Chapter 651: 651
Chapter 651: 24K’s origins
“We have caught and imprisoned the Brain Worm, but the crisis didn’t completely go away, because what landed on our planet was just a worm’s nest. The creatures called the Zergs still had thousands and thousands of nests across the entire universe, and hundreds of millions have already hatched building the Zerg army. The content is retrieved from this Brain Worm’s memory and is a projection after processing and combining.” The picture projected by the bracelet changed again, this time, the background became a vast galaxy.
“Boom!”
On a large space warship with a length of five kilometers and the metal bodies of various complex structures that were covered with a transparent energy shield layer, a hundred meters thick main cannon of the ship charged for nearly a minute before opening fire aggressively.
A hundred meters thick energy beam in the vacuum environment about a hundred miles away crashed into the surface layer of the Psionic Energy Shield that was covered with a pile of bodies as it quickly moved towards this side near the Zergs in the vacuum.
The huge energy beam was enough to cause thousands of insects, which were more than five meters tall, from the Zergs army to completely vaporize. The final energy beam hit the core of the Zergs that appeared to be many times larger than the battle warship onto the body of something that looked like an aircraft carrier and gigantic Boss-Grade cosmic life creature.
“Boom!”
Immediately after, this huge Boss-Grade cosmic life creature also launched a counter-attack, as it directly shot a hundred meters thick invisible psionics beam back, as it went through the energy shield of this large cosmic warship.
Countless bugs with sharp antennae poured up and began to destroy and dismantle all of the structures in this army warship.
…
This scene was similar to one of the war scenes displayed before.

The only difference was that the background changed to the cosmic galaxy and the combat strength of the army units utilized by the two sides of the battle was one tier more advanced.
On the human side, in addition to the enormous asteroid giant model, large space warships, and thousands of various models of medium-sized warships, there was also countless human combat armor that was sized like ants.
However, these pieces of human combat armor had combat strength which was not inferior to most of the individual units in Zerg and could even be compared to a smaller sized space battleship.
They had fluctuations liken to the Force in this combat gear in space, those long-range or melee amplification of armored weapons under the support of the Force had a powerful destructive ability that, in an attack, was able to kill a large number of insects.
Some attacks were not inferior compared to the main weapon of a normal warship.
Of course, the Zergs’ army was not inferior as compared to human beings.
All kinds of soldiers were relying on the huge Zerg aircraft carrier and constantly rose into the vacuum before they charged towards the human-controlled warships and mechas.
There were “flying dragons” that could spew flames, some were long-range “floating pythons” that could shoot attacks liken to the cannons in the army warship, there were even some flat-shaped soldiers covered with a body of psionics liken to small, long knives that carried a psionics attack, being able to directly cut off one medium or small-sized space battleship.
…
In the galaxy, countless Zergs and human combat armor, and tens of thousands of space warships were constituting into one of the most stunning galaxy battle scenes.
If the battles seen before this were the most intense ground combat scene a player could currently imagine, this battle in the galaxy was definitely beyond the player’s imagination.
“This… is spectacular, it could even calculate out so many units battling, War’s supercomputer was strong.” In the lab, the players who saw the scene on the screen had all been shaken still.

