Chapter 173: 173
Chapter 173: The Two People Who Were Shocked by the Dragon!
“Hehehe… Locke! As long as I have the antidote’s formula, you will never have the guts to kill me! You could, but then the Beastmasters of the Holy City will be no different from regular humans! Hahahaha…”
Armstrong’s arrogant look was really disgusting.
However, there was a ring of truth to his words.
If Locke wanted to kill him, this formula would disappear from this world with him.
Although Locke was not 100% sure that no one would be able to resynthesize it, it definitely would not happen in a short period of time.
A Beastmaster without any mana?
What was the point in living?
At this moment, the System’s voice rang out in Locke’s mind.
“Ding!”
[ The new quest is as follows… ]
[ Solve the poison that troubled the Beastmasters! Reward 2,000 Function Points! ]
‘Awesome! 2,000 points? This is the highest so far!’
Locke was ecstatic! However, he did not show it on his face.
At this moment, Armstrong let out another burst of shrill laughter!
Seeing Locke sigh, Armstrong became even more arrogant. “Come on then! Kill me! Hurry up and kill me! Let those guys become ordinary people! Do you really think that the Trent family are the only ones coveting this prosperous city? When the time comes and another noble family invades, I’ll take great pleasure in watching all of you die…”
Just as Armstrong was being arrogant, a figure rushed up.
A few consecutive punches landed on Armstrong’s face! His nose was bleeding and a few of his teeth were broken!
“Are you going to tell me or not? B*stard! Tell me…” It was Tristan who was angry.
It was not surprising that Tristan had spent nearly forty years in the world studying the way of Battle Beasts.

Just because of Ketchup, Tristan might not be able to summon a Battle Beast for the rest of his life.
Who would not be angry after knowing about this?
Tristan, who was usually gentle, was now furious from the bottom of his heart!
“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang…”
Another few punches landed on Armstrong’s face.
However, Tristan did not have much strength. Worse still, Armstrong seemed to be enjoying his punches. He constantly shouted, “Again! Again…”
Locke forcefully pulled the furious Tristan away.
“Please don’t be rash, instructor. The wounds on your face hasn’t recovered yet…”
Tristan’s face flushed red and he snapped, “Locke! This isn’t a joke! We’ve devoted our lives to raising Battle Beasts, and now that our ability to summon them has been taken away from us, I feel no different from a cripple!”
Locke looked at Armstrong, who was lying on the ground. Armstrong, who was still laughing maliciously, and said, “You assumed that I was sighing because I have no way to get the antidote from you, right? You’re wrong. I was only holding back since I was worried that you would be scared silly. However, seeing as you’re a perverted b*stard who doesn’t intend to speak, I must resort to this…”
Locke took two steps back. Locke was channeling his mana into his spatial inventory.
“Scare me silly? You’re delusional! There’s not a single torture device in the federation that I’m not aware of!” Armstrong refused to believe Locke’s words.
Before long, however, his smile froze on his face.
Tristan was even more surprised. He sat on the ground and stared at the thing behind Locke!
Tristan kept saying in his heart, “Impossible… Impossible! This isn’t real!”
A huge golden dragon with shining golden scales was looking at him!
“This… This isn’t a dragonkin… This is real! A real dragon!” The knowledgeable Tristan could tell from the Golden Dragon’s pupils that this was a real dragon!

