Chapter 199: 199
Just as Gilbert was immersed in his own beautiful fantasy, Francisco broke the beautiful atmosphere with a cry of surprise.
“Father! Look, what is that?”
It was from the direction of the Heavenly Prefecture.
A figure appeared in the sun that was emitting a blazing light and had yet to descend!
Strictly speaking, it was a flying Battle Beast that was flapping its wings!
That strange shape made Gilbert even more puzzled.
“Do we still have Battle Beasts like this in Wind City?” He seemed to be asking himself.
As it was too far away, the first prince, Francisco, could not see clearly. He looked at the guards beside him and said, “Contact the city defense commander and ask him what’s going on! Are they his subordinates? This fellow has affected Father’s appreciation of the setting sun. Capture him and dig out his eyes!”
While they were looking at Locke, Locke was also looking at them.
“This castle is pretty big! The old man should be there right? It’s not easy to find him…”
To prevent any accidents from happening, Locke sent his friend back a dozen kilometers away. He decided to directly fly into the city on his Golden Dragon.
Right at this moment, the alarm in Wind City rang loudly!
The commoners immediately rushed to their homes. On the contrary, a group of Beastmasters was rushing toward the city gates.
At that moment, a few aerial Battle Beasts with cold gazes approached Locke!
There were a total of five of them! Although they were small in size, their speed was very fast!
The sharp feathers on their bodies shot toward the Golden Dragon like blades!
However, the defensive strength of a legendary Battle Beast was definitely not something that could be explained with statistics.
“Dang! Dang! Dang! Dang…”
When these feathers came into contact with the skin of the Golden Dragon, they were like weak nails that fell down one after another.

“Destroy…”
Locke would not tolerate such an act of using force without warning.
“Roar…!”
The Golden Dragon roared angrily and flapped its wings!
These five flying eagles were instantly killed! They landed like weak sparrows!
[ Battle Beast name: Air Falcon ]
[ Battle Beast grade: Purple Rank ]
[ Battle Beast attribute: Iron ]
[ Battle Beast level: Stage 3, level 3]
[ Battle Beast talent: Air Patrol ]
[ Battle Beast skill: Shadowless Flying Blade ]
“Whoa! Little dragon! So powerful! You killed it with just a few claws?”
In front of the Golden Dragon, rare-grade Battle Beasts were trash among trash!
They did not even need to use their skills to swiftly deal with them!
The five Beastmasters guarding the city gates on the ground felt their connection with their Battle Beasts cut off and their faces filled with terror.
The city defense commander, Lucas, asked, “What’s going on? What kind of Battle Beast is it?”
Although they could vaguely see the shape of the dragon, they could not help but feel a little uneasy.
However, from the bottom of their hearts, they did not believe that there was anyone on the continent who had such a legendary creature.
Naturally, they would not think of it that way.
The five Beastmasters were unable to determine what Battle Beast they had encountered for the time being and they were unable to speak.
Locke’s landing spot was a piece of empty land. As soon as he landed, a group of people surrounded him!
They looked at the Golden Dragon and unconsciously took two steps back.
“Who are you? What are you doing in our Wind City?” Even the patrolling Battle Beast in the air had been killed. Naturally, it could not be someone from Wind City. The city defense commander, Lucas, was sweating profusely.
No matter how Lucas looked at it, he felt that this Battle Beast was a dragon but it was impossible!

