Chapter 170: 170
Chapter 170: Multicolored Jellyfish Swarm
Jacques inquired and found out.
It turned out that the two of them had known each other for three years.
Their first romantic encounter was during a trip.
It was love at first sight.
Coupled with the fact that they were both orphans, in just a few days, the two of them had fallen deeply in love with each other.
However, upon learning that Diana was the Director of Security at the Federal Academy, Douglas realized that the family he worked for had done some shameful things.
A sense of inferiority rose in his heart.
One night, Douglas left her without saying goodbye.
However, Diana had never stopped looking for him.
He did not expect to meet her here.
“Diana… Let go.” Douglas was not a person who bit the hand that fed him.
No matter how bad the Trent family was, they were the ones who raised him.
Although he was opposed to his master’s actions…
He did not intend to end their master-servant relationship.
After pushing Diana away, he looked at his beloved and laughed bitterly.
Using the last dredges of his mana, Douglas summoned his Gold-armored Skeleton Squad again to carry him to Armstrong’s side.
Meanwhile, Locke saw his chance and cast Hurricane Piercer at Armstrong.
Armstrong’s waist was already injured by Diana’s kick, and thus, he was momentarily paralyzed.
Boom!
The powerful impact did not send Armstrong and Alice flying.
It was all thanks to Douglas, who had intercepted Locke’s attack together with his Battle Beast!
“AHH… !”
No matter how hard Douglas shouted, it was meaningless in the face of Locke’s strength.
Had it not been for his Battle Beast taking the brunt of the impact…
Douglas would have perished.
Bang!
Douglas crashed into a truck spat out a mouthful of blood.

“Why are you doing this?” Locke stopped his attack and looked at Douglas, who was sitting in a pool of blood.
Truly out of mana now, Douglas’ Skeleton Squad returned to his spatial inventory.
While Douglas was taking the blow for his master, Armstrong seized the opportunity to chug down a black liquid from the test tube in his pocket.
Soon, a powerful healing power washed over him and recovered his shattered bones.
The pain had disappeared completely.
He walked toward Douglas, who was about to faint, with a furious expression!
He stepped on his face again, “You b*stard! You lowly underground orphan! How dare you have an affair with the enemy! How dare you hide it from me! As your master, I hereby sentence you to death!”
This was not the only reason that Armstrong was angry. As far as he was concerned, Douglas was not using his full strength he was fighting against Locke. To him, Douglas’ loss was a stain on his honor.
‘All of this is Douglas’ fault!’
Armstrong valued his dignity over the lowly orphan’s life!
Locke extended his arm to hold back Diana, who was already stepping forward. “Don’t be rash, Instructor Diana, leave it to me…”
He used his gaze to direct Diana to look at the sky.
! ! ! !
For some reason, there was a group of colorful things floating in the sky!
Blue, purple, red, black…
There were all sorts of colors, and there were at least 70 of them!
They were flashing non-stop.
Under their round, umbrella-like heads, there were only slender tendrils.
Their unique appearance had set them apart from regular Battle Beasts. They looked like phantoms floating in mid-air.
“Jellyfish…” This was the first time Tristan had encountered such a lifeform.
Armstrong attempted to slice Douglas’ throat with a diamond knife that he had just taken out. However, just moments before he stabbed it into Douglas’ throat, Lil’ White appeared before him and flung Armstrong away with its tail.

After sending Armstrong flying, it teleported the now unconscious Douglas back to Diana’s side.
While hugging the bloody Douglas, Diana looked at Locke with watery eyes and thanked, “Thank you… Thank you…”
“You two should take him to the hospital. I’ll stay here and watch Locke’s battle…” Tristan was curious to learn more about the jellyfish Battle Beast.
Armstrong, who was injured once again, did not wail this time. Instead, there was a trace of joy on his face!
He seemed to be enjoying the pain.
After drinking another bottle of black liquid, Armstrong’s expression looked even more radiant.
Locke saw the expression on Armstrong’s face and muttered, “Pervert…”
Locke fired off another gust of condensed wind at Armstrong!
Armstrong raised his right eyebrow, and immediately after, the jellyfish in the air above him began to flash crazily like a warning light.
Their lazy impression they had given off earlier was now gone! They moved at breakneck speeds to intercept Locke’s Hurricane Piercer!
“What?!” Tristan’s eyes widened!
The jellyfishes were not blocking Hurricane Piercer.
Instead, they were absorbing Locke’s attack using their tendrils!
They were consuming the Hurricane Piercer!
Although the citizens were not Beastmasters, they could tell that the situation was unusual, and they gasped in surprise.
“Hahahaha… Surprised, ain’t you?” Armstrong caressed a few jellyfish that had returned to his side after their meal. He looked at Locke and said, “So what if you’re strong? My Multicolored Jellyfish Swarm will still consume you!”
It turned out that the jellyfish swarm was also considered as a single Battle Beast.
Multicolored Jellyfish Swarm. Based on its name, Tristan suspected that they were poison-type Battle Beasts.
Locke did not pay attention to Armstrong’s words. He was more interested in Armstrong’s Battle Beast.
“Kill him!” Armstrong ordered.
The jellyfish swarm’s tendrils had grown much longer!
They split into two groups and flew quickly toward Locke!
The first group of jellyfishes wove their tendrils to form a net to bind Locke.
Meanwhile, the other group of jellyfishes had turned their tendrils into sharp blades!
Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang…
After restraining Locke’s movement, the jellyfishes swarmed Locke and attacked him.
The citizens were mystified by the jellyfishes’ appearance.
“So mysterious…”
“No one would be able to survive this overwhelming barrage…”
“Locke must be in trouble! He isn’t retaliating!”
“I hope the Trent family wins…”
“That’s right! Then we can have all the ketchup we want…”
Tristan clenched his fist at those words.
However, with his mana core sealed, there was nothing he could do to them.
All he could do was pray for Locke to resolve the battle quickly. He took a step forward and shouted, “Locke! Kill the jellyfishes!”
Bang! !
A loud sound rang out from Locke’s body!
The jellyfishes were sent hurtling away by Locke’s continuous use of Hurricane Piercer!
The reason Locke remained stationary earlier was because he wanted to test how much mana could the jellyfishes could consume!
Just as he had suspected, they had an upper limit.
It reminded Locke of the spider Battle Beast from Daemon Fang.
However, since the jellyfish swarm was an epic rank Battle Beast, it was more intelligent than the elite rank spider.
Once it realized that it was full, it stopped absorbing.
It was afraid that it would suffer from backlash.
