Sword Among Us Chapter 76: Murder in the Forest
The great benefit of the entire set of Great Wolf Fur Equipment made the trio incredibly tempted. While they were enraged by the three stall owners' black hearts, they were also very excited. They felt as if they had just found a shortcut to get rich.
Even though one set of equipment would just earn them five thousand taels of silver crumbs, if they had a huge batch of Great Wolf Pelts, they would accumulate it day by day. They could get a lot of money within a short period of time, and it would be a great help for the development in the future!
However, Eastern Green Gate put on a thoughtful expression.
"That's not right. I heard that there aren't many Great Wolves in the depths of the forest around Cold Mountain Temple. And these Great Wolves aren't what normal players can handle."
"Yup," Happy answered with a nod. "Not only are the Great Wolves much larger than normal Wild Wolves, they're very strong. Their movement speed is astonishing, and they are brutal. They are basically at the level of players at the beginning stages of Blessed Realm. Even players in Gate Realm who formed small groups of two or three can only dream about killing them. Anyone fighting them is bound to be injured, which is why those three people set the price so high."
"Blessed Realm?!"
The trio remembered the chief bandit of Black Wind Mountain, and they looked at each other at a loss.
"Then doesn't that mean that we'll have to be chugging down medicine to survive?"
"Why are you scared? We have our eldest senior brother here, you know? Why would we need Jinchuang Ointment? He can handle them with a few throwing knives." Whirlwind Young Li glared at Azure Wolf.
"That's right, why didn't I think of that?!" Eastern Green Gate's eyes lit up, and he made a suggestion. "Why don't we just kill a whole bunch of them? If we miss this chance, we might not be able to run into such an opportunity again."
Happy turned around and said, "I was thinking about the same thing. I just spent all my money. Why don't we go there now and spend a night at Cold Mountain Temple? We'll kill all the Great Wolves. The three of you will be in charge of luring them, and I'll be in charge of killing them." He had a certain advantage if he used throwing knives to kill Great Wolves.
"Alright!"
When the trio heard that Happy had agreed to their suggestion, their spirits immediately lifted. They rubbed their palms together.
In less than half an hour, the four of them rushed into the depths of the forest around Cold Mountain Temple. The further they went in, the dimmer it became. However, their field of vision was not too affected, and it was not a problem to fight. Though once night arrived, they might need to light torches. However, they did not have to worry about this. All of them had some torches to spare in their Universe Bag.

Within the depths of the forest around Cold Mountain Temple were around forty players dressed in tight-fitting, white warrior attire and carrying weapons. They swept their gazes over the area, and while staying wary, they talked among themselves.
"Aside from the people from Dragon Tiger Sect, there are other people who have come here after they got some news. Leader Lin, what should we do?"
The group of people instantly looked at the middle-aged man at the center. He was dressed in the Great Wolf Fur Equipment Set. He had his hands behind his back and stood tall among the crowd. He was incredibly eye-catching. The man was one of the eight leaders of Heaven Domination Sect that rose to power in Gusu City. They had around eighty members in the sect, and quite a number of them had already entered Gate Realm.
When he heard this, Leader Lin's eyes sparkled. Resolution shone in the depths of his eyes.
"As long as we take down at this vantage point, we can turn this into an important source of income for our sect in the future! Hmph! Sooner or later, Gusu City will belong to Heaven Domination Sect! Get rid of all the others who are here!"
When he bought the Great Wolf Fur Equipment Set, Leader Lin immediately understood that Cold Mountain Temple was an important place that provided a lot of resources. He also instantly came to a realization that as long as he occupied this place, it would mean that he controlled the sales of the Great Wolf Fur Equipment Set, which would help Heaven Domination Sect's equipment to completely surpass that of all the other sects in Gusu City.
Someone hesitated for a moment before he asked, "What about the people from Dragon Tiger Sect?"
"Do you even need to ask? Keep no one alive!"
Leader Lin's gaze turned cold, and he gave the order to kill everyone without hesitation.
Dragon Tiger Sect had been in the limelight previously, but when its sect master suddenly took the initiative to send the news that they had lost to Happy, that they would avoid him when they saw him in the future, and even said that they were willing to share all resources equally with the players in Gusu City, Leader Lin knew that Dragon Tiger Sect had willingly pulled off its own fangs and claws.
As of then, the number of people in Dragon Tiger Sect had been reduced to less when it was at the peak of its time.
A tiger who no longer had its fangs and claws was no longer the king of beasts. It could not suppress all the beasts when it roared in the forest!
Now, it was the time for the pack of wolves to devour the tiger.
Many sects had popped up like mushrooms after a shower. As of then, if anyone could stand out among the competition, there was a high possibility that they could replace Dragon Tiger Sect as Gusu City's greatest sect!