This kind of thing had always been elusive and it was very difficult to find!
As a Battle Beast, there were not many people in history who could subdue it! That was similar to a fairy tale!
How could Lucas easily meet it? Could it be a dragon-like creature or a flying Battle Beast variant?
“Don’t be afraid! This is just a mutated dragon-like creature, that’s why it can fly!” This was his conclusion.
After hearing the commander’s words, everyone felt confident and went forward again.
Locke jumped off the dragon’s back, looked at Lucas and asked, “Where is the principal?”
After being stunned for a while, Lucas smiled and said, “Oh… That old thing? Maybe he’s being whipped by the King! His students have offended the royal family’s emblem! The instructor has been caught to take the blame! In a few days, his head will be hanging on the city gate! Hahaha…”
“Is that so? I wonder if the king that you’re talking about can hang his head?” Locke’s eyes turned cold.
“You! What nonsense are you talking about? How dare you be so disrespectful! This is a capital crime…”
“No matter who this kid is, kill him!” Lucas waved his hands and his subordinate immediately summoned his Battle Beast!
Now that Hobrick’s life and death were unknown, Locke no longer had any intention of enjoying the battle.
Moreover, these “trash” did not have the qualifications to battle with Locke.
The Golden Dragon began to move as it sensed Locke’s anger!
Its throat began to throb.
Just as these guys charged up with their Battle Beasts, a dragon flame that had been fully charged up shot out!
“Boom!”
What followed was the wailing of Battle Beasts and the miserable cries of Beastmasters!
This poor city defense commander named Lucas was buried in a sea of flames before he could even summon his Battle Beast!
The miserable cries of these fellows did not stop Locke and the Golden Dragon from moving forward. He walked in the direction of the castle at the peak of the mountain!
The battle that ended in an instant did not leave behind any video or information.
All Gilbert hated was for someone to disturb his fun. As for who that person was, he did not care at all.
Gilbert already had dinner with his two sons in the palace.
When Duke Freeman learned of the death of the city defense commander, he left the barracks and hurried outside.
The citizens of Wind City seemed to be under strict control.
When they discovered that there was a conflict, they did not even fight the people who were watching. Most of them hid in the basement of their homes.
Locke walked on the empty street and sized up the city. Strictly speaking, it was very prosperous. The Holy City had it, and so did they.
However, every time Locke turned a street, he would see a hanging head.
On the sign beside it, there was a line of words: “This was the consequence of offending a noble!”
Locke had never expected that.
In modern society, there was such a shameless punishment?
Surrounded by high rise buildings, this scene was too out of place!
Very quickly, a few people blocked Locke’s path. The leader was Earl Cook, who had just completed informed the royal family of what was happening.
The Golden Dragon behind Locke gave him a huge shock!
However, Earl Cook’s conclusion was very simple. At most, he was a good-looking dragon-like person.
“Who are you? Killing a guard is a capital offense in Wind City!”
Locke looked at the skinny guy. “Where is my principal?”
Cook narrowed his eyes slightly and asked, “You… Are Locke?”

The Solstice Wars
In the grey-cloaked cityscape of modern London, student William Whiteswift has two secrets: the Fae walk among humanity, and they are just as vulnerable as us. His childhood was filled with them; they spawned nightmares and episodes, dreams and obsessions. The nightmares remain, of course, but the fae are his normal. Now, he heals them, for William is gifted. When he saves a faerie -- a humanoid fae -- from an injury he can’t explain, William is forced to let her stay. Finally, he may have taken on more than he can handle; Ainsel could uproot his life in seconds. Instead, she cracks a Pandora’s box of mysteries: someone just flipped her home on its head. And because of that, she did something unspeakable. And somehow, she doesn’t want to hurt him. The longer she stays, though, the crueler his nightmares grow. Worse, governments hide secrets, too: they know of faeries. To them, all fae are monsters fueled by solstices and equinoxes. As the autumn equinox approaches, the culling agency COURT hurries to track Ainsel down. With teams across the United Kingdom and Ireland -- iron-strong despite the region’s history -- they are nearing success. A world away, their country wounded, the faerie leaders hunger for justice. In the looming shadows of war and of Ainsel’s mistake, can a human and a faerie protect each other against their own kind? Could their plight mend rifts between bitter nations and bitterer people? Or will it, like past attempts at peace, shatter? Quick note! I hope you all enjoy the Irish (Irish Gaelic) words here and there! All are defined or explained within the text. This is my chance to show off speaking it at least somewhat decently. Still learning. ;D -K
