Chapter 682: The Competition Starts! Three Events!
Pa!
Zhou Xuanji grabbed the white-haired man’s wrist and said, glancing through the corner of his eyes, “You have to leave a name if you want to kill me!?”
The white-haired man looked back at him and sneered, “Then, you can call me Sword Emperor Slayer.”
Having said that, his right hand turned into nothing as he continued to walk, breaking free from Zhou Xuanji’s hold.
Sword Emperor Slayer!
Obviously, he was provoking Zhou Xuanji!
Xian Xianghua said in a gentle voice, “He isn’t as simple as he looks. But he sure is going to die if he keeps up with his arrogance.”
She trusted Zhou Xuanji blindly.
How many enemies, who seemed invincible at first, had been defeated by Zhou Xuanji!? So who was the Sword Emperor Slayer!?
Zhou Xuanji smiled and continued forward with Xian Xianghua.
There were so many occupations in the Vocation Palace that it was difficult to keep count.
A new profession was born every second and some professions died.
Xian Xianghu had a seven-star aptitude, so there were many options available for her. Zhou Xuanji waited patiently for her to choose.
Xian Xianghua’s divine sense got a huge amount of information from the wall. Very soon, she found a profession she found interesting. She immediately went to learn it.
Not all professions were the same as the Void Boundary War God. The recruiters of most of the professions were just like salesmen. They were extremely enthusiastic.
Finally…
Xian Xianghua chose Imperial Demon Officer.
They were responsible for patrolling the universe around the Origin City. There were also Imperial Beast Officers, Imperial Barbarian Officers, Imperial Dragon Officers, and so on.
Zhou Xuanji was waiting outside the side entrance for Xian Xianghua.
About half an hour later, Xian Xianghua returned. A man was following her closely. He was exuding a thick beast energy.
“Fairy, we will be team members from now. So can we…” the man said with a smile.
He was wearing heavy armor and had wild hair. His cultivation had reached ninth level Overlord Saint.
Xian Xianghu ignored him and hugged Zhou Xuanji’s arm right away. The man’s smile turned stiff instantly at the sight of this.
Zhou Xuanji glanced at him and asked, “Who is this guy?”

Xian Xianghua shook his head and smiled, “I don’t know. Let’s go home, let me take good care of you tonight.”
She deliberately spoke in a sweet and seductive voice. The man’s face instantly turned pale as if he had eaten a fly.
He couldn’t help but take a look at Zhou Xuanji’s face. His eyes immediately widened in shock as he stuttered, “Zhou… Zhou Xuanji…”
He immediately cupped his fist to Zhou Xuanji and said, smiling, “You turned out to be Senior Zhou’s woman. I will try my best to help you in the future.”
He immediately left after having said this, pretending to be generous.
Zhou Xuanji was a super genius everyone in the city knew of. Not long ago, he had reached first in the citywide breakthrough rankings. He had also advanced to Dao-Treading Saint. He couldn’t provoke someone like him by any means.
Only a sensible person could live longer.
Zhou Xuanji and Xian Xianghua looked at each other, smiling. They then left the Vocation Palace and returned to the Longbow Divine Range.
For the next few years, Zhou Xuanji returned to the lotus world to train Emperor Sword Court.
His key targets of training were Xiao Jinghong, Zhou Xiaoxuan, Zhou Congjian, Lin Changge, Ning Zifeng, Meng Tianlang, and Chen Bantian.
Those seven were the one with the best talent in swordsmanship among his friends and families.
In the future, they would become the representatives of Emperor Sword Court.
Zhou Xuanji gathered them and taught them different swordsmanship with his divine will.
“From now on, you will be known as the Sword Emperor Seven Swords, what do you think?” Zhou Xuanji asked, smiling. Xiao Jinghong and Zhao Congjian naturally agreed.
Zhou Xiaoxuan objected, dissatisfied, “What an ugly name. Why not call it Seven Invincible Emperor Swords?”
Seven Invincible Emperor Swords!?
Zhou Xuanji blinked, inexplicably thinking about the Five Great Gods.
This name is pretty good.
“Master, can’t you give us enlightenment so that we can enter the Kunlun Origin Court as soon as possible?” Chen Bantian said with a smile, rubbing his hands.
The lotus world’s spiritual Qi was growing at a rapid pace. Their cultivation was almost Heavenly Law True God Realm but they were still quite far away from Connecting Heaven level ten.