“It’s spectacular, what I’m more concerned about these galaxy-level fights was when would we as players be able to participate? Now, compared to these warships and what Zerg’s large scale unit has, the weapons and equipment that we currently have would not even be able to be used as cannon fodder.” Meng Boss stared at the projections, at those “Door Swords” which were more than ten meters long held by those hands, a human combat armor which could cut insects with a length of more than a dozen meters in half, as it almost made his saliva flow out from his mouth.
The mechas on the screen were not solely attacking with machine guns or missiles, in fact, from the mechas combat style, one could almost see the foreshadowing of various professions.
Heavy Armored Warriors, Machine Gunners, Manipulators, Snipers… This was the future of the player’s evolution.
“Galaxy combat, perhaps it’s still too early to think about that. These Zergs are not below Level-70, and it feels like we need to be at least this level to be able to open the Interstellar Battle version.” As a group of players was speaking with a shock, the projection had changed and been replaced by the white NPC researcher.
“Upon obtaining all these images from its memory, we were completely shocked by the powerful fighting power of the Zergs insect armies, and by our usual means, we couldn’t have simply destroyed them completely, because their reproduction rate was too fast and they also can combat and move around in the galaxy. We need to look for their weaknesses. Under the instructions of the Chief Executive of the Planet, Military Chief Duke Lofid, I was instructed to carry out research on this alien race to find their weaknesses and ways to deal with them. It has been a difficult process, and we’ve failed countless times… But fortunately, the most elite biological technology in our Sam Empire had some luck. After much in-depth research into this Brain Worm and Zerg samples, our team had finally made a big breakthrough not long ago… cough, cough…” Upon speaking until this moment, the white male NPC on the screen suddenly coughed violently.
“Our team, using the genes and the genetic information of a special spawning and hatching, the advanced unit studying the Brain Worm and the Zerg called ‘Queen,’ fused the evolutionary viruses and a black beetle and successfully created a super biotic weapon that has the advantages of these two insect units and was able to be controlled by our biotechnology. Since this creature has the genes of both the Brain Worm and Queen, it inherits the advantages of the two units. I named this creature “King Beetle”… Cough… Cough!” The screen switched again, this time, there was a gold beetle-like creature, with a size not exceeding two fists and a fully golden colored body, placed in a ball-like liquid instrument.
“This… It can’t be…” Everyone in the lab turned as they looked at the 24K lying on the Feng Luo’s shoulder.
Since this NPC cultured this “King Beetle” thing, it had the same appearance and modeling as 24K.
“It turns out, this is the origin of 24K.” Feng Luo thought, realizing that this is 24K’s origin story.
No wonder 24K had some of the characteristics of the Zergs while still being very different from them.
As it turns out, it was made by this guy’s team, creating a new species originating from the genes of the Zergs’ units.
However, while everyone was staring at 24K, 24K did not respond this time, because it was staring at the “King Beetle” in the projection, it seemed like it did not expect to see itself on another picture.

Until Death? (Refleshed Version)
Ever been a god? Well, I was! Until I died.... and got judged by the other gods! Apparently, they didn't like the whole "My Faith is the only true one!" idea. Oh, and for the record: The Apocalypse wasn't intentional, ok? In my defense, I want it to be known that my enemies threw the first stone and the whole 'Offer the other cheek' just isn't my thing. Seems like, for punishment, I get sent onto a vacation! Or so I hope? ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: It's here, a rewrite? Yes! I would like to think that this version will have better grammar, better jokes, hopefully, everything better. Since it was my first work and started solely to improve my English, the grammar always caused me headaches when I looked at it. Well, and there are the plotholes which appeared with the whole multiverse thing that came with my other works... Let's just say that the first one was never written with the idea of turning it into a series. So let's get a shovel and fill-up the plot so that hapless readers won't fall into those pitch-black pits. They might break a knee! Or worse, vanish forever. And now the disclaimer everyone knows: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)

Leaves of Terranthir
DISCONTINUED - I won't be writing more of this fiction. Check out the latest post for a worlbuilding summary / final thoughts. Leaves of Terranthir is a gamelit blend of ARPG, action, fantasy, and slice of life. It's inspired in part by some of my favourite games, borrowing in themes, sense of exploration, and aesthetics from the Soulsborne and soulslike genre, mixed heavily with arpg itemization from Diablo/PoE style games. While many may remember their Soulslike experiences as nothing more than suffering, I personally loved the sense of progression, to prevail over challenges and monsters that seemed impossible to defeat at first. If any of that seems interesting to you, do check out the first chapter and let me know what you think. Cheers, and thanks for reading. Cover by Baconstrap.
