Sword Among Us Chapter 46: Both Sides Were Heavily Wounded

In a battle to the death, the stronger one party was, the quicker the weaker party's martial art realm would increase. The weaker party would also be able to understand the essence of the skills they used even more. 

The Black Cloud Sword Technique in Grandmaster Realm aimed to claim Happy's life with every strike. They were extremely ruthless and brutal, and even Happy did not dare to lower his guard. He used his understanding toward Flowering Knights Blade Technique from his previous life and linked it to this battle, constantly managing to neutralize the advantage the bandit chief built up at the perfect moment so that he could make a comeback. 

As they exchanged blows, the speed at which both sides attacked became faster and faster!

The bandit chief was no longer as relaxed as before. The silver sword in his hand either moved like a hissing venomous snake or slithered like a python. Each move brought with it great murderous intent, and it went straight for Happy's body whenever the chief found a chance. 

But as expected of one of the top of all low-tier blade techniques, the Flowering Knights Blade Technique moved like a living dragon in Happy's hand, and he kept up with an impenetrable set of defences and counterattacks. 

While they watched the duo's fierce and swift fight, Whirlwind Young Li and Eastern Green Gate found it hard to see each skill clearly. They felt as if the two people had rehearsed their fight before and it was a battle between two martial artists in a movie. However, this fight was much more direct and intense. Hidden within each move was danger and murderous intent, and it was fascinating to watch!

The duo were soon immersed in watching the fight.

After a few more seconds passed, Happy and the bandit chief had exchanged no fewer than three hundred strikes. Happy's Flowering Knights Blade Technique kept improving, and at some point, it had already reached the tenth realm!

Despite them fighting for a long period of time, no victor could be determined. The chief bandit then executed a few slashes in succession to force Happy away, and with a loud cry "Eat this sword technique!", he swung his silver sword. The black clouds vanished and were instantly replaced by a faint silver light!

Violent wind rushed at Happy who got to bear the brunt of the attack.

He felt an incredibly bright light suddenly flash before his eyes. 

'So bright!'

In an instant, a huge blind spot appeared in his field of vision, and fear seized his heart…

Happy was instantly terrified.

The familiar flashes made him swiftly link what he saw with a famous sword technique, and he felt a great chill creep into his heart.

Flashing Sword Breaker had an equal status to Flowering Knights Blade Technique among low-tier martial arts. In fact, this was a sword technique that was stronger than Flowering Knights Blade Technique. If the user got the skill up to the ninth realm, there would be flashes of light, and they would affect the enemy's vision. Then, with every increase in realm, the light would become brighter! The dazzling light in front of Happy made it clear that the Flashing Sword Breaker used on him was at Grandmaster Realm.

'Not good…'

Happy was caught off guard, and his heart trembled. When he noticed that the bandit chief had such a rare martial art, it was already too late for him to change his skill and dodge the attack.

He gritted his teeth. 'I have to take it head on!'

Based on the trajectory of the Flashing Sword Breaker he saw in that instant and the techniques he remembered from it, Happy moved toward the spot where the flash was the brightest. His qi exploded, and he cut at that spot with his Hundred-battle Saber. His blade whistled through the air.

The people watching the fight cried out at the same time. 

The bandit chief's act of suddenly changing his sword technique had been overwhelming in the onlookers' eyes. Yet Happy suddenly used his body to block the attack and launched another one that would result in both sides being heavily wounded, which made Whirlwind Young Li and Eastern Green Gate go pale.

However, the scene of both sides being heavily wounded did not appear.

The bandit chief changed his attack in time and knocked away Happy's Hundred-battle Saber to avoid being cut at his waist. He flew up and kicked Happy, making him fall backwards.

At that instant, the bandit chief, who was at Blessed Realm, finally won one round against Happy in their battle. 

However, at the moment a relaxed expression appeared on the bandit chief's face and he wanted to chase after Happy while he was on a winning streak, his pupils shrank. A shocked expression that showed that he was struck with fright appeared on his face. This was because he noticed the blue-robed boy flick his wrist and a cold silver glare shine in the dark!

A barely audible sound was heard, and a lancet knife flew out. 

All people had to be constantly on guard against someone with throwing knife techniques in Grandmaster Realm if they ever fought against them. If they lowered their guard in the slightest, they would get hit. It had to be said that Happy's control over timing and his temperament had already reached a shocking level.

Even the bandit chief discovered it too late. Before he could move his sword horizontally, the lancet knife had stabbed into his thigh at lightning speed. Fresh red blood dyed his pants red, and his offense was neutralized. 

