Desir nodded .

As if she already knew the answer, Adjest nodded .

“I was sure this was the case . She only ever did what she wanted to do . ”

She spoke as if she knew Swan intimately .

“Did her mission succeed?”

“Thanks to her, many people were able to survive . ”

Adjest had never shared her past with Desir, so he had no idea what she was thinking about, nor what had brought this about .
