Chapter 348: Rare Skill: Enhanced Martial Arts!
[Martial Arts] – Normal Scout Level 20 Skill!
Of course, it was also the only skill available .
Apart from Martial Arts, the other Level 20 skills of Scouts were Firepower, Enhanced Continuous Shot, and others . However, most Scouts would only choose the Martial Arts skill because it had decent effects .
After learning the skill, the user would obtain certain bonus damage when attacking any body part in melee combat .
However, Feng Luo’s skill was not the normal Martial Arts that only Scouts could learn, but a Level 30 general skill for all professions, the Enhanced Martial Arts skill! Compared to the normal Level 20 Martial Arts, the Enhanced Martial Arts did not really increase damage by a lot; however, it had a really useful effect, which was that it provided effect bonuses for any effects inflicted in melee combat!
For example, the kick on the Heavy Armor Warrior after the slash would inflict “impact” and “pain” to the target, and due to the effect of Enhanced Martial Arts, the effect had been enhanced!
Level 40 Battle Will, Level 30 Enhanced Martial Arts, Level 35 Raging Charge, Level 15 Throw…
One could not deny Hound1007’s foresight — it was just as he evaluated . Feng Luo did not set his second profession as a normal Light Armor Warrior; instead, his combat style was much closer to that of a Scout, returning to a Gunner, whether it was in the game or from his past real-life experience .
Feng Luo knew that he would never be able to adapt to the Light Armor Warrior’s sword-wielding combat style where he would have to continue spamming blood tonics and skills one after another to get rid of his opponents .
Instead, he was used to planning before initiating an operation . Every time he initiated an attack, he would be aiming for a one-hit kill, or at the very least, achieving a certain battle objective! As such, though the Light Armor Warrior profession complemented the Sniper profession to a certain degree and it also had the amazing Charge skill, it was not as compatible as the Scout profession .

Therefore, when Feng Luo was selecting his second profession, choosing between the Light Armor Warrior or Scout, he was certainly quite hesitant . It was not until he was reminded of one person did he finally decide to choose the Light Armor Warrior as his second profession .
Although Light Armor Warriors generally used alloy longswords and relied on their skill combos to fight, one could not deny the fact that there were also players who developed combat styles that completely deviated from the general gameplay method .
For example, the Light Armor Warrior, Neutron Star, from Red Queen’s group used a two-handed longsword and a shortsword to fight . His talent provided bonus damage to basic attacks, so he used more parries and counters in combat, which was quite different from normal Light Armor Warriors . Despite a reliance on basic attacks, his combat strength was definitely not any weaker than top-class Light Armor Warriors .
So, since Neutron Star could give up the common Light Armor Warrior skills based on his talent and develop his own combat style, why couldn’t Feng Luo do the same thing?
War had more than 100,000 rare skills, and new skills continued to pop up every day . As long as he researched carefully and was meticulous, Feng Luo was certain that he would be able to create a Light Armor Warrior with a Scout’s combat style .
The only issue was that these rare skills were not cheap . A relatively common rare skill was priced above 100,000 credits, and the best among the best rare skills cost more than a million . Normal players could hardly afford one rare skill chip .
However, to Feng Luo, who had succeeded in transforming himself into a Tycoon, money was no longer a problem .
That was why Feng Luo’s second profession, the Light Armor Warrior, had a fighting style that was almost identical to a Scout . Of course, compared to a normal Scout, his Light Armor Warrior version Scout had several advantages .

He had more HP, higher defense, and after casting Raging Charge, he had frightening speed . All of these advantages were enough to provide him with survival and melee hunting abilities far greater than a normal Scout, especially in group battles .
“Ka-chang! -2077!”
“Pa! -1856!”
“Boom! -1022!”
Feng Luo, who had activated both Raging Charge and Battle Will on the battlefield, displayed battle prowess and strength that made him seem unstoppable . Paired with Enhanced Martial Arts, the military knife in his hands and his powerful physical form, Feng Luo had turned all the tools at his disposal into viable weapons!
Ghost Weep’s destruction coefficient of B grade also turned the Heavy Armor Warrior’s armor and shield obsolete . Under Feng Luo’s barrage of attacks, the Heavy Armor Warrior could do nothing but defend .
However, in about six seconds, he only had one-third of his HP left! This was surprising, considering he was a Heavy Armor Warrior equipped with gears and items of at least Excellent Grade, a Rare Grade alloy shield, and activated defensive skills!
Unless it was an explosive Machine Gunner, it was practically impossible to deal such burst damage in such a short amount of time . Even the number one damage output profession, the Fire Manipulator, would find such a feat impossible .
“Damn it!” However, on the battlefield, the Heavy Armor Warrior seemed to have finally become fed up with just being on the receiving end . As Feng Luo closed in with Ghost Weep after retreating to avoid his skills, the Heavy Armor Warrior shouted in anger .
“Boom!”
His speed suddenly doubled as he swung his shield, and accompanied by a gust of strong wind, he slammed towards Feng Luo’s body .
“Shield Bash!” The Expert Level basic skill had a short skill cooldown and could already be used again!
However, though he looked angry, the Heavy Armor Warrior was actually calculating . As he initiated the attack, his body seemed to have moved backward, suggesting that he was retreating towards the crowd .
Although they plotted to gain Feng Luo’s Ghost Weep, his two teammates were killed in a few seconds while his HP was reduced to one-third of the total without even touching their target . The Heavy Armor Warrior was more than certain that he would never be able to defeat Feng Luo .
“But just because I can’t win doesn’t mean I can’t run!”
“Anyone would know that a military knife that can punch a hole in a Rare grade alloy armor is a Legendary weapon . I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s thinking about this!
Even if they did not think of it, as long as I shout it out, I’m sure more than one will participate and try to surround and attack him . If this guy really still wants to give chase, worst comes to worst, I’ll take him out with me! the Heavy Armor Warrior thought .
He did not know that all his subtle movements had already been captured and seen by Feng Luo . Feng Luo became expressionless while his body continued to move . His cold gaze quickly scanned around the surrounding players .
Clearly, many people had a glint in their eyes . There were even Manipulators whose energy converters had the light of condensed energy glowing . The only thing was, no one made a move; clearly, they were waiting for the right moment .
“Right moment… Hmph!” Feng Luo sneered . He first glared fiercely at the Heavy Armor Warrior, then, with Raging Charge still activated, he tackled the Heavy Armor Warrior and made a move that caught everyone by surprise!

Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
