Fatal Shot Chapter 539

Chapter 539: Escape and Pursuit
The death of the Scout reduced the number of Rebel Army players to only three. Now, the ratio of surviving players on both sides became four to three.
Although Feng Luo’s side had one person less, when it came to combat ability, they were definitely stronger than the three on the enemy’s side. Naturally, there was no need to mention that the three enemies had already lost the will to fight.
“Tao Zi was also killed by the sniper! Brother Huang, what should we do? The opponent has a Quasi-Boss Grade pet as well as a Sniper who has awakened the Force! There’s no way we can win!” Exclaimed the Water Manipulator anxiously as he cast another energy shield over himself after the skill got out of cooldown.
They instantly understood one thing after they saw Feng Luo’s level, that the enemy sniper was a player who had awakened the Force. Only players who had awakened the Force could exceed the Level 50 limit.
Just how much stronger were players who had awakened the Force.
With regard to this concept, many players had a glimpse of this from the PK videos of the unbeaten “First to Awaken the Force” player – “God Invikill” who rose quickly into the top ten superstar list. They were no longer strangers to the functions of the Force.
“But why does this guy’s Force seem stronger than Invikill?”
“Invikill is only strong because he has two Legendary Grade gears. With his weird stealth ability, he can easily sneak to the side of his target before making a move. In terms of sniping skills, he’s quite average. At the very least, he isn’t able to easily insta-kill a Light Armor Warrior.”
However, this Sniper not only had the firepower to instantly kill someone, but he also had HP that was comparable to Light Armor Warriors, as well as recovery rate that surpassed Heavy Armor Warriors.
Most frightening of all was his accuracy, in which he did not miss even one of his shots, and each shot striking fatal spots that inflicted ridiculous damage. How were they going to fight?

Moreover, the enemy still had a Quasi-Boss Grade pet.
Since they were the first group to join the Rebel Army Camp, pretty much everyone in Yellow-tooth’s group had a Commander Grade pet.
As such, they were very well-aware of the strength difference between an Elite Grade pet and a Commander Grade pet.
A Commander Grade pet’s combat strength was similar to a player fully equipped in Rare Grade items of the same level. As for a Quasi-Boss Grade pet, it was simply not an opponent a player could deal with.
It was definitely not odd for a pet to be stronger than a player in War.
If the enemy only had a Sniper who had awakened the Force or just one Quasi-Boss Grade pet, they might have tried duking it out. However, the current situation right now was a Force-awakened player and a Quasi-Boss Grade pet together.
“F*ck it! Retreat! Return to the Heavy Knight, get the mission items and retreat. Their patrol spacecraft crashed. Before they exit the battle mode, they won’t be able to bring out their transport vehicles. They won’t be able to catch us!” Yellow-tooth said angrily while hiding behind Seven Kills’ alloy shield.
In the last few days, they had been doing well inside the Town of Exile, so each and every one of their items and pets were top-class.
In addition to the benefits gained from the Rui Conglomerate, the group had experienced a life unlike before, a life that was envied by others, and they had never been so utterly beaten before.
However, they did not have much of a choice. The situation was bad, and they could do nothing but admit defeat.
“Li Yan, cast the firewall and block the line of sight of the enemy sniper.” With regard to Yellow-tooth’s decision, Seven Kills, who originally did not like him very much, also agreed.
Seven Kills was very suspicious that the enemy sniper right now and the sniper who made their guild suffer huge losses around ten days ago back in Silvermoon City were the same person. The fully red outfit of the enemy female Light Armor Warrior made him quite sure of it.