With his thigh injured, the bandit chief's ability to move around was reduced drastically. For the first time, an extremely angry and savage expression appeared on his face, and he glared at Happy, who got up thirty-two feet away.

"I'll kill you!"

"Come."

Happy stood on unsteady feet as he wiped off the blood at the corners of his mouth. It was painful to be kicked by a powerful martial artist in Blessed Realm. He had internal damage, and his qi and blood were running on a rampage within his body. 

Fortunately for him, he had hastily thrown a throwing knife, and the chief bandit did not manage to gain an advantage of his weakness; otherwise, he could only flee with his two companions. 

Happy engaged in a fierce fight against the chief bandit again. 

However, this time, since they were injured, their attacks were clearly not as flawless as before, and they became much more careful and cautious when they executed their attacks. 

The bandit chief kept his eyes on the throwing knives on Happy's waist, while Happy kept his guard up against the Flashing Sword Breaker. They were cautious in their actions, and both sides sank into a stalemate again. 

Then, the two people watching by the sidelines breathed a sigh of relief. 

Whirlwind Young Li marveled, "Compared to eldest senior brother, I am still far too much of a greenhorn."

"Yeah." Eastern Green Gate shared the same sentiment. 

Even though they had two martial arts that were at the tenth realm and more than ten martial arts at the ninth realm, each of them had only practiced each martial art in a hurry. It was impossible for them to have reached Happy's level, at which he could execute all of his martial arts skillfully and dexterously!

It was only then that they knew why Happy did not practice many low-tier martial arts to increase his qi realm and why he persisted in having the few martial arts he knew reach great heights. 

By the looks of it, the realms did not represent how strong a person was, and they were not the key to determine everything. 

What was truly important was the understanding of the martial arts!

At that moment, conflict stirred up between the two Gate Realm players from Dragon Tiger Sect, who were of course still in the forest.

When they saw that Happy and the bandit chief were injured at the same time, one of the two people became greedy despite them having earlier decided to quietly watch the development. He silently sent a messenger pigeon to call for the people who were training at the mountainside. 

The other Gate Realm player was extraordinarily livid for him calling over forty or so of Dragon Tiger Sect's members. He made sure to keep his voice low when he grabbed his sect member's lapel. 

"Long Meng, do you know what you're doing?!"

"Obviously!" There was a crazed look in Long Meng's eyes. 

When he looked at the area outside the forest, greed shone in his eyes, and he said to the person behind him, "They are both severely wounded, so it's the perfect chance for us to put an end to this! As long as we can get rid of Happy, there will no longer be the legend of the Blue-robed Noble Sword User in Gusu City. 

"Besides, if we can get the treasures and martial arts manuals from Black Wind Mountain, Dragon Tiger Sect will grow even stronger." When he said the second half of his speech, Long Meng cast his companion a disdainful look. "Scholarly Immortal, don't lie to me and say you're not tempted."

"You're mad!" Scholarly Immortal gritted his teeth and glared at Long Meng. "You know just how strong Happy is, and you want to provoke someone like that?"

"Why wouldn't I dare?" Long Meng lowered his voice and laughed coldly. 

"He has a few decent martial arts and a hidden weapon technique from Murong Clan. We're not dumb NPCs though, so we won't just stand around and let him hit us. If you're worried, you can stay in the back. No matter what, you're the one who suggested this operation. When we go back, I'll have our eldest brother count you in so we can receive our contribution rewards from the sect."

When he heard Long Meng's conceited words, Scholarly Immortal was instantly rendered speechless. He clenched his teeth and immediately sent a messenger pigeon to his sect master in hopes that they could resolve this matter before Long Meng took any action, or else, it would just bring a great disaster on Dragon Tiger Sect. 

But unfortunately, he never received a reply. 

Long Meng seemed to have predicted this a long time ago. He sneered coldly and gave his orders in whispers to mobilize the group in the forest. 

When he saw that he could not stop Long Meng's mad actions, Scholarly Immortal shook his head with a bitter smile. 

"Dragon Tiger Sect is not like what they say they are."

He then left with a flick of his sleeve. Some time ago, they had deployed all of their forces to attack Black Wind Mountain, but they had still failed to wind against the bandit chief. However, that same man had been injured by Happy, and what was hilarious was that the sect's people could not see that just because they wanted a small profit. 

If that were the case, it was fine if he did not stay in Dragon Tiger Sect.
