Chapter 322: 322
Chapter 322: A Hug
“You are back.”
“Yep.”
“Let’s go back then.”
Lin Shiru walked over gently as soon as Ye Xuan walked out of the space passage.
The two had a brief talk. Then they bid farewell to the guards here and left right away.
“Ye Xuan will definitely make Jiangzhou University rise.”
Seeing Ye Xuan and Lin Shiru leave, the guards here started to talk.
“Exactly. I’m afraid numerous talented students will want to get into Jiangzhou University next year.”
“I’m wondering whether Ye Xuan will achieve the Platinum level in two months for real, you know, just like what he said.”
“If he really can achieve that, he will rock when he takes part in this year’s Hundred Academy League on behalf of Jiangzhou University.”
Almost all of these guards were from Jiangzhou.
Although they had never studied at Jiangzhou University, most of them had a natural good feeling for it.
Whoosh!
At this moment, Ye Xuan and Lin Shiru, standing on the back of the Snowy Bladefeather Eagle, were flying to Jiangzhou University.
Lin Shiru wanted to ask Ye Xuan what he had gained on the Ancient God Plains, so she did not call the Sacred Divine Wood out.
Ye Xuan and Lin Shiru were standing together shoulder to shoulder, feeling the gentle breeze around.
The heroic spirit he had shown when he had just left the Ancient God Plains had been gone by then.
He was feeling nervous instead.
He had made a bold move to grab Lin Shiru’s hand before they went into the Secret Realm. He wondered whether she had been angry with him for that.
“Ye Xuan, how did everything go? Did you contract with any suitable beast on the Ancient God Plains?”
While Ye Xuan was wondering that, Lin Shiru turned her head to ask Ye Xuan in a gentle voice when they had flown out of the valley.
“I caught a turtle that I told you about earlier on the Ancient God Plains. If you didn’t find any suitable beast, I will show it to you when we get back to the university. You can give it a try.”
“You caught a turtle for me?”
Ye Xuan was surprised.
He did not expect Lin Shiru to do this for him.
He was quite touched.
Lin Shiru had always been so nice to him.
He felt like she was always considering his interests.
But what did he do for her?
Ye Xuan took a deep breath.
He decided he would try his best to repay Lin Shiru for her kindness to him.
He even felt even if he gave the Nine-Fold Beast Taming Elixir to her, it would not be enough to pay her back.
After all, no matter how precious the Nine-Fold Beast Taming Elixir was, it was only a thing.

How precious could a thing be?
“Well, so, besides that, all I have got is myself.”
“Should I give myself to her?”
Ye Xuan finally came up with a solution after turning over the question in his mind.
He thought it was an amazing idea.
Weren’t women usually willing to marry the man that saved their lives when they did not have any other way to repay him?
So, why couldn’t men do the same?
It was logical, wasn’t it?
Ye Xuan’s eyes lit up more and more as he thought about it.
“I asked you a question. What are you thinking?”
Lin Shiru said helplessly, waving her hand in front of Ye Xuan’s eyes.
“Oh, yeah. Yeah.”
Ye Xuan came to himself. He said with a smile, “I was thinking how I should pay you back for your kindness to me.”
“Yeah? So, how will you pay me back? Have you got the answer?”
Lin Shiru asked, amused by him.
“What if I marry you?”
Ye Xuan asked tentatively in a playful tone.
“Don’t make jokes like that.”
Lin Shiru gave him a stare. Then she said, “Tell me. What did you gain from the Ancient God Plains?”
Ye Xuan broke into a smile.
Observing Lin Shiru through the Tidal Treasure Snail’s Real-Time Map, he found her face was apparently rosier.
But he did not dare go too far.
He did not want to try too hard and scare her off.
“First thing first, I should graduate before thinking about other things!”
Ye Xuan made up his mind.
He decided he would try to graduate first after going back.
However, the thought of the graduation reminded him of the Hundred Academy League. It would not start until more than a month later.
More than a month, it was too long.
He was sure he would have achieved the Diamond level by then.
Or maybe the Master level. It was not impossible.
“Maybe I can propose to move up the Hundred Academy League after going back?”
Ye Xuan thought.
It would be possible if he offered the Beast Taming Elixirs to the organizer.
Despite everything, it was an opportunity to gain luck points.
Although it would not be a lot of luck points in the end, they would still be valuable no matter how few they were.
Lin Shiru breathed faster and deeper since Ye Xuan had not answered her yet.
She was a very calm person.
But she was really pissed off by Ye Xuan this time.
How dare he ignore her!
She even started to consider putting away the bedding in Ye Xuan’s room.
“Eh…”
Ye Xuan detected the aggressiveness that only men could detect at this moment. And he froze.
He threw a look at Lin Shiru in tension. Seeing her emotionless face, he finally came to himself. It took him a while to think about how to put the words. In the end, he said, “I gained a lot from the Ancient God Plains, but… But I don’t know how to tell you about it.”

