Chapter 233: 233
Chapter 233: The Hot Belinda
At night, the two of them had nothing to do, so they strolled along the beach.
The beautiful Belinda walked barefoot on the beach, thinking about the years she had spent with her master. She missed those days very much.
After the other party’s narration, Locke learned that the other party was an orphan from Wood City.
Not long after Belinda was born, she was abandoned under a tree.
If her master had not saved her, she would have been eaten by Daemons.
In Belinda’s heart, her master was no different from her mother.
Furthermore, her master was a famous thief! So, her master taught Belinda how to steal and pick locks.
Although they could not see the light of day, they only stole from wicked merchants and nobles.
Some of the loot would be exchanged for food and distributed to the poor and people who were suffering.
In the lower areas of Wood City, the reputation of the master-and-disciple stealing from the rich and giving to the poor were very outstanding!
Although the governor of Wood City had ordered the pursuit of the master-and-disciple, due to the support and protection of the people, they were acquitted.
They thought that they could live such a carefree life forever.
However, eight years ago, Belinda’s master was attacked by someone and fell into a coma. She did not wake up for 15 days.
The hospital could not find any symptoms or any cause that led to her coma.
They thought her master was healthy.
Such a strange illness had attracted the attention of the people’s organizations specializing in breaking curse.
Belinda only found out about the terrible news after the organization’s inspection!
If she could not find the legendary ancient book, her master would be in a deep sleep forever!
To get more clues, Belinda came to the central city of the continent’s resources – the Heavenly City.

During a robbery of the treasures of a notorious noble, she was subdued by a Battle Beast.
That person was the current captain of the First Division, Miles!
After discovering Belinda’s exceptional theft skills and experience, Miles decided to keep the girl alive and to train her to become his team member.
When Belinda learned that she could receive other rewards for her service, she naturally thought of the materials needed to summon the ancient books.
However, the price was a 22-year-secret-service-contract. So, she had been working for the royal family until now.
“Whoa! I didn’t know you were a loyal person! Pretty cool!” Locke held a cigar in his mouth and enjoyed the cool sea breeze.
“Unfortunately, that kind of day will have to wait until 20 years later…” Belinda said with a bitter smile.
Even though she said that, Locke recalled how Belinda had tried to curry favor with him for the dragon’s blood and even seduced him on the plane. It could also be deduced that Belinda did not only want to find the materials but in the depths of her heart, she also longed for her own freedom.
This was something Locke wanted. They both hated being tied down.
“That might not be the case! What if I can help you find something in advance?” Locke placed his hands behind his back, appearing very confident.
Just as Belinda was about to say, “Then I’ll marry you”, their rings vibrated.
“It’s Captain…”
Belinda was afraid that there would be people from the Undead Legion monitoring her so she held onto Locke’s arm as cover and raised her other hand.
“Bauer is missing…” Captain Miles’ voice sounded.
This situation did not cause her to panic.
After all, when was the last time an agent was not on the line of life and death?
“Listen, Sean has captured Bauer’s last location. Since this afternoon, the Undead Legion will no longer be monitoring you. Secretary Peter and I are discussing other matters. Now, the two of you will be the ones to rescue him! Good luck…”

With that, Miles went offline.
Soon, a message was sent to Locke’s cell phone.
This was their team’s unique code. It translated to the location where Bauer had disappeared.
After reading it, the two of them naturally acted. They went back to the hotel, called a boat, and rushed to the location of the incident.
…
It was an alley with few pedestrians.
Bauer’s trolley fell to the side and the scene was messy.
All kinds of low-grade cigarettes and groceries were scattered on the ground.
“Bauer is the person who knows how to hide the most in our team. There has never been a flaw in the previous mission!” Belinda said what she thought.
If that was really the case, then it would be even more strange.
“We just encountered an attack in this kind of place. Someone must have targeted us. Who could it be? The Undead Legion?”
Locke shook his head. “If Bauer is as experienced as you say, then it’s even more unlikely! Unless someone knows him.”
Belinda understood Locke’s meaning. She narrowed her eyes and said, “Are you trying to say that it’s someone who knows Bauer who had attacked him?”
After nodding, Locke said, “It should be like this. Maybe it’s those two enemies.”
“The other two divisions!” Belinda quickly got the answer.
Then, she communicated with Sean through the ring, “Sean! What’s with your Golden Cloud Pigeon? Bauer didn’t even know that he lost it?”
“Beauty! I only have one Battle Beast, and coincidentally, I didn’t pay attention to that district. Quickly think of a way! I don’t have much combat strength!” Sean’s tone was full of helplessness.
After sighing, Belinda immediately summoned her Battle Beast.
A black ball appeared and immediately possessed Belinda’s body.
Very quickly, a black thing spread on her body until it covered her entire body.
Soon, a sexy beauty wearing a black one-piece leather suit appeared in front of Locke.
The mask on her face was also very exquisite and beautiful.
One had to say, Belinda’s figure was too hot!
Coupled with the slim leather suit, just looking at it could make one’s body burn with desire!
Locke tugged at the coat on Belinda’s arm.
Did this not feel like an ordinary leather suit?
“Don’t look down on my Battle Beast. This suit feels ordinary, but it can make me invulnerable! I wonder how many lives it has saved me!” Belinda puffed out her chest and was very proud.
The system interface also appeared in Locke’s mind:
[ Battle Beast name: Black Battle Suit ]
[ Battle Beast Grade: Purple Rank ]
[ Battle Beast attribute: Weaponry ]
[ Battle Beast level: Stage 5, level 6]
[ Battle Beast Talent: Infiltration ]
[ Battle Beast skill: Defensive Power. Night Shadow Flying Blade. Tracking. Night Speed ]
Then, Belinda placed her hand on Bauer’s cart, closed her eyes, and activated the skill, Tracking!
The scene played in her mind like a slideshow.
After about five minutes, she opened her eyes and said, “It’s those b*stards! I know the location!”
After confirming that it was the suburbs more than ten kilometers away, Locke summoned his Gale Wings and carried it on his back.
“Hmph! Your wind element is pretty cool too! Let’s compete and see who gets there first!”
After saying that, Belinda jumped onto the beam like a nimble black cat and ran forward at an extremely fast speed.
Then, she disappeared into the night.

However, on what would otherwise be an unremarkable night, everything he had ever known, the only people he ever cared for, and all of the plans for his future were destroyed. House Candor, one of the six great houses that helped build the Eldoran Empire had been erased from history. By imperial decree, all those bearing the name Candor were hunted down and executed as traitors of the Empire. With no home, no family, and only death waiting for him, Jayce decided to escape north to the uncharted Northern Territories to begin a new life. Forced into situations he was never prepared for and trying to cope with his past, Jayce tries to find safety in a place spoken about only in legends. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