Although he had his suspicions, when facing a player who had awakened the Force, he was not yet prepared to test if his shield were stronger or if the rifle of the enemy was more destructive.
After all, the mission was their priority since it would impact his acquisition of the hidden profession.
As long as he obtained the hidden profession, with the T-virus enhancement and biological potions that he received from the Umbrella Corporation, he was confident that he would not be weaker than a player who had awakened the Force.
From the information that he saw from Wesker recently, the Umbrella Corporation also had ways to deal with people with the Force.
“If I can beat this sniper head-on, my position as the trump card of the expanded guild will be solidified.” Seven Kills stared straight at the enemies’ location and began retreating while protecting the other three long-range professions.
Although their formation had been severely affected and disrupted by Jelly’s “Wind Blade Cannons,” they were still fine in terms of their HP.
The Heavy Armor Warrior, Seven Kills, was standing in front with his shield raised, and as such, he had blocked the line of sight of the enemy Sniper. Additionally, though their Commander Grade pets were almost wiped out, they had helped absorb a lot of the damage.
In particular, the Rock Takin pet, though it moved slowly and clumsily, and it did not have any attacking skills, its over 20,000 HP and large body absorbed most of the wind blade attacks.
…
“This is bad, they’re running!” Feng Luo, Big Pineapple, and Phoenix instantly understood their opponent’s intention after seeing the three enemies retreating towards the Heavy Knight SUV after a wall of fire that blocked their line of sight appeared.
It was definitely bad news. Just as Yellow-tooth said earlier, before they exited the combat status, they were unable to bring out their transportation vehicles. On the other hand, the enemy still had their Heavy Knight vehicle.
As long as the enemies got on the vehicle and ran, there was no way for them to catch up.
“Hurry! Go and get them! We can’t let them board the vehicle!” Exclaimed Phoenix. As she spoke, she cast Charge and ran full speed ahead towards their enemies.
“F*ck! These bastards! They have the numerical advantage and yet they still want to run away!” Big Pineapple complained. With his large alloy shield raised, he also rumbled ahead towards them.
“Be careful, it might be a trap!” Feng Luo raised his sniper rifle and switched his profession to the Light Armor Warrior. Similar to the two, he activated Raging Charge. Although he suspected that it might be a trap, the current situation made it so he had no choice but to give chase.
The Rebel Army Camp players were less than a hundred meters from them. For warriors using Charge, it was only a matter of a few seconds.
When Feng Luo, who lagged slightly behind the other two, charged past the gradually disappearing wall of flame, he saw that Big Pineapple and Phoenix were already engaged in battle with the enemy Heavy Armor Warrior and Yellow-tooth.
“Boom!”
Big Pineapple and Seven Kills’ alloy shield clashed together as if two walls slammed into each other, bouncing off each other violently.
“-687!”
This was the damage number that appeared above Big Pineapple’s head.
“-1045!”
This was the damage number that appeared above Seven Kills’ head.
The damage that Seven Kills received was 0.3 times higher than the damage Big Pineapple received.
However, his maximum HP was over 30,000, so from that shield banging alone, it seemed like they were fighting toe-to-toe.

World Master
Hey! I once lived on your world back in 2056. But that was a long time ago and there’s probably no records of my existence. Or, maybe, I haven’t even been born yet… …I’m still figuring out of the timelines correspond. Anyways, I was or will be, or whatever you want to call it (maybe I am?), John Pitcher, a resident at St. Jude’s Hospital for the Mentally Ill. I was a computer programmer and my parents had me admitted there because I was convinced that I had been contacted by Set, the Egyptian god of chaos, about creating a world. Well, apparently, I’m something akin to the great times a hundred grandson of over 10 000 gods, and they didn’t want me to live an ordinary, dull life (well, except for the god of normalcy, but he doesn’t count). Set gave me three years to prepare myself. This begins right at the end of those three years. [participant in the NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] I originally had this as part of the prologue, then I realized that it made a better synopsis. Please note: this might seem a bit clunky because I haven't done a lot of writing, and this is supposed to be a kind of prequel to another story that I plan on doing in the future. I will not be fully explaining everything but instead will be explaining things in that other story. This is mainly to help fill in the lore of the world so that people will have at least a basic idea of how things function. Regardless of that, that story won't be written for at least another year, so deal with it. Note: I am using ideas from several different authors in order to make sure that this can be a proper story. You may or may not recognize where I got them. I am not writing a Fanfiction and do not claim these as my own. I will add to a list of titles below as I find myself using those ideas. World Keeper (obviously) The Wandering Inn The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound (not yet, but eventually) A bunch of others that I haven't thought of yet
