Chapter 84

Take the fall .

Yue Ni defeated twenty men . Then she wiped her hands .

‘Young mistress,’ Tou Gian called .

‘What happened?’ Yue Ni asked .

Tou Gian was scared to say, because Yue Ni was in a bad mood since Hua Xi Tong’s illness worsened .

‘They’re all dead,’ Tou Gian said .

Yue Ni threw the knife into the wall . Even after a fight, she was still angry .

‘Do you think I killed them too?’ Yue Ni asked .

‘Young mistress, it’s not my place to question you,’ Tou Gian said .

Yue Ni walked back into the training room .

‘If you men can’t defeat, I’ll send everyone on a remote mission for a month,’ Yue Ni said .

The men were scared of the fifteen-year-old Yue Ni . They didn’t doubt she was Yue Gu Zai’s daughter .

Shu Tang Li called Tou Gian’s phone .

‘Hello young master Shu,’ Tou Gian greeted .

‘Where’s Xiao Ni?’ Shu Tang Li asked .

‘Young mistress is in the training room,’ Tou Gian said .

Tou Gian passed the phone to Yue Ni .

‘Little boy Shu Tang Li, I don’t need you to get involved in my business,’ Yue Ni said .

‘Then why did you send the letter to Yang Han An?’ Shu Tang Li asked .

‘Since you killed them all, it was a good opportunity to take advantage of the situation,’ Yue Ni said .

‘Come over to eat dinner tonight,’ Shu Tang Li said . ‘I’m cooking . I’ll send a driver to come pick you up . ’

Although Yue Ni was in a bad mood, she knew Shu Tang Li was worried about her .

‘I want to eat steamed fish, braised ribs, crumbed prawns, cheese and Dawson’s gelato,’ Yue Ni said .

Shu Tang Li was relieved Yue Ni still had an appetite .

‘I’ll have everything prepared for you,’ Shu Tang Li said . ‘I’ll see you tonight . Bye . ’

‘Bye,’ Yue Ni said .

Yue Ni remembered on her first mission, she was injured . Hua Xi Tong’s mum Hua Xiang Xiang saved her . At that time Hua Xiang Xiang was married to Wang Jia Zai and pregnant with Wang Jia Zai’s baby . Hua Xiang Xiang didn’t know Yue Ni’s identity before the alleged car accident . It wasn’t a car accident . Wang Jia Zai’s close friend Tian Geng Nian had sent someone to kill Wang Jia Zai’s family so Tian Geng Nian could steal Wang Jia Zai’s company .

Yue Ni was angry Ni Sheng’s members took a long time to find news about Hua Xiang Xiang for her to thank Hua Xiang Xiang . If Yue Ni found Hua Xiang Xiang sooner then she would have killed Tian Geng Nian and saved Wang Jia Zai’s family .

Yue Ni knew when Shu Tang Li investigated Hua Xi Tong’s family background, Shu Tang Li found out about Tian Geng Nian and he sent someone to kill Tian Geng Nian’s family . It was a coincidence Tian Geng Nian’s family lived next door to Yang Han An .

After the night Tian Geng Nian’s family was killed, Yang Han An avoided Zhen Wu . At night Yang Han An heard a baby’s cry . In the mornings Yang Han An went to see a counsellor .

Yang Han An returned to her parents’ home after a counselling session . She was scared to see Zhen Wu visited her parents’ home .

‘What are you doing here?’ Yang Han An asked .

Zhen Wu politely nodded his head at Tan Xu Er .

‘Mrs Yang, I hope you’ll keep your promise,’ Zhen Wu said .

‘What do you mean?’ Yang Han An asked Zhen Wu .

Yang Han An looked at Tan Xu Er’s face that looked like Zhen Wu said something to Tan Xu Er before to make Tan Xu Er cry .

‘What did you say to my mum?’ Yang Han An asked . ‘I’m the one who loved you . It has nothing to do with my mum . I don’t love you anymore . Leave my family out of this . Why did you and your family threaten my family?’

Yang Han An was wrong to love someone from a rich and powerful family . Zhen Wu and Yue Ni were cruel siblings .

‘Xiao An, don’t say anything,’ Tan Xu Er said . ‘This has nothing to do with you . It’s all my fault . ’

‘Mum, it’s my fault,’ Yang Han An said . ‘I should have listened to you . I’ll make him and his family to leave you alone . ’

‘Xiao An, let’s go back to the U . S . ,’ Tan Xu Er said .

Tan Xu Er held onto Yang Han An’s hand to stop her from running after Zhen Wu .

‘Why?’ Yang Han An asked .

Yang Hua transferred companies because Tan Xu Er wanted to return to her city . Yang Han An didn’t understand why Tan Xu Er suddenly wanted their family to go back to the U . S .

‘Xiao An, don’t ask,’ Tan Xu Er said . ‘This isn’t a place we should stay . ’

Tan Xu Er was wrong . She thought after many years, she could return to the city she grew up in .