Tristan felt both joy of seeing a legendary creature and fear of being devoured by it. For a moment, he did not know what to say and could not open his mouth.
At this time, Alice had already fainted from the shock. She was not mentally prepared to accept the legendary beast.
Armstrong’s shock was no less than Tristan’s. He had already forgotten about the pain caused by losing his arm while his body was filled with injuries.
Armstrong tried his best to lift his body and his mouth kept opening. He wanted to say something but he could not make a single sound!
“Roar!!!” The Golden Dragon’s roar shook the clouds in the sky until they dispersed!
It was really a dragon! This was real!
Armstrong had once used all his financial resources but it was as if he had obtained a real dragon scale!
Now, all Armstrong could see was the thing he had always dreamed of! As a genius scientist, he felt as if he was in a place filled with treasures!
Armstrong did not know what kind of power was supporting him to kneel. He crawled on the ground and slowly crawled forward…
Just as Armstrong’s hand was about to touch the dragon scale, a fist smashed toward his face!
“Bang!” He was knocked to the ground again!
“What are you doing? Your saliva is dripping on the ground! Isn’t it disgusting?” Locke had already controlled the strength of the punch earlier, afraid that he would beat this guy to death.
Armstrong knelt in front of Locke like a dog. He said repeatedly, “Lo… Locke! Please! Please! Just one piece! Just one piece of the dragon scale is enough! Give it to me! Let me study it! I’ll definitely be able to come up with a more powerful potion! I’ll give you any formula you want! Just one piece! Really, just one piece…”
Locke kicked him away.
“What a joke! Do you think you have a choice? Tell me quickly! I’ll consider letting you die a less painful death!”
Armstrong’s face was dejected. It seemed that Locke did not intend to let him go. However, if he died or even if he obtained the dragon scale, it would be useless.
The ecstasy earlier had caused Armstrong to lose his rationality and dignity. His legs were already fractured and he could not stand at all.
After sitting on the ground, Armstrong thought for a moment and looked up at the dragon with eyes full of desire. “How about this! Let me live! I’ll give you money! You can have as much as you want! Give me the dragon scales to study! Can you do that?”
Locke nagged at him again. He turned around and said, “Little Dragon, release that skill of yours and finish it quickly. I’m really disgusted by this guy…”
The Golden Dragon nodded and looked at Armstrong on the ground.
Then, a golden light flashed in its eyes.
Two light rings tied Armstrong up!
This was one of the Golden Dragon’s skills – Pseudo Halo!
Seeing that Armstrong’s eyes no longer light up, Locke reckoned that the skill had taken effect.
Locke asked, “How many people have you killed?”
“I don’t remember…” Armstrong’s lifeless eyes became stiff.
“Bang!”
At this time, one of the two light rings let out a clear sound and disappeared.
Locke knew that this was the effect of the Golden Dragon skill once the truth had been spoken.
At the same time, the final light ring also meant that there was only one lie left.
“Tell me the antidote to the ketchup’s poison!”
Armstrong was silent for two seconds after hearing the question. Then, he slowly said a string of names.

The creator of the Primordial Evolution Scripture, Jing Guanyu! The Primordial Emperor! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The inspiration for Book (brackets say roughly what I got inspiration from) Do note: I do completely copy anything from any books. All of this book is original and all the books mentioned below are simply inspiration that gave me the ideas in regards to whats in the brackets. It may seem similar (like with MW I also use the E-E-D cultivation but my definitions and cultivation realms are different from the inspirations) > Martial World (Cultivation Paths) > Lord Xue Ying (Non-Generic Plot) > Stellar Transformations (Unique Cultivation Technique) > Consuming Earth, Devouring Skies (Character Development) > Ancient Godly Monarch + Invincible (Martial Spirits + Own touch to this idea) > The Storm King + Lament of the Fallen (The Soul Realm/Soul Domain) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Final words: Ok, I will just say that there are several reasons why the MC's cultivation speed is so mediocre despite how "talented" he is. There are logical reasons and they will be explained when necessary. Just remember that cultivation speed isn't everything. Hope you enjoy. I will take constructive feedback and logical criticism. However, I will not even reply to illogical criticism, rants or salty people who got pissed off because the main character didn't get "that divine medicine" or "this divine sword" or whatever. Note: I have marked all 4 of the content warning boxes due to a uncertainty in how dark, gory, descriptive or traumatizing my story will get. Btw, the cover isn't my property but was gotten from a website on mythology (greek I think). IF they ask me to take it down, then I shall. IF NOT, then IDGAF. LOL
