Chapter 600: Chapter 600 – Overlord Saint Appears
Boom!!
Sword qi passed over the stone monkey, traveling to the depths of the starry sky.
Zhou Xuanji maintained his pose after swinging, and he calmly looked at the stone monkey.
Lady Zhaoxuan, Qiu Hu, Xuan Daoya, Si Mengyan, and Ren Niming all looked at the stone monkey.
Even though they did not know why Zhou Xuanji had attacked, they trusted that he was not acting rashly.
The stone monkey was not shattered, and it instead violently trembled.
“Ahhh—” The stone monkey suddenly gave a strange howl as a black shadow flew out from within its body and quickly exploded and scattered.
Zhou Xuanji lowered his swords and asked, “What is the price for resurrecting her?”
The stone monkey lifelessly replied, “10,000 years of lifespan.”
Everyone’s eyes widened, unable to believe their ears.
Zhou Xuanji smiled.
As expected of the sword that could slash through the river of history!
He had slashed away the stone monkey’s past, ridding the stone monkey of destiny’s influence on it, causing it to return to normal.
“Deal!” Zhou Xuanji said as he put away the two swords, waiting for the stone monkey to act.
The stone monkey opened its mouth and a ray of light shot out, falling on Lady Zhaoxuan’s body. Following this, Lady Zhaoxuan started to regain lifeforce at a rate visible to the naked eye.
Her appearance did not change much, but she was no longer a soul and now had a body.
Lady Zhaoxuan looked at herself in delight. She wanted to say something, but she did not know what to say.
She looked back at Zhou Xuanji, an apologetic look in her eyes.
Apart from giving birth to Zhou Xuanji, she had not done anything that a mother should have.
Zhou Xuanji gave a slight smile and said, “Come, let’s go and visit your granddaughter.”
Lady Zhaoxuan was startled and hurriedly walked over.
Zhou Xuanji waived his right hand and sent her into the world within the 24 Rank Deep Black Lotus. He sent her before Daoya Old Man so that Daoya Old Man could arrange things.

“What is the background of that sword?” Xuan Daoya asked as he looked at Zhou Xuanji in shock, his voice slightly trembling.
It could even sever destiny?
Qiu Hu and Si Mengyan also looked at Zhou Xuanji in shock.
Only Ren Niming was smiling.
Zhou Xuanji calmly replied, “It comes from me.”
He looked at the stone monkey and asked, “How can I gain Reincarnation Power?”
Now that he had gotten rid of destiny’s influence, he should gain some opportunities for himself.
He wanted to become stronger!
Strong enough to defeat destiny.
The stone monkey opened its mouth and spat out a piece of white jade, which flew before Zhou Xuanji. He said, “Consume it, and you will be able to gain Reincarnation Power.”
Looking at the jade, Qiu Hu felt quite disgusted.
Ren Niming stepped forwards and crushed the white jade as he smiled and said, “Alright, we should be heading back.”
Their goal this time was Lady Zhaoxuan, and now that they had resurrected her, they could not allow Zhou Xuanji to continue putting himself at risk.
The others came over and all let out sighs of relief.
“Head back? Where do you think you’re going?” the stone monkey suddenly yelled, causing everyone to quickly retreat.
The stone monkey violently trembled and its body became wrapped with a strange blood-red aura.
“Destiny cannot be defied… all outside creatures must be destroyed…” the stone monkey shrieked, and hearing this, even Qiu Hu felt goosebumps rise up.
“Quickly leave!” Ren Niming said in a low voice. After saying this, he flew off the stone stage first.
The others followed close behind, flying down along the Yellow Springs Pillar.
Soon, they arrived back at the Netherworld.
Xuan Daoya let out a breath and said, “That was so dangerous! Can we not take such risks in the future?”
Facing destiny at that moment, he felt as if his soul was going to dissipate.
…
Zhou Xuanji was expressionless but inwardly he rejoiced. He was fortunate that he had the History Asunder Sword.
“Be careful, everyone!” Ren Niming suddenly cried out. Zhou Xuanji instinctively looked back and saw a massive black shadow descending.