‘No,’ Yang Han An said . ‘I’m staying here . ’

Yang Han An ran to the front door, and she held onto Zhen Wu’s arm .

‘Did you threaten my mum to leave?’ Yang Han An asked . ‘I don’t love you . You can marry whoever you want . I won’t bother you . Why are you making my family leave? Why can’t I stay here?’

‘I’m sorry,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘I can’t let a woman who hurt my mum deeply to stay here . ’

Zhen Wu loved Zhen Zhen . Zhen Zhen didn’t mind, but he disagreed . He didn’t want anyone to make his mum remember painful memories . Tan Xu Er shouldn’t have returned if she left many years ago .

‘Your mum?’ Yang Han An asked . ‘What does your mum has to do with this?’

‘Mrs Yang, I’m sorry,’ Zhen Wu said .

Zhen Wu pulled his arm out of Yang Han An’s hand and he walked out the door .

Yang Han An turned around, Tan Xu Er was crying .

‘Mum, what is going on?’ Yang Han An asked .

Tan Xu Er confessed everything she did to separate Yue Gu Zai and Zhen Zhen when Yue Gu Zai lost him memories .

‘Mum we didn’t do anything wrong,’ Yang Han An said . ‘What’s so wrong about you loving Yue Gu Zai? You saved Yue Gu Zai’s life, why do you have to leave? Why aren’t they the ones who have to leave? The Yue family are unreasonable people . ’

‘Xiao An, they have ways to make me leave once so they can make me leave a second time,’ Tan Xu Er said . ‘Xiao An, I’m sorry . It’s all my fault . I shouldn’t have been naive to think I can come back here after many years like nothing happened . ’

‘Mum, what are you saying?’ Yang Han An asked . ‘We don’t have to leave . Zhen Wu’s little sister killed our neighbors . We’ll report her to the police . ’

Tan Xu Er covered Yang Han An’s mouth .

‘Xiao An, don’t say nonsense,’ Tan Xu Er said .

Yang Han An pulled Tan Xu Er’s hand away from her mouth .

‘Mum, I’m not lying,’ Yang Han An said . ‘That night, Zhen Wu’s little sister sent me the letter . We can give it to the police as evidence . ’

‘Xiao An, it’s useless,’ Tan Xu Er said . ‘We can’t win against them . In two days we’ll fly back to the U . S . ’

‘What about dad?’ Yang Han An asked . ‘Dad transferred companies here for you . What are you going to say to dad…’

Yang Hua arrived home and he slammed the door shut .

‘Yang Hua, you’re home,’ Tan Xu Er said . ‘I haven’t cooked dinner . I’ll go cook dinner now . ’

If Yang Hua didn’t come home early then he wouldn’t have heard Tan Xu Er’s confession . He loved Tan Xu Er for many years, but Tan Xu Er loved another man . At work he received an anonymous phone call from a man who told him about Tan Xu Er’s past . He didn’t believe the man until he heard Tan Xu Er’s confession . He doubted Yang Han An was his daughter . He wasted many years loving Tan Xu Er and Yang Han An .

Yang Hua turned around and left . Tan Xu Er sat on the floor .

‘Mum…’ Yang Han An called .

Yang Han An had never seen Yang Hua looked at her and Tan Xu Er like he wanted to kill them . Yang Han An hated Zhen Wu, she hated Yang Hua and she hated everyone who hurt her and Tan Xu Er .

Yang Han An called the police and she reported Yue Ni for killing Tian Geng Nian’s family .

At the Shu Mansion, Shu Tang Li received a phone call from a Tan Lang’s gang member while he was making gelato using Dawson’s recipe . He licked his fingers, and smiled . He didn’t understand how Yue Ni could love eating sweets .

‘Did she actually called the police?’ Shu Tang Li asked . ‘Go find someone to take the fall . ’

Shu Tang Li ended the call . He put the gelato in the freezer, and continued to make Yue Ni’s favorite dishes .

At the Yue Mansion, Yue Gu Zai asked Zhen Wu to talk privately in the study room .

‘Zhen Wu, did you go see Tan Xu Er?’ Yue Gu Zai asked .

‘Dad, she hurt mum deeply,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘I don’t want mum to remember painful memories . Xiao Ni was a baby, but I know what mum went through when we thought you were dead . ’

‘Zhen Wu, I’m angrier at myself for forgetting your mum that year,’ Yue Gu Zai said . ‘I didn’t expect so many people to be involved in this . ’

‘Dad, you know Xiao Li wouldn’t let anyone hurt little sister,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘I don’t want mum to know what Xiao Li and little sister did . Dad, do you disagree?’

‘No,’ Yue Gu Zai said . ‘Zhen Wu, I heard you want to marry Lucy soon . ’

‘Dad, I want to marry Lucy soon,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘I want to be with her and keep her safe . ’

‘Zhen Wu, you and Lucy have my blessing,’ Yue Gu Zai said . ‘Go talk to your mum . ’

‘Thank you dad,’ Zhen Wu said .
