Chapter 204: A Sudden Storm and a Sea Snake Group
Translator: Aristophaneso
This matter with Li Long’s family was quickly settled, and in the end, the Li’s stock in Paradise Sea Snake Company dropped from the previous 15% to 5%, and it was now under Li Long’s name.
Li Long’s character and attitude was very good, and Chu Xian had a great amount of trust in him.
Lying back leisurely in his chair, Chu Xian caled Xiao Ying and they spoke for half an hour.
“In the end, I don’t have to busy myself with the details of everything!” Chu Xian sipped his drink and though to himself. “I have people like Old Huang and the others who are completely loyal to me, and some things can be completely left to them. It is like a king in ancient times, I only have to give them a general direction, and then the mermen will go and do it. Old Huang is better at handling these matters anyway.”
“En. We’ll set up a cabinet to focus on handling the legal matters, and then we can set up an Easy Factory to handle the underworld matters. Haha, what a great idea!”
Chu Xian chuckled to himself and nodded. His business was only just getting past its first legs, and if he had to deal with every single thing in the future, he would busy himself to death. He needed to hand some matters off to the mermen.
“I will remold some wise mermen in the future!”
Chu Xian decided, and then turned to Old Huang beside him. “Old Huang, if I leave you responsible for matters in Thailand, will you have any trouble?”
“Boss, as long as you let Sword Two, Sword Three, and a couple of the other mature mermen help, I won’t have any problem at all!” Old Huang answered confidently.
“Okay, then you guys will take care of everything. I want to have some fun in Thailand for a day or two!” Chu Xian stood up, his face covered with a relaxed smile.
“Don’t worry boss, you can go have fun. Let Gun One and Gun Two follow you!” Old Huang chuckled.
“Okay!” Chu XIan nodded. He walked over and patted Li Long’s shoulder. “Take me to some interesting places in Thailand, and we can go tour a little. You don’t have to deal with this matter either, just let Old Huang and the others handle it. In the future, you just have to manage the company!”
“Okay, Big Brother Chu XIan!” Li Long nodded with gratitude. “In Thailand, you hav veto visit Bangkok, Was Run, Erawan Shrine, Siam Square, the Floating Market. We can go and see the sights.”
“Good!” Chu Xian nodded and smiled. “Old Huang, when things are finished let me know. We’ll head out first!”
Old Huang nodded.
With Gun One and Gun Two accompanying them as guards, Chu Xian and Li Long directly headed to Bangkok.
It took them over an hour by car, and it was already three in the afternoon when they arrived. Li Long brought him directly to see Wat Arun.
The Wat Arun is a large group of palaces, and was a great architectural achievement of Thailand, with many ornaments, sculptures, paintings, and other examples of Thai style art. The buildings were beautiful, and often gilded gold. It was a sight to please the eyes.
Thailand is famous worldwide for tourism, and millions of tourism pour in every year. Bangkok was prosperous, and all kinds of luxury goods were gathered here.

There are many temples in Thailand, with examples of every type, and all of them are beautiful.
And of course Thailand was famous, or infamous, for their trans population. Now that he was here, Chu Xian was also curious to see this phenomena.
For two days, Chu Xian had Li Long bring him around to tour the attractions, and they hit up all the must see sights in Bangkok.
“It’s time to return. After things are hanlded in Prachuap Khiri Khan, I will return to China!” Chu Xian hung up the call with Old Huang, and a soft smile crossed his lips.
After returning to the Li Villa, Old Huang immediately met them. “Boss, we’ve reached the final stage. We are going to bait Lilanke Saiweige and the others out to sea tonight and finish it with a final battle!”
“Will they follow?” Chu Xian asked.
“Yes boss, the three of them will definitely come.” Old Huang said confidently.
Chu Xian nodded. “Okay, then finish this!”
Chu Xian did not know what Old Huang and the others had been doing these past two days, but there was a new wound on Sword Three’s arm. It was not too serious though, and he would be completely healed soon.
That night, Chu Xian and the others boarded their ship and slowly sailed out to sea.
The moon was bright in the next sky. Chu Xian stood on the accelerating boat and looked into the distant waters with a sober expression.
After they’d sailed for about two hours, he detected three ships – two fishing ships and a cruise ship – each of them over thirty meters long. Chu Xian’s fishing ship was puny in comparison, and a direct collision would completely capsize the smaller vessel.
“So they really are all gathered!” Chu Xian turned his gaze towards the cruise ship in the middle, and the three men standing on its deck.
“In a battle at sea, mermen have no opponents!” Chu Xian looked over at them and laughed. The gathered mermen quickly dived into the sea.
“Boss, we can watch everything from a distance.” Old Huang came up beside Chu Xian, and they bother watched complacently as the mermen darted through the waters.
