damage was astonishing, which was why he did not dare to get too close and only launched sneak attacks when he was in a safe spot.
Their battle instantly fell into a stalemate due to that.
As they exchanged attacks back and forth, Feng Zhi was whittled down so much by Little North’s strategy of playing safe that he no longer had the energy to speak.

His HP was reduced continuously, and poison coursed through his body. Dew Pills could not keep up with the rate he spent his qi, and if he continued to drag out the time, it was clear that he would be the one who suffered.
Little North admired Feng Zhi quite a lot. If he had not managed to succeed in his ambush at the start and poison his enemy, he would not have been able to fight with so much ease. Feng Zhi was able to last for a long time even while he suffered from an abnormal condition. It was no wonder then why he was able to climb up to the seventeenth place on the Dragon Rank.
“I lost!” Feng Zhi shouted loudly. Once he admitted to his defeated, the battle ended.
Even though he was reluctant to admit defeat, the cooperation between the three zombie puppets presented him with too many problems. He was constantly in a situation where he was surrounded and suppressed. If he continued fighting like that, he would not come to the result he desired.
When the person before him readily admitted defeat, Little North did not continue to chase after him. He summoned his precious zombies back to his side and let out a deep breath. Controlling three zombie puppets at the same time required a lot of mental strength. He also had to be wary of his enemy’s killing technique at the same time, which was why Little North did not have an easy time.
“Wait.” When he saw that Little North was about to return to the headquarters with his zombie puppets, Feng Zhi called out to him from behind.
“You’re not done yet? You can’t even win against me with your strength, and you want to provoke our boss?” Little North turned around impatiently.
Feng Zhi’s face flushed red when he heard those words. He felt rather embarrassed, and he stuttered, “Brother Little North, you’re indeed very good, but I really want to fight against Happy. Is he really as good as you said?”
“Duh.” Little North crossed his arms over his chest as he felt even more impatient. “Say, why are you so stubborn? I’ll be honest with you. My boss taught me my skills and trained me. Yet you can’t even win against me, so why should you go to fight my boss? Do you really think that he has a lot of time and is very free? Go back and train. When you can win against me, my boss might actually come out and play with you.”
“Then, can we fight again tomorrow?” Feng Zhi’s eyes lit up.
Little North was instantly speechless.
He rolled his eyes.
“I can’t be bothered with dealing with you in the future.”
Once he said that, he turned around and returned to the headquarters. He did not want to waste his time on such a weird and stubborn person. He still had to train.
*****
When Feng Zhi and Little North’s battle ended, the players who watched by the side felt as if their view of the world had been expanded. They left the area while talking to each other.
“I didn’t expect that even Little North would be so powerful.”
“Yeah, Feng Zhi can be considered a popular person lately. He managed to reach the seventeenth place on the Dragon Rank and the second place on the Famous People Rank, but he did not even manage to kill Mu Clan’s Little North. Mu Clan seems to really have some powerful players.”
“Some? They have a lot now. They had Ancient Wind and Momo handling the challengers earlier, and now, we have Little North joining the mix. Even someone as powerful as Feng Zhi didn’t manage to kill him. Whew… If we add Happy and Thunderous Battle among them…
“At some point in time, Mu Clan gathered a group of top-tier players. Oh, there’s also One Circle and Silver Wolf. They already have a very stable position in the game.”
Blood Rivers in Nine Heavens was in the crowd. He had come over when he heard news about the fight. When he saw that Mu Clan had dealt with the challenger calmly once more, he could not help but feel relieved and sentimental.
With this sort of strength serving as the garrison in Baokang, the alliance of the five sects would be as steady and solid as a rock!
Even though Zhou Yu had joined Class One Hall, if they could not destroy Mu Clan in one go, they were bound to be engaged in a battle of numbers against the five sects, and they would end up with their entire army destroyed.
“I just wonder where Happy has been doing all this time.”
Quite a number of people suddenly remembered his name in the crowd.
He had vanished without a trace for more than half a month. Why had he not appeared even then?
“I heard that the people in Class One Hall are going mad right now. The higher ups do not dare to leave Beijing. “
Various rumors circulated in the streets.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