Zhou Xuanji glared at him and warned, “The foundation is very important, so don’t be in a hurry!”
Lin Changge sighed, “Why can your cultivation rise so quickly? Is really no one enlightening you?”
Zhou Xuanji was already the belief of the entire Emperor Sword Court. Even his friends and relatives admired him.
In their eyes, Zhou Xuanji had been fighting and constantly breaking through his limits. But according to common sense, one’s cultivation base shouldn’t be so fast.
Zhou Xuanji curled his lips as he said, smiling, “It’s because of all kinds of chances and coincidences. Even if someone enlightened you, you won’t be able to catch up to me.”
This statement didn’t give anyone a blow, rather a look of worship appeared on his face.
Zhou Xiaoxuan curled her lips and said, “I don’t want to learn Heavenly Sword Descent, I want to learn many sword souls!”
Zhou Xuanji shook his head and guided, “Anyone can learn sword soul but it’s best to train one divine ability that can be your ace in the hole.”
“You should look like you won’t harm a flea when you don’t make a move but when you do, you will kill your enemy.”
Everyone couldn’t help but nod in agreement, feeling that this statement made sense.
…
Only after spending five years in the lotus world did Zhou Xuanji continue cultivating in the Dao Tower.
With his current realm, it would still take him a long time to break through, even with his twelve-star aptitude.
During this period of time, Xuan Mou didn’t accept a mission. They were indeed lacking merit points even after becoming Void Boundary War Gods but they weren’t in a hurry for the moment.
They were also looking forward to the Superstar Competition.
Years went by…
In a flash, Zhou Xuanji had reached five-hundred-and-sixty-seven years of age. And this year, the Sacred Competition was about to start.
Zhou Xuanji finally exited the Dao Tower. He first returned to the Longbow Divine Range Yu Family. He gave them an explanation before going to the Superstar Competition Tower in the Origin City from where he teleported to the Superstar World, waiting for the Superstar Competition to begin.
In the dim, dark world, the sky was covered in dark clouds and intermittent flashes of lightning. The Superstar Sacred Stele stood on the ground like a peak that was too high to touch.
More and more geniuses continued to walk out from the transmission array. As Zhou Xuanji raised his head to look, he discovered that he had already fallen to seven hundred or so in rank.
He couldn’t help but sigh.
How many freaks was the Kunlun Origin Court hiding?
At this moment, a screen of light appeared before him. The same was true for the other geniuses. Listed on it was a list of the Superstar Competition’s events. One could register for any event they like but every participant could register for at most three.
Zhou Xuanji rubbed his chin, immersed in his thoughts. He definitely had no chance in winning in events like competition of strength, speed, showmanship, and the likes. These events were all about strength.
His eyes locked on to an event.
Learning!
In this event, thousands of powerful divine abilities were made publicly available to the geniuses for them to learn to see who was faster.
Different levels of divine abilities were worth different points. In theory, the more difficult the divine ability was, the total points would be divided by a certain multiplier to get the final score.
I have to choose this!
The divine abilities related to sword dao were quite popular in the Kunlun Origin Court. He had a huge lead in this event.
The second was the theory of dao. The rules of this event were pretty simple. One could win by either persuading your opponent or by making the opponent frustrated or speechless.
To put it bluntly, this event depended on the gift of tongue.
As for the third event.
It was Great Dao aptitude!
This event mainly tested the participant’s aptitude for Great Dao. The level of everyone’s Great Dao would be restricted so that all the participants would have the same level of Great Dao. The popularity of this event was extremely high because Great Dao aptitude was related to the upper limit of its owner’s achievements.
And even in the Kunlun Origin Court, one could not always keep on growing stronger.
Every creature had its own bottleneck.

Natural Alchemist
Will is poor. This is a fact he does not like about himself. Even back at his home village he was considered poor, but poor in the big city means something completely different than poor in a small village... It means ten hour days of hard manual labor with barely enough money to survive, and poor living conditions. He's sick of it, and desperate for change. Perhaps that was what made him decide to spend such a large portion of his savings on a mysterious potion from that beggar... That, and it seemed so special when he held it. But ever since that day, he's been having the strangest dreams... And the work is really starting to take a toll on his body... Author's Note: I wasn't sure which mature content warnings I should put on this novel, as I'm pretty much pantsing the story. I'm putting them there mostly as a percaution, but also to not limit myself as to where the story can go. This is my first time writing and publishing anything substantial. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