About ten minutes later, Chu Xian could feel the two fishing ships on either side of the cruise ship slowly sinking, and the people on those boats shouted out in panic. Small life boats swarmed from the sides of the ships and tried to reach the central cruise ship.
But they were not facing normal opponents, and the mermen could swim freely underwater. Before they could escape, Sword Two and the others capsized all the little boats, and with screams of panic, every single person fell into the sea.
With his sonar, Chu Xian watched the changing facial expressions of the three terrified men on the cruise ship, and very quickly their expressions changed again as their cruise ship also began to sink.
“Boss, let’s go over!” Old Huang said to Chu Xian, and the fishing ship sailed forward slowly. By the time they had reached the others ships, all three of them had already sank into the waters. Lilanke Weisaige and the other two were still alive.
When they saw Chu Xian and his men, they shouted out angrily. Old Huang walked over to them and spoke a few words.
In the end, Lilanke Weisaige and the other two sank to the bottom of sea, expressions of horror covering their faces.
“What were they saying?” Chu Xian asked Old Huang when he returned.

“They said that if they die, the Thai government won’t forgive us.” Old Huang smiled. “But don’t worry Boss, although they are powerful in Prachuap Khiri Khan, and if they just went missing there would be a lot of noise, if they died out here in an accident there wouldn’t be any problem.”
“En? Dying in an accident?” Chu Xian looked at him with confusion.
“That’s right.” Old Huang nodded. “Boss, when I investigated them I found out that the three of them take a group of women out to sea every month for a party, and there just happened to be a storm tonight!”
“Storm?” Chu Xian paused.
“That’s right. There will be a medium sized storm in the Gulf of Thailand tonight. Of course is isn’t a real threat to their thirty meter long ships, but if they don’t come back tonight, others will only think that they met an accident in a storm, and no one will know that it was by our hand!” Old Huang explained confidently.
“Impressive!” Chu Xian could not help but give him a thumbs up. Old Huang’s intelligence could compete with the strategists of the three kingdoms era.
“Oh, the winds are rising Boss. Our fishing ship might not survive the storm!”
At that moment, the winds blew heavily across the waters, and Old Huang turned to look at the waves and smiled.
“Okay, then it looks like we’ll have to swim back.” Chu Xian laughed.
“Sorry Boss, we really don’t have any other larger fishing ships!” Old Huang laughed awkwardly.
Chu Xian waved his hand: “It’s not a problem.”
“Boss, Gelaiao Kehuang, the Prachuap Khiri Khan fishing magnate owns a very large fishing farm. I think there’s at least three to four hundred tons of fish inside them. It’ll be great for your devouring skill!”
At that moment, Old Huang suddenly said.
“En? Three to four hundred tons?” CHu Xian’s eyes lit up. His energy had only been slowly rising, and he was too lazy to go out to sea to devour and level up. In the end, it had been very difficult for him to raise the number of fish he could control.
“That’s right, at least three to four hundred tons, and maybe even more. As the biggest breeder of fish in Prachuap Khiri Khan, his fish farm is huge.”
“Good!” Chu Xian’s face showed his excitement. Three to four hundred tons of fish would give him at least four to five hundred more energy points, and that would give him seven or eight more slots for fish to command. It would perfectly fill the gaps in Chu Xian’s guards when he had to leave Gun One and the others behind in Thailand.
“The wind is blowing heavily, let’s quickly leave!” Old Huang called out as he felt the wind growing stronger, and the waves rising higher.
“Okay!” Old Mu called back, and very quickly turned the fishing ship towards the harbor.
“The wind is too strong! Prepare to abandon ship!” Old Mu watched as the fishing ship shook violently and called out.
“Let’s go, we’ll swim back!” After Chu Xian called out, he jumped into the water and the other mermen quickly followed.
The harbor was about 80 km away, and though Chu Xian’s speed was quite fast, his mermen could not compare. It took them around three to four hours to get to shore.
On this stormy night, a very peculiar sight would have stunned anyone who was watching. A dozen or so people swam through the freezing waters at a speed that vastly outstripped any professional swimmer, and from time to time a three meter long shark would surface beside them.
The storm grew stronger and stronger, and the waves rose higher and higher. As Old Huang had reported, a level seven storm was sweeping through the Gulf of Thailand tonight.
A level seven storm was not dangerous to fishing ships that are twenty to thirty meters long, but after swimming for half an hour, Chu Xian and the mermen could feel the storm still growing, surpassing the level seven categorization.
“Yi, the report definitely predicated level seven, but with this kind of wind, the storm is at least a level eight!” Old Huang frowned a little.
“It must be a wrong prediction, it’s not impossible!” Chu Xian said to Old Huang.