“You don’t know how to tell me about it?”
Lin Shiru turned her head curiously.
Her anger was already gone.
Seeing Lin Shiru turn her head, Ye Xuan met her eyes. He asked, “What if I tell you I not only contracted with new beasts on the Ancient God Plains, but achieved the Platinum level, and even contracted with Platinum-level beasts?”
“And I can achieve the Diamond level anytime. Will you believe me?”
“? ? ?”
Lin Shiru blinked.
Then it dawned on her that Ye Xuan could be joking. Staring at him, she said, “I’m asking you a serious question!”
Ye Xuan was amused by the change in Lin Shiru’s expression.
Lin Shiru was really stunning.
“And I didn’t lie to you!”
Then he shifted his consciousness to release a dash of his Mind Energy.
“You…”
Detecting the Mind Energy that Ye Xuan was releasing, Lin Shiru opened her mouth.
But she just could not say anything.
Had Ye Xuan really achieved the Platinum level?
She felt it so unreal.
How long had it been?
And Ye Xuan even told her he could achieve the Diamond level anytime. She felt her heart was in her mouth.
She was on the Diamond level.
Despite the gains she had on the Ancient God Plains, it would take her about a week to achieve the peak Diamond level.
Did that mean Ye Xuan would catch up with her soon?
“Linlin.”
Seeing Lin Shiru’s expression, Ye Xuan said with a smile, “I have an idea. Shall we suggest the Education Bureau move up the Hundred Academy League when we go back? Otherwise, I’m afraid I will achieve the Master level in more than a month. It won’t be fair for the other students if I participate in the Hundred Academy League like that. It’s kind of bullying.”
“? ? ?”
Lin Shiru finally came to herself from the shock. Gazing at Ye Xuan, she said, “You are on the intermediate or high Platinum level, I guess? Are you still going to take part in the Hundred Academy League?”
“Of course!”
Ye Xuan looked at Lin Shiru with a serious expression. “It’s what I promised you. I will lead Jiangzhou University to go back to the peak.”
Lin Shiru met Ye Xuan’s blazing eyes. She did not avoid them this time. Looking at him, she said in a gentle voice, “Thank you.”
Before Ye Xuan came to Jiangzhou University, her biggest dream had been to make Jiangzhou University rise again.
By then this dream had almost been fulfilled.
In fact, no matter whether Ye Xuan took part in the Hundred Academy League or not, it did not matter anymore.
As long as Ye Xuan agreed to stay at Jiangzhou University after his graduation.
Numerous students would be willing to join Jiangzhou University.
That made her feel grateful to Ye Xuan for real.
“If you really want to thank me…”
Ye Xuan looked at Lin Shiru’s stunning face, and his gaze lingered on her lips for two seconds.
But in the end, he held his tongue. He did not want to die.
“What?”
Looking at him, Lin Shiru asked out of curiosity.
“Nothing. Just teasing you.”
Ye Xuan did not have the nerve to speak out the bold idea that had occurred to him.
He was afraid Lin Shiru would kill him with her cold stare if he spoke it out.
“Thank you, really.”
However, while he was still speaking, he saw Lin Shiru approach him suddenly.
She whispered into his ear, extending her hands out to hug him.
Lin Shiru’s voice, the soft touch of her body, and the faint fragrance of her made Ye Xuan hold up his breath. His heart was beating faster.
Lin Shiru released herself from the hug in a second. She went back to where she had been and turned her head, somewhat flushing.
“Hey, Linlin.”
Seeing that look of Lin Shiru, Ye Xuan grabbed the light blue belt at her waist and pulled it gently. “Could you do that again? I wasn’t prepared just now.”
Lin Shiru was struck dumb.
Then she turned her head to look at him. She said with an aggressive look, “What did you just call me?”
“Eh…”
Ye Xuan was petrified. He broke into a smile immediately and apologized. “It was a slip of the tongue. A slip of the tongue.”
Lin Shiru gave Ye Xuan a stare. Then she turned her head and looked away from him.
But she asked, “What else did you do on the Ancient God Plains?”
“Well, the others were all quite insignificant.”
Ye Xuan tried to calm down the butterflies in his stomach. He answered Lin Shiru’s question, “My cultivation level enhanced a lot. Besides that, I killed hundreds of Gold-level Beast Tamers from the Silver Blood Alliance and hundreds of Gold-level Beast Tamers from the Alliance of Ten Thousand Planets.”
“And I snatched two Legend-level evolutionary resources from two Challenger-level Beast Tamers from the Silver Blood Clan in the Four Saints Secret Realm.”
“What else? I think that was all.”
“Ah, no. And I also killed three Diamond-level Beast Tamers from the Silver Blood Clan before leaving the Secret Realm.”
“Those three really pissed me off.”
“Actually, I saw you there, so I went to see you. However, you left the Ancient God Plains as soon as I arrived.”
“Then those three guys told me since you had left, they would kill me instead. So, I killed them in a fit of temper.”
