Chapter 205: Annulated Sea Snake (Hydrophis Cyanocinctus)
Translator: Aristophaneso
“Let’s go. We’ll loop around them!”
Chu Xian called to Old Huang and the others. They couldn’t mess with this group of sea snakes.
After passing the group of sea snakes, Chu Xian still kept his god’s eye view on the group. Old Huang and the others spotted the edge of the huge gathering of snakes, and they could only shake their heads helplessly.
“Boss, I think we should let Xiao Jiao stay here and keep a look out, and we can come back with a fishing ship!” Old Huang said passionately.
Chu Xian thought for a moment and then nodded. “Okay, Xiao Jiao, you can stay here. If the sea snake group hasn’t left, we will come back with a ship!”
“Okay boss!” Xiao Jiao replied, the human words coming out of its shark mouth. If any human found out, they would definitely take it into a lab to study it!
Chu Xian patted its head before turning away. As he was leaving, he scanned the sea snake group casually with his god eye’s view, and spotted a familiar snake.
The reason why it was familiar was because this was the very same sea snake that Chu Xian had been looking for – the one that David was looking for so desperately.
The snake had red eyes and a completely red body, and its vibrant colors stood out clearly from the sea snakes around it.
“A Hydrophis Cyanocinctus, we actually found a Hydrophis Cyanocinctus.” Chu Xian’s face showed his excitement.
David and his friend has been searching for this snake for a while now, and had spent half a month in Vietnam with no news. They had just been preparing to come to Thailand.
“Should I catch it now, or wait!” Chu Xian hesitated. He was conflicted; this group of sea snakes was worth over a hundred million rob, and if it was still here when they got back, this would be a huge haul. If they went out and caught this Hydrophis Cyanocinctus right now, then this sea snake group would definitely scatter.
This was an extremely important choice!”
“Fine!” Very quickly, Chu Xian shook his head. The sea snake group could separate at any moment, and this Hydrophis Cyanocinctus was extremely rare. David and Chu Xian were also very close, and he would not give up this chance for vague possibilities.
“Xiao Jiao, do you see that red sea snake. Bring it over here!” Chu Xian swam over to Xiao Jiao and pointed out the red Hydrophis Cyanocinctus.
“Okay boss!” Xiao Jiao glanced over at the sea snake before diving into the water and darting forward with ferocious speed.
Xiao Jiao’s movements were fierce and tyrannical, and in front of it the group of sea snakes were like ants, easily parted by his direct charge.
“Hua hua hua!” Xiao Jiao’s entrance startled every single snake, and they scattered in every direction.
This was their natural predator.
Sharks eat sea snakes, and are the natural predator of sea snakes. This is a natural order that they could not resist.

Against their natural predator, the snakes were not fierce at all. Xiao Jiao reached out with his pair of claws and fearlessly lashed out, sweeping aside the sea snakes one by one.
“I’m so jealous, why are sharks immune to sea snake venom. If I devour a shark, will I also become immune? But I don’t think the possibilities are that high!” Chu Xian watched as Xiao Jiao pounced through the sea snake infested waters like a tiger ripping its way through a sheep herd, and in a small corner of his heart felt jealous.
But if he devoured different types of fish and increased his energy, he might become immune to sea snake venom in the future!
Xiao Jiao dashed through the sea snake group, fixing its eyes on the red Hydrophis Cyanocinctus.
The Hydrophis Cyanocinctus wriggled in panic, undulating its body in feverish activity as it tried to get away.
Xiao Jiao grinned in mockery, and with a violent splash with its tail, burst forward, and with a casual stretch of its claws, easily caught the snake.
“Si si!” The sea snake stuck its tongue out and thrashed and wriggled in desperation.
“How impressive, it really is a master at catching sea snakes!”
Chu Xian watched with surprise as Xiao Jiao easily captured the Hydrophis Cyanocinctus.
“Boss, I got it!” Xiao Jiao proudly waved the Hydrophis Cyanocinctus in its claws.
“Be careful, don’t kill it!” Chu Xian smiled and called back.
“Don’t worry Boss!” Xiao Jiao replied, and quickly placed the Hydrophis Cyanocinctus inside the leather net he had attached to his body.
Old Huang had given it the net yesterday, and had told him to catch sea snakes and put them inside when it wasn’t busy.
“Okay, give it to me!” Chu Xia took the leather net from Xiao Jiao and touched the Hydrophis Cyanocinctus inside. The sea snake snapped out its mouth and tried to bit him.
“One of the world’s most poisonous sea snakes, the Hydrophis Cyanocinctus. Quite fierce indeed. If its head is any indication, it looks like its over five years old!” Chu Xian laughed.
The Hydrophis Cyanocinctus weighed over ten catties, and was about two meters long. This was an adult sea snake, and should meet all of David’s requirements!
“Let’s go back!” Chu Xian turned away from the scattered group of sea snakes with some disappointment, and they sped away and swam to the harbor.
About three hours later, Chu Xian and the others surfaced and came on shore. The sky was still dark.
“Good, we’re still in Prachuap Khiri Khan!” Chu Xian looked around. Although they were not at the harbor they had left from, they were still in the vicinity of the city.
“Boss, I know this place. We’re not too far from Gelaiao Kehuang’s fish farm. DO you want to go there to devour?” Old Huang looked around and asked Chu Xian.
“En, what a coincidence. Then let’s head over right now!” Chu Xian nodded cheerfully at the happy surprise, and followed Old Huang’s directions.

