Chapter 386: Dark Red Blood Mist
Chapter 386: Dark Red Blood Mist
“Feng Luo” was sent flying with that hit, even though he should, theoretically speaking, be dominating the fight since he had entered “Force Awakening . ”
However, this time, “Feng Luo” flew further than before, and while in the air, the HP that was taken out was now more than half . But this time, no healing numbers appeared .
In the moment the “Force Awakening” message popped up, “Feng Luo’s” body had a sudden surge of powerful energy . The powerful energy immediately dealt an attack on the dark energy within his body .
“Bang!”
The moment “Feng Luo” awakened the Force, the dark energy residing inside various parts of his body were expelled from his body .
The peculiar dark energy granted him amazing recovery ability, and it was also the reason why “Feng Luo” was able to stand toe to toe with the Tyrant .
Now that the dark energy had been expelled, naturally, it was inevitable that “Feng Luo” would be sent flying .
“Feng Luo’s” Force seemed to be unable to differentiate between friends and foe .
In a situation where a powerful enemy was right outside, it actually implemented the national army’s “resisting foreign aggression in fitting” policy and exiled its ally .
…
“Feng Luo” was sent flying by the Tyrant’s hit and crashed into the ground more than ten meters away . After he landed his eyes were closed, and his body did not move . It was as if his character had been stunned by the Tyrant’s hit .
The dark energy that was expelled from his body quickly congregated on top of his body . After around one second, they formed an oval shape above his body in the shape of a bug .
Bug? The dark energy actually transformed into the shape of a lifeform? Could it be that the dark energy was actually a sort of lifeform in the game?! (Where did the dark energy come from? Do you remember?)

The situation was definitely weird . However, even weirder was that the Tyrant currently charging towards Feng Luo had suddenly become confused . Its angry eyes showed a sense of puzzlement .
It stopped its charge several meters from Feng Luo . It did not attack the him, even though he had lost more than half his HP on the ground .
…
The unknown black creature in the air, having dawdled for a while, seemed to have decided . It scattered and transformed back into a ball of dark energy before flying towards the unconscious Feng Luo on the ground, targeting his right arm .
Although most of the dark energy had been expelled from Feng Luo’s body, some of it remained in one place, the Ghost Weep military knife that Feng Luo was holding with his right hand .
The dark energy poured towards Feng Luo’s right arm at high-speed . Even the residual dark energy on the Ghost Weep seemed to have immediately surged towards Feng Luo’s right arm as if they had gone into a frenzy .
However, after expelling the dark energy from other parts of Feng Luo’s body, the energy inside himself seemed to have detected the convergence point of the dark energy, and also converged to his right arm, beginning the conflict between the two forces .
The density of the dark energy around Feng Luo’s right arm was definitely much higher, even the awakened force was unable to expel the dark energy immediately . The two forces wrestled against each other, none being able to get rid of the other .
The Level 43 Tyrant stood beside Feng Luo and did not attack . Its greenish-white eyes darted around . Its originally confused eyes suddenly looked a bit menacing and it roared angrily again .
It roared at four zombies that were initially standing on the sidelines when they suddenly charged towards the unconscious Feng Luo .

Roar!
Before they could reach Feng Luo, their bodies were struck by a giant claw . The Tyrant attacked, but its targets were the zombies .
Among the four zombies, two were Normal Grades, and they were sent flying . The other two were Elite Grade zombies, and they were torn apart by the Tyrant .
The remaining zombies looked frightened and did not dare to charge towards Feng Luo anymore .
The Tyrant and zombies were the same species, but the zombies were the failed product of the evolution process . The body’s mechanism is destroyed since it could not withstand the destructive forces of the T-virus . So, the body died very quickly since it did not have enough food . Some would successfully evolve into the Tyrant!
The Tyrant was a relatively more successful evolutionary product . Although they also had several rotted body parts, their recovery ability could keep up with the rate of rotting, which extended their survival time .
Some, like the previous mutated Tyrant, could even negate the negative effects of the T-virus and transform into a stronger creature after the evolution . This is actually the T-virus’ evolution objective, to create controllable “biological weapons . ”
The Tyrants had some authority over normal zombies . However, this sort of authority was limited, as Tyrants were “Solo Type” Commanders .
Zombies were never gregarious creatures, as they did not have any AI and instinctively feared the prowess of the Tyrant . However, if their instincts met another kind of stronger instincts, their behavior would change instantly .
“Pop, pop, pop!”
At that time, Feng Luo’s right arm suddenly made popping sounds . His right hand holding Ghost Weep, whether it was his veins or arteries, each of them began to pop out, and some even burst open with blood flowing out of the body in a gaseous form and spread out like a mist, almost completely shrouding him .
It was as if his right arm could no longer withstand the destructive forces generated from the battle between the dark energy and the force .
The peculiar thing was that the blood that came out from his veins was not just red, but black and red, as if someone had added the dark energy into fresh blood .
The smell of fresh blood made the extremely hungry zombie horde completely disregard their fear towards the Tyrant .
Auuuuuuu! Rooooar!
All the zombies began to groan and growl, waving their injured and battered arms while charging towards the spot where the smell of blood came from, Feng Luo .
Before long, a few zombies reached Feng Luo arms, legs, and neck . They opened their mouths and bared their fangs as they prepared to bite him .

The Voice of the World
Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class. Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday. Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late. The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like. While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all. Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged. Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on) (it did, eventually), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality. Update Time currently varies, due to personal injury, but the goal is 1/week on Wednesdays, with a possible smaller chapter on weekends if time/health permits.
