The black-red blade tip drew a trajectory in the air as the reverse-type blade of a length of 30 centimeters pinned an Elite Black Beetle bigger than a fist straight to the passageway wall!

A red lethal damage coefficient flashed across⸺the Elite-Grade Black Beetle, which was initially full of ferocity, had been slain with one slash!

Feng Luo’s right hand did not stop at all; with a twist of his wrist, he brandished his military knife and he viciously slashed it towards his own calf!

“Tch!”

The tip of the knife followed the edge of his combat shoe in an arc and collided with the head of the Elite Black Beetle attempting to bite his calf!

“Pai!”

The semi-transparent layer of Psionic Energy Forcefield on the Elite Beetle instantly shattered!

The knife tip continued unrelentingly downward, sending the Elite Black Beetle off the combat shoe and smashing onto the ground, then viciously stabbed into its head!

“⸺3577!”

Its attack power was comparable to the Eye of the Thunder as a Legendary-Grade weapon, and had a B-Grade attack system⸺even the tough shell of the Elite Beetle was of no use at all .

A red damage coefficient flashed past once more . With such a lethal attack, even if the remaining HP of this Elite Beetle was still above 3500, it would have been instantly destroyed . !

“Ching!”

The cold gleam of a stiletto!

“⸺1844!”

Near Feng Luo, Mu Zi had also put down his submachine gun and his hand similarly brandished a grey stiletto . He swept away the Elite Beetle which landed on him, sending it flying!

Although he did not have Feng Luo’s super-high talent-enhanced damage, the close-combat enhancement from the Scout profession was sufficient to allow Mu Zi to finish off a low-HP Beetle with just two slashes!

“Boom!”

For Chairman Jiao on the other side, as a Light Armored Warrior, the king of close-combat, such a close-combat capability was his greatest forte, and so he was similarly on a killing spree .

With a wave of the gold broadsword in his hand, it was like he was swatting at flies as he slapped the surrounding Elite Black Beetles into pieces!

However, in comparison, the remaining players were not having it so easy .

The three Manipulators who were fighting and retreating at the same time were a little troubled .

Because in such a narrow underground environment, the team’s formation was unable to really pull open, causing them to be quite restricted in using their skills!

It must be known, attacks in were determined by group damage⸺under such a situation, range attack skills could not be used at all!

They were only able to use Fireballs, Earth Spikes, Stone Bombs and related small-range skills to finish off the Elite Beetles which were charging up to them one after another!

The only good thing was that the three of their Energy Forcefields almost had their cooldowns completed; now, they radiated red and khaki and protected completely their bodies . The Elite Beetles’ mouthpieces, able to effortlessly chew up Alloy Shields, had finally met their match⸺they wereunable to quickly chew through the Manipulators’ Energy Forcefields .

Thus, the three Manipulators facing the Beetles with similar Psionic Shields could only say one thing: “Come on, let’s wreak some havoc!” By relying on their forcefields, Manipulators could still hold on .

But the last two players indeed could not last much longer .

Little Snow, the team’s Doctor, had already lost five HP . Six Elite Beetles had surrounded her, leaving her with only the last bit of HP .

Rose Thorns,as the only Heavy Armored Warrior,should have been the most able to hold on .

However, as she had been at the front, she had automatically attracted the Elite Beetles’ attention, resulting in almost half of the Elite Beetles all surrounding and attacking her, and so her HP was now less than 10% .

“Sister Rose, first-aid pack here!” Little Snow shouted, throwing the newly-prepared first-aid pack to Rose Thorns .

“Pai!”

“+2755…+202, +198…”

Touching Rose Thorns’ body, the first-aid pack instantly dissolved into white light and vanished .

Rose Thorns’ HP was instantly restored by a huge portion, and a lasting green recovery coefficient emerged above her head .

However, the white light of death had flashed across Little Snow .

“Tch, tch…”

Seeing their target’s death, the five or six Elite Beetles which attacking her instantly flew up and turned to attack the other people!

“Tch!”

A Gurkha military knife violently stabbed through the body of a Black Beetle which had just risen into the air .

Feng Luo, who was finally finished with the Elite Beetle on him, had a cold expression as he used “Ghost Weep” and sliced this Elite Beetle in two with one slash!

However, under the dim lighting, even Feng Luo had not noticed something .

And that was when “Ghost Weep” had cut this Beetle into half, its originally glossy black shell had turned dull, whereas the color of the military knife had turned richer!

This battle of fighting and retreating had lasted for close to two minutes .

When the last Elite Beetle had been viciously smashed by Rose Thorns’ shield and was reduced to a lump of protein, the battle had finally ended!

However, the team was left with only six people . Other than Little Snow, the male Fire Manipulator had also been bitten to death after his Energy Forcefield was broken .

Even if Feng Luo’s ability was better, it would have been impossible to ensure everyone’s survival in the chaos of battle!

The most important issue was that the Doctor had died⸺the possibility of deaths in the following battles would be much higher than before . Though they had defeated the Beetles, it was hard to consider this battle a win .

“Luckily, it should be left with just one monster Commander, we should be able to take it down with everybody giving their all!” Chairman Jiao smiled .

As an Earth Manipulator, his attack power was weaker in comparison to the other three professions of the same branch . However, with good equipment, the defense coefficient of his Energy Forcefield had been high . Chairman Jiao’s forcefield had only shattered in the last few seconds of the battle, so his HP now was still above 80% .

“Don’t know why this monster Commander isn’t attacking us together with the Elite Beetles, but like this, we indeed still have a chance⸺once we defeat it, our mission should be complete!”

Chairman Jiao said in agreement as he held onto his Alloy Sword, staring at the Black Beetle Commander already at a distance of more than 30 meters due to them retreating as they were fighting .

“Let’s wait a moment and replenish our HP . What a pity Little Snow had died, if not we would still be able to have our buffing state enhanced!” Little Witch said .

Her HP was now the lowest, below 15%, but with the Blood Tonic still in cooldown process, she had to wait for a while before she could consume it .

Furthermore, without a Doctor’s enhancement of everyone’s state, everyone’s ability would be reduced by at least three folds .

However, everyone was not very worried .

After all, with everyone’s high amount of top-grade Rare equipment and Rare skills, the possibility of being able to stand up against a Level 40 monster Commander would be very high!

“Would the possibility be high…”

Only Feng Luo, standing at the rear of the team, knew that if they had been surrounded and attacked by all of the Beetle armies which the Black Beetle Commander had sent out from the wormhole, they would have definitely been wiped out already .

But he was not wrong; his eyes revealed a slight emptiness as his gaze had already been settled more than 30 meters away, on another battleground!
