Chapter 222: 222
Chapter 222: The Furious Gustav
“Call me Bauer…”
“Sean!”
The other two were dressed in plain clothes and there was nothing special about their looks.
They were no different from ordinary workers.
If there were a lot of people on the streets, they probably were indistinguishable.
“Miles, Locke is an excellent Beastmaster just like you guys. You have to train him well…”
After the four team members had finished their self-introductions, Secretary Peter said a few more soothing words.
Locke’s induction was completed in just a few minutes.
However, the old gentleman still did not give a detailed introduction of his work.
Before leaving, Peter looked at Locke. “If there’s anything, contact me. But with Miles around, I have nothing to worry about. Do your best, young man!”
Locke was fine.
However, he suspected that the man named Gustav was in trouble.
Ever since that flirtatious woman named Belinda winked at him, the burly Gustav’s face was volatile as if it concerned him very much!
“Could it be? These two are having an affair…” Locke subconsciously judged.
“Come with me…” Miles said as he swept past Locke.
From the moment Locke saw the captain until now, there was almost no emotion on his face. It was like an iron plate.
Those who did not know would think that someone owed this guy money.
“See you later…” Belinda blew a kiss to Locke.
Gustav’s face turned even redder.
Coming to an office, Locke sat down and asked, “Mr. Captain, would you like to explain what we do here?”
“Pa!”
Miles lit a black stick cigarette, exhaled smoke, and replied, “Everything…”
Locke found it funny. What kind of answer was that?
“Of course, we only listen to the royal family. We don’t need to care about the rest!”
Then, Miles took out a file bag and placed it on the table, motioning for Locke to take a look.

There were many cases in there, all done by the team.
They included assassinations, stealing intelligence, guards, threats, hunting, and so on.
This was very similar to what the agents did in the movie.
“We… Only have one iron rule, which is to listen to orders. There are no rules on working hours and there aren’t too many restrictions normally, but you have to be on standby 24 hours a day! If you temporarily leave Heavenly City, you have to report to me and get my permission.”
“I have your contact number…”
After that, Miles continued to read his book as if he had already finished what he needed to say.
Locke was not the kind of person who had the mentality of a job seeker, wanting to curry favor with his superior everywhere.
Strictly speaking, he was not a person with a good temper.
Seeing the other party’s cold attitude, Locke put down the file, and without saying goodbye, he turned around and left.
“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang…”
The big man Gustav hit the sandbag hard.
He complained, “Isn’t it just a newcomer? Is there a need for all of us to come? Is the captain senile?”
Gustav flexed his muscles, intentionally or not as if he wanted Belinda to see him.
However, the blonde woman Belinda’s attention was not on him. She was smiling and no one knew what she was thinking.
Bauer and Sean sat not far away, drinking their coffee in silence.
“You’re here? The captain didn’t make things difficult for you, did he?”
As soon as she saw Locke come out, Belinda walked up and blocked his arm.
Locke was very sure that this woman was not wearing perfume.
However, there was a refreshing fragrance on her body.
If it was anyone else, they would definitely be aroused by this great beauty who took the initiative.

They would even feel embarrassed and nervous.
However, it was not as if Locke had never touched a woman before and there was no lack of flirtatious female celebrities among them.
Locke’s expression was calm and he did not care. He brought Belinda straight to the kitchen, preparing to make a cup of coffee.
“Wow, you’re really manly…” Belinda’s smile was very charming.
It was a fact that he was handsome and he was not a fool!
This woman was so proactive and it made Locke even more wary.
“Bang!”
Gustav punched through the sandbag and glared at Locke angrily.
“There’s a good show to watch…”
“Today’s trip wasn’t in vain…”
Bauer and Sean muttered as if they had expected what would happen next.
“Kid! You don’t seem to have greeted me? I’m the oldest here!” Gustav clenched his fists so tightly that they cracked.
Even a fool would know what this guy was up to.
“Ignore him, let’s go! I’ll show you around…” Belinda wanted to pull Locke away.
However, she realized that Locke had no intention of leaving.
Earlier in Miles’ office, Locke was a little unhappy.
Now, this big guy took the initiative to hit the muzzle?
Seeing this, Locke directly pulled Belinda into his embrace.
“Are you free tonight, great beauty?”
“Hateful…”
This time, it really made Gustav red with anger!
He roared angrily, “Let her go! Or else I’ll chop off your hand!”
“What? Are you his girlfriend?”
“In his dreams! A toad wants to eat swan meat!” A trace of disgust flashed across Belinda’s face.
Gustav had been pursuing Belinda and everyone in the First Division knew about it.
However, Belinda did not care about this simple-minded guy at all and had already rejected him many times.
This did not deter Gustav from harassing Belinda with his seniority and Belinda was not tired of it.
This was because Gustav’s strength was outstanding and his actions were overbearing. Bauer and the others did not dare say anything.
Captain Miles also did not have any intention of meddling in this matter.
If it were not for the fact that he had been forced to return to the office of the First Division today, Belinda would not have been willing to come.
She was annoyed whenever she saw Gustav.
However, after Belinda discovered the new member Locke, her attitude immediately changed.
“I told you to let her go!” Gustav did not pay attention to Belinda’s words and started walking toward Locke. The anger on his face became even more intense.
Belinda was also unhappy. “You b*stard! It’s none of your business who I’m good with! If you can’t stand it, get lost to your boxing gym!”
It was obvious that this woman was not someone to be trifled with. Her body suddenly emitted an unique aura.
“Belinda! Do I really need to prove my sincerity to you? It’s fine if this kid doesn’t greet me properly, but he dares to touch you! Let me teach him a good lesson!” Gustav was now focused on finding Locke to vent his anger on as he conveniently pushed Belinda away.
“Hehe…” Locke looked at Gustav with a disdainful smile.
“Locke! Leave this place first! Don’t follow this guy recklessly! He’s a famous boxer, he can kill a bull with a single punch!” Belinda’s previous charming appearance had completely disappeared and she had a worried expression on her face.
“Why bother with this kid? He has provoked this bull…”
“I bet 20,000 federal coins that this kid will only get one punch at most…”
“Deal…”
Bauer and Shawn’s fists lightly collided and it was considered as a bet.

He built and crafted with all his heart. Whether totemic nature magic, mechanical and alchemical factories, nanomachines, teleporters, alchemy, enchanting, mining, and farming, there were no ends. From the lowly stone age he moved reached levels of technology thought only imaginary and magic which made worlds quake. Things aren’t perfect though. Monsters and beasts fill the world, growing stronger by the day, a malignant force is ever present… And strange, bountiful ruins of all sorts remain scattered throughout the world, abandoned yet maintained by faithful servants. But what mattered most to Joey was the little black cube which not only redefined his worldview, but allowed him to transform the world into something utterly marvellous. The patreon linked to this account is not for this story. This story heavily focuses on crafting progression of both magic and tech, where in something is crafted to unlock a new resource or way to craft something better. Heavily influenced on games with such structure. As there is no backlog, chapter releases will be as written, which hopefully will be once a day but depends on progress made per day.

Deviant's Masquerade: The Huntsman's Quest (An Urban Magic Quest/RPG)
Jon Whitaker went to summer camp expecting a nice relaxing time as a newly minted counselor in training. He was not expecting to fight an army of monsters, work with a serial killer, enter a one-sided friendship with an eldritch horror, or study under a competing witch and dark lord. But regardless of what he was expecting, his summer is over and he's made his way back home where he can try and return to a normal -for him- life. Too bad life rarely goes as expected. --- Please Note: This is forum quest/RPG I run in the same city/setting as my other stories Hacking Reality and Get Ink'd, meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.