“It’s here. This whole area is Gelaiao Kehuang’s fish farm.” Old Huang took him to a cordoned off part of the sea that stretched inland.
“What a gigantic fishing farm. This must be larger than the entirety of Feng Tai Lake!” Chu Xian looked at the farm with astonishment.
The sea water swept inland, and the entrance to the farm was blocked by a dam, completely blocking off the inland lake. It was really worthy of the name of the biggest fish breeding farm in Prachuap Khiri Khan!
Chu Xian let out a sigh of admiration, but in the end, the owner did not have good luck.
“You guys wait here!” Chu Xian called out, and then jumped into the water.
“Not bad not bad, there are many different types of fish, and they’re all quite large!”
As soon as he entered the water, Chu Xian spread out his God’s eye view. Fat fish filled the waters in every direction.
Transform!
Chu Xian willed, and immediately transformed into a scary, four meter long monster.
Rule!
Chu Xian swam inward and spread out his ruling ability. The fish in this farm weighed at most seven to eight catties, and could not compare to his power.
Facing the over four-meter-long Chu Xian, none of these fish could even resist, and he gulped down a fish every time he opened his mouth, and even the largest fish were not spared.
At that moment, if you were looking down at the fishing farm, you would be able to see the churning black mass of gathered fish vanishing at a terrifying pace.
In the end, Chu Xian did not even bother chewing and just directly swallowed the fish into his stomach – his stomach was a boundless hole anyway!
One hour passed, and then two. The sky gradually grew brighter, and Chu Xian had gone through a huge change.
He had grown from his four meter long state to five meters, and his whole body had thickened. He was even more intimidating now, and his whole appearance exuded ferocity.
The energy in his body and increased from around 2200 to 2815, a boost of over 600 points.
And he could now rule nine more fish, raising his total to 25 mermen!
Chu Xian turned his attention back to the surrounding area, and he could not see anyone in the vicinity. He climbed out of the water and took a moment to admire his strengthened body.
“I should be able to resist bullets now!” Chu Xian smiled, and then walked away.
“Boss, there’s someone coming over from the distance. We should quickly leave!” Old Huang saw Chu Xian walking over and immediately called out.
“Okay, let’s go!”
Chu Xian nodded, and they all walked back to Li Long’s villa.
“Big Brother Chu Xian, you are back!”
Li Long had gotten up to work out, and when he spotted Chu Xian immediately walked over.
“En, I am back. Everything is handled now, and I’ll rest a little before returning to China!” Chu Xian nodded.
Li Long nodded.
After a shower, Chu Xian lay down on his bed and fell asleep, and slept until that afternoon.
When he entered the living room, he saw Li Long and his father watching TV. Chu Xian glanced at the screen. The news was showing a wrecked fishing ship and a dead body strewn on the beach.
“What’s happening!” Chu Xian asked as he walked over and sat on the couch.
“Big Brother Chu Xian!” When Li Long saw Chu Xian walk over, both he and his father immediately stood up. Li Long’s father looked at Chu Xian with an expression of awe.
“What are you doing, sit down!” Chu Xian laughed!
“Big Brother Chu Xian, did you guys not get hit by the storm last night? The TV is saying that a level ten storm hit the Gulf last night, and many fishing ships haven’t returned. They might already be at the bottom of the ocean!” Li Long pointed at the television and said.
“We got hit, but we were lucky. We were close to the harbor, and even though the fishing ship sank, we managed to swim the rest of the way!” Chu Xian replied simply.
“Then Big Brother Chu Xian, you guys were extremely lucky!” Li Long believed his words and laughed happily. His father beside him also grinned, but his laughter was very forced.
“Nobody will stand in our way here in Prachuap Khiri Khan. I hope the company will be able to stand on its feet soon. Catching sea snakes is not a problem, but remember what I said. We don’t need to just sell the fish, we can do research ourselves. Hire some specialists!”
Chu Xian reminded them.
“I know, Big Brother Chu Xian. Don’t worry. I understand what we should do!” Li Long replied.
“En, then I will leave first. If anything happens, you can contact Old Huang!” Chu Xian nodded at him, and stood up to leave.
Li Long immediately stood up, and accompanied him outside.
“Bass One, you can stay here.”
Sword One had been responsible for sailing the ship, and now that he had died, Bass One would fill his role. Old Huang had been teaching him over the past few days, and he could now sail without a problem.
As he sat in the car, Chu Xian looked at the Hydrophis Cyanocinctus beside him and suddenly thought of a problem.
Sea snakes could not be brought onto airplanes, and if you wanted to put it in your luggage, you would need a series of quarantine certificates and have to go through a great amount of trouble.
“I’ll give David a call and let them come get it themselves. I’m sure they’ll be very surprised!”
Chu Xian took out his phone, took a picture, and then dialed a number!

In The Maw Of The Gods
Synopsis Lilly Harper was always the type to keep to herself. She struggled to make friendships and so, she simply opted not to. That was why moving to the coastal town of Wilham didn’t bother her. She wasn’t leaving anybody behind and she certainly didn’t expect to be making any friends any time soon. However, when she starts hearing about the school’s “Magic Club”—a group of weirdos who claim that magic is real, she can’t deny that she’s slightly intrigued. Then without warning, she suddenly finds herself wrapped up with them. And what if they aren’t crazy? What if magic is actually real? And what if it’s because of that magic that something more powerful than they could ever conceive of is drawn to Wilham? I plan to follow a release schedule of Tuesday/Friday. Average chapter length will be 4,000 to 6,000 words and I will be using multiple POV's quite often. Also to note, while I am flagging the story with content warnings, I am only doing so because there are specific moments where it will be needed. Overall, the story will be relatively tame and I plan to put extra warnings at the beginning of chapters that it applies to. Thank you to everybody who decides to give my story a chance and I hope you enjoy it!