“Hurry. If the storm grows too strong, we mermen will have to dive deeper in to the waters, and we will progress even more slowly!” Old Huang called to Old Mu and the others.
Chu Xian felt the storm growing stronger and stronger and began to frown. He focused, and sent out sonar pulses to check the waves.
At that moment, the waves had already reached two meters into the air, and one wave after another grew higher and higher.
“I think this is even stronger than an eight degree sotrm!” Chu Xian frowned.
The storm kept growing and growing, and the rolling waves churned the waters. Old Huang and the others could only swim with great difficulty, and were forced to dive deeper into the sea.
The strong storm had completely turned them around, and they had lost all sense of direction!.
Only Chu Xian could handle the waters. In his fish form, the pounding waves could not really affect him as long as he was underwater.
“Hong!”
Suddenly, a giant wave smashed into the sea, and a huge expanse of water was suddenly swirled into motion, and a whirlpool gradually formed.
“Fuck! A whirlpool!” Chu Xian was astonished and quickly swam away from the forming whirlpool.
But the mermen beside him could not swim away so easily, and were slowly pulled into the center.
Chu Xian frowned and shook his head helplessly. “Fine, I will have to follow them.”
The whirl was growing bigger and bigger, and Chu Xian could barely make out its movement with his sonar. The mermen linked hands while Chu Xian swam beside them, his powerful musculature protecting him from the pull of the water. Xiao Jiao also swam beside them, his shark form stronger than the half man forms of the mermen.
An indeterminate amount of time passed and the storm slowly dissipated. The whirl gradually relaxed, and the mermen were free. Chu Xian nodded at Old Huang and the others before turning away and heading to upwards to the surface.
“The sky is still dark. Looks like only two or three hours have passed, but where are we? We have to be able to find land!” Chu Xian looked around and frowned.
Old Huang and the others popped out of the waters one by one. “Boss, which way should we go?”
Chu Xian shook his head slightly. He also could not navigate in the middle of the ocean. If he had known this would happen, he would have brought a compass!
“Boss, the harbor should be in that direction!” Old Mu pointed and called out.
“En? You can tell the directions?” Chu Xian looked at him with some doubt.
“The stars in the sky!” Old Mu pointed upwards. The storm had blown all the clouds away, and the stars were very bright in the night sky.
“Good!” Chu Xian laughed happily. Smart mermen were really gifted!
Chu Xian and others followed Old Mu’s directions and swam to shore.
But they had been swimming for barely ten minutes when they spotted something that stunned Chu Xian.
A nest of sea snakes had surfaced, and at least ten thousand snakes dotted the surface of the waters. The packed forms of the writhing serpentine creatures was quite terrifying to behold, and anyone with a phobia would have fainted straight away.
“The storm must have made the sea snakes gather, and now they’ve surfaced!” Chu Xian had to swallow a lump of saliva, and a thought inflamed his heart. “This is a fortune right in front of me waiting to be seized!”
But he could only think and not act. With so many sea snakes, even if he could resist their poison in his fish form, he would be bitten to death anyway.
“That’s right, sharks aren’t afraid of sea snakes!” Chu Xian turned to look at Xiao Jiao as the thought popped into his mind. Sharks were immune to sea snake venom, and would not be afraid even if they faced an entire nest.
But very quickly Chu Xian laughed bitterly. They were so far out at sea, even if he could catch these snakes, he had no way to store or transport them.
“Aih, I encountered treasure but can’t seize it!” Chu Xian sighed. This was just like that time he had found the gold mine under the sea, he could only look and could not take it.

Iron and Wood - A Tale Of Empire and Clans
For centuries, the Midlands had been split into fragments. A once glorious, united Empire has become a shadow of its former self. Unity has not returned, and not for the lack of trying. The greatest of these successor states were the Li Dynasty to the south, the rulers of old, and the Emerald Empire to the North, with its vibrant vitality. Unity is the end goal, and both will sacrifice anything to attain this elusive dream. For unity would surely solve the conflict that had long plagued this once prosperous continent. The Ironwood Clan was a prime player. Some would consider them the ones holding the reigns to the horse named 'Unification'. Iron and wood were the backbones of civilization; similarly, the Ironwoods were the backbones of the Northern Empire, and by extension, the people of the Midlands. Their methods, as questionable as they might be, had strengthened the North. Yet, were they enough? In the midst of it all, a young Ironwood who had lost his path must once again find his way. For the sake of his own wellbeing; for the sake of his clan; and for the sake of the Empire and its subjects. However, is he willing to sacrifice for the good of all? Is he willing to condemn some for the sake of others? Is he willing to make the right, albeit harsh, decisions? Only the heavens would know. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction.