It was only because of this reason that Leader Lin had made his decision. He would do everything in his power to seize the vantage point within Cold Mountain Sect and monopolize it for a long period of time.
He wanted to make the people in Gusu City avoid the disciples from Heaven Domination Sect when they saw them dressed in the Great Wolf Fur Equipment Sets!
The moment Leader Lin revealed his intention to kill, the forty or so people split into four groups without hesitation and swiftly went into the depths of the forest.

Great Wolves were wolves unique to the forest in Cold Mountain Temple. They were like giants among the other wolves. They were thirteen feet long and as tall as a human. If a normal person stood in front of them, they would tremble in fear at the thought of fighting against them.
But even so, under the temptation of great benefits, quite a number of players still formed groups to enter the area near the dens of the Great Wolves.
"Kill them!"
"Old Tu, careful! Move back! Brother Lu, come here!"
In a battlefield in the depths of the forest were seven players. They fought against a singled out Great Wolf while feeling incredibly nervous. Three of them were already injured badly, and they had frowns on their faces while sitting outside the battlefield. They circulated their qi to cure their injuries.
The other four shouted while they created chances for their partners to attack the Great Wolf in close-quarters combat. They had all sorts of weapons, and when the Great Wolf was the slightest bit careless, they would leave deep wounds on its fur.
"Howl!"
The Great Wolf's actions were very swift and brutal. Every time it was injured, its eyes would turn bloodshot, and at the speed of lightning, it would use its sharp claws to leave behind a lot of wounds on the people's bodies.
None of the seven managed to escape unscathed. Their blood practically dyed the ground beneath their feet red.
However, the Great Wolf did not show any signs of fatigue, even though it had fought for a long time. Every time it was enraged, someone would definitely move back and use Jinchuang Ointment as well as circulate their qi to heal their wounds. This showed that the Great Wolf's defense was very high, and it was also very tenacious.
"Damn it! If I knew just how hard it was to kill a Great Wolf, I wouldn't have come here. I've already used up five hundred taels of silver crumbs worth of Jinchuang Ointment…"
One of the people outside the battlefield had a bitter expression on his face.
Even though they knew that Great Wolf Pelts could be sold on the market for one thousand taels of silver crumbs, and they could even make a leather armor that was worth ten thousand taels of silver crumbs if they sent the pelt to the tailor's shop, when the seven of them shared the benefits, they would not get that much, and they had even used up a lot of Jinchuang Ointment…
"Calm down." The person by his side smiled and comforted him without any traces of anxiety or frustration. "Just treat this as us practicing our martial arts. Didn't you notice? The fluctuations in our tenth realm martial arts are frequent, and it's all because we're fighting against a high-level monster."
"Haha, you're right!"
"You understand now, right? We might as well just form a team and stay here. We can practice our martial arts and even earn money. There's no way we can get a better deal anywhere else."
"You're right." The people on the battlefield laughed wryly, "But when can we kill it? Close to half an hour has passed, and this damn wolf still hasn't died."
One swordsman was rather relaxed. When he heard this, he smiled.
"If it dies too quickly, it won't be worth it. If its defenses weren't high, how would its pelt be worth so much money?"
"You're right!"
The group of people were motivated again and continued fighting.
At that moment, a cry of pain suddenly came from behind.
The four turned around and looked. Around ten unfamiliar people in white suddenly appeared outside the battlefield. They came with an aggressive momentum, weapons in hand. Their three companions who had been circulating their qi to treat their wounds did not even have the time to fight back before they fell in a pool of their own blood. The group of strangers did not stop. They went straight for the four people who were engaged in a difficult fight.
The four people's expressions instantly changed.
"No!"
"Careful!"
The moment they panicked, they showed weakness.
When the Great Wolf found that its enemies had lost their composure, it killed one of them with one slash, turned its head and bit another to death, and in the blink of an eye, only two of the four were left. Besides the Great Wolf, they also had to face around ten killers who eyed them with covetous looks…
The same tragedy happened all over the depths of the forest. Cries of pain rose without end.
After some time, Happy suddenly stopped walking!
His nose twitched. A faint hint of blood had wafted into his nose from the depths of the forest, and he immediately quirked an eyebrow.

Reincarnation: First Monster
Names. To most humans and other savory and less savory creatures, they are important–-an integral part of whom they are. To me, however, it is quite trivial, especially so when you have a strange ability to reincarnate. But that's the least of my problems, considering the life-threatening training and tribulations I have to go through as a baby. Did I also mention that my current mother is a dragon?Warning: Can get quite bloody later on and an indifference to killing and sexual content in the future
