Chapter 168: 168
Chapter 168: Gold-armored Skeleton Squad
The ketchup rain had ended.
Upon landing on the ground, Locke noticed Armstrong and Alice’s apparent confusion.
Locke explained, “I’m sorry, but I’m just not fond of ketchup, no matter how luxurious you make it seem…”
“Kill him! Kill him, quick!” Alice took cover behind Armstrong and shouted.
“You… Look familiar, what’s your name again?” Locke did not recognize Alice. Moreover, the ketchup splattered over her face did not make things any easier either.
Armstrong sized Locke up cautiously.
‘He’s as young as the rumors say.’
With a wave of his hand, Armstrong’s subordinates Battle Beasts had immediately surrounded Locke!
Judging by the faint purple glow on the Battle Beast’s bodies, Locke knew that they were all at least purple quality beasts. They were by no means weak.
However… That was only true if their enemy was not Locke!
Locke issued a telepathic order to Lil’ White, and immediately after, it leaped down from Locke’s shoulders and expanded in size!
After a short wind-up time, Lil’ White unleashed several Light and Dark Spatial Flashes at its enemies!
There was no suspense!
All the Beastmasters surrounding Locke, had, without exception, turned into ice sculptures!
Although rare rank Battle Beasts were strong, they were nothing in the face of a divine Battle Beast!
Realizing how strong Locke was, Armstrong immediately pulled Alice back and retreated, “Douglas! You b*stard! Where did you run off to? Hurry up and dispose of Locke!”
However, before Armstrong had finished speaking, Douglas’ figure was already standing between him and Locke.
The silver-haired youth was very tall and sturdy.
“Your opponent is me. I’m sorry for this, but I’ll apologize to you properly once you’re in your grave…”
Soon, 4 tall skeleton warriors appeared beside Douglas, and all of them were carrying large battleaxes and were wearing horned helmets!
They were different from normal skeleton warriors!

Their bones shone with a golden radiance!
Locke, was certain that they were an extremely rare type of Battle Beast!
“Orange epic rank…” Locke immediately determined the level of the monster.
“Yes… They are Stage 5 Level 9 Battle Beasts! I hope you can surrender peacefully. I have no desire to harm you…” Douglas knew how shameless this operation was, and he hoped that Locke would not be impulsive, because he felt that he had absolute confidence in winning!
Bang!
A bottle of ketchup was thrown at the back of his head!
Alice said angrily, “You b*stard! Don’t you understand what your master means? He wants you to kill him!”
After holding back his anger, Douglas looked back at Locke, and began gathering his mana. The 4 tall undead warriors rushed forward with their battle axes!
“It’s not a bad Battle Beast by any means. Unfortunately… “Locke’s eyes turned cold as he unleashed several Hurricane Piercers at his enemies!
The skeleton warriors were smashed into several pieces!
However, just moments after their death, a golden light enveloped their bodies, and they had returned good as new!
This was the benefit of owning undead beasts!
They could resurrect limitlessly!
Locke had learned about it in class.
It was not an exaggeration to say that, in terms of vitality, the undead types were undefeatable!
They were a unique type of Battle Beasts.
After all, they were never alive to begin with, so how could they even die?
Moreover, they could also spawn in groups.
Some Beastmasters could summon one or two of them at most, but others could summon over dozens of them all at once!
Moreover, all the undead Battle Beasts were considered to be a single creature.
It was a highly advantageous trait!
Furthermore, the gold skeleton warriors were definitely superior when compared to their peers. The probability of them hatching was very low, and as a result, only a small number of them existed within the Federation.

They did not know fatigue, nor did they feel any pain!
As long as their master had mana, they would continue to fight!
Locke remembered an incident around two hundred years ago.
Back then, the Emperor of the Federation was an expert of undead-type Battle Beasts!
His Battle Beast was a group called the Undead Legion.
It was precisely because of his legion of skeleton warriors that he was able to suppress the rebellion in the northern part of the continent and secure his position as the Emperor of the Federation.
Locke’s interest was piqued. Although he wanted to find a way to kill the gold skeleton warriors for good, he also wanted to experiment with them.
“Can you please focus on the battle?” Douglas reminded Locke.
Following that, the Skeleton Squad threw their battleaxes at Locke!
Whoosh… Whoosh… Whoosh… Whoosh…
The weapons did not fly about randomly. Instead, they attacked in a regular manner like boomerangs!
Moreover, they were extremely fast!
However, Lil’ Flame was already prepared for the attack.
It blocked the axes effortlessly.
Taking advantage of Locke’s momentarily lapse in attention, the Skeleton Squad clenched their bony fists and rushed forward!
Their strength and speed were considered top-tier.
Interested in their melee combat prowess, Locke decided to face them head-on as well.
After all, his long sought opportunity to experiment with undead Battle Beasts was right before him.
Realizing the situation had become chaotic, the citizens began to take cover.
“Douglas! There’s nothing to worry about, don’t worry about the citizens! I order you to use your full strength! Don’t delay any longer!” Armstrong was well aware of Douglas’ true strength.
After receiving the order, Douglas gritted his teeth as he was really unwilling to do so.
However, as it was his master’s will, there was nothing he could do.
His eyes began to shine with a golden light.
The Gold-armored Skeleton Squad began to transform!
Their golden bones immediately shattered into countless pieces.
Within the span of few seconds,
They had transformed into a towering gold canon made of bones!
The citizens who were still lingering around exclaimed one after another, “Wow! What a beautiful cannon!”
“This Battle Beast is really powerful. To think that it can form structures via its bones…”
“I heard from my brother in Gold City that this person is called Douglas. He’s the third most powerful existence in the Trent family…”
“I wonder if he can assemble other things? It’s really amazing…”
This was Douglas’ ultimate skill, Hellfire Cannon!
“Attack! My warriors!”
He roared furiously!
The cannon shot out several purplish-black rays of light!
They were extremely fast!
Even though Locke had already raised his shield of flames, Locke was still pushed back!
This was enough to show how powerful Douglas’ attack was!
Boom! Boom! Boom…
The light rays that Locke reflected had struck distant houses, and it caused innocent civilians to be caught in the crossfire as well.
However, they were unable to peel their eyes off the battle.
One after another, they found safe spots and hid.
Of course, the nobles who were afraid of death had long fled the scene.
After firing over twenty shots, Locke was still unharmed!
He was even relaxed enough to ask, “Can I borrow your Battle Beast for a few days? I want to study it. It’s a rather interesting specimen…”
Realizing that the move was ineffective against Locke’s powerful defense, Douglas ordered the his Gold-armored Skeleton Squad to revert to their original forms.
“Are you being serious? Is lending Battle Beasts even a thing?” While responding to Locke’s request, Douglas issued his Battle Beast a telepathic order.
The Gold-armored Skeleton Warriors transformed once more!