Before he could see that black shadow clearly, the explosion caused him to instantly lose consciousness.
…
After who knew how much longer, Zhou Xuanji gradually came to, and he felt as if he was being soaked in seawater.
He slowly opened his eyes and a pale white face appeared before his eyes. There was a pair of blood-red eyes on the face, making it look incredibly terrifying.
He instinctively slashed out with his palm as a knife.
The ghost quickly leapt back and disappeared in the seawater.
“Where am i?” Zhou Xuanji frowned and hazily looked around.
He immediately flew upwards.
Boom!
He flew out of the sea and what greeted him was a dimly-lit heavens and earth, as well as dense fog.
The Netherworld!
So below was the Yellow Springs.
“What’s going on…”
Zhou Xuanji tried to think about what happened earlier and felt as if his head was going to split.
He found that there was a cliff ahead, which could barely be made out in the fog.
He flew towards that direction.
After a few breaths of time, he suddenly stopped, and his expression fell.
There were two figures on the cliff ahead.
One of them was Xuan Daoya. He was being raised high up by a black shadow, unable to make a sound, and his legs were desperately kicking.
Zhou Xuanji directly took out the Thunderclap Sword and used Ranged Sword Propelling.
Swish—
The Thunderclap Sword instantly arrived before the black shadow and pierced through it before it disappeared over the horizon.
The black shadow did not explode, and it instead opened its mouth and devoured Xuan Daoya.
It turned and looked at Zhou Xuanji, revealing a pair of red eyes.
In the dark Netherworld, the Yellow Springs roiled, and the two of them looked at each other from afar.
Meeting that black shadow’s eyes, Zhou Xuanji could see that the eyes were filled with killing intent.
An extremely powerful killing intent!
Zhou Xuanji asked in a low voice, “Who are you?”
The Thunderclap Sword returned to his hand.
The black shadow had a hunched back, looking like a beast, and said with a cold voice, “Zhou Xuanji, you should not have existed. Your very existence is a stain! You must die!”
It jumped up and rushed at Zhou Xuanji, and a massive pair of black wings appeared on its back, spanning many kilometres.
Zhou Xuanji unleashed Sword Dao Rules and slashed out.
Boom!!
Two terrifying waves of power collided, destroying everything. Even the Yellow Springs caved downwards, and massive waves appeared on the borders.
Zhou Xuanji was sent flying back by the black shadow.
He used the Thunderclap Sword to defend against the black shadow’s sharp claws. At a close distance, he suddenly felt that the black shadow looked somewhat familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere before.
He immediately exploded out with his own aura and forced the black shadow back.
Zhou Xuanji then took out all of his swords and used Sword Sect Immortal Ghost Weep.
“Why did this thing appear?” Sovereign Xuan said in terror, as if the sky was collapsing.
Zhou Xuanji asked, “Who is he?”
Dao Lord Xuantian answered, “Overlord Saint! The first Saint!”
Zhou Xuanji’s pupils constricted.
He had thought that this was a manifestation of destiny; he had never thought that it was the Overlord Saint.
Wait… the Overlord Saint had also been banished by destiny…
Could it be…
The black shadow Overlord Saint roared as he charged over, his wings beating, and countless traces of black rain swept out.
Zhou Xuanji immediately dodged; he could feel that this black rain was incredibly dangerous, and he could not afford to receive it head-on.
He quickly flew towards the horizon while he conversed with the souls.
The black shadow they had encountered while coming down from the Yellow Springs Pillar was the Overlord Saint?
Why didn’t that fellow kill him before?
At that moment, Zhou Xuanji’s eyes suddenly heated up, and an indescribable itchy feeling made him continuously blink.
He could sense a massive power about to burst out from his eyes.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)

I felt all the color drain from my face and dropped back onto the bed not sure I could stand. "You mean-...I'm a-... father?" It sounded like Ayumi was struggling to breathe, "Yes...I'm not calling to make you feel guilty...it's just...there was an accident, it doesn't look like I'm going to make it, and-." Her voice cracked, "I know you weren't ready for a family and its unfair of me to do this to you, but you're the only I trust enough to care for her..." Her? Tears welled in my eyes, "I have a daughter?"
