Chapter 83

Surprise .

For three days Yang Han An followed Zhen Wu around the campus . Zhen Wu thought she was annoying like Xiao Jiang .

‘Stop following me,’ Zhen Wu said .

‘This is the first time you spoke to me in three days,’ Yang Han An said .

‘You’re wasting your time,’ Zhen Wu said .

‘I don’t mind,’ Yang Han An said .

‘I mind,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘You’re being intrusive . I don’t like you . Stop following me around . ’

Yang Han An had prepared her heart for rejection .

‘I don’t think I’m wasting my time if I got you to speak to me,’ Yang Han An said . ‘I’m not intruding on your life by loving you . ’

‘You’re intruding on my life if you make Lucy unhappy,’ Zhen Wu said .

‘Did you break my heart to make her happy?’ Yang Han An asked .

‘Yes,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘I only care about Lucy’s heart . Your heart has nothing to do with me . Stay away from me . ’

Zhen Wu would ask Yue Ni to deal with Yang Han An if Yang Han An didn’t listen to his warning .

‘If you go, I’ll jump off this floor,’ Yang Han An said .

‘Your choice,’ Zhen Wu said .

Zhen Wu walked away from Yang Han An . Her heart felt cold . She stepped over the edge, but someone pulled her back .

‘Who are you?’ Yang Han An asked .

Yang Han An didn’t know who the man was, but he didn’t look like a student from the college .

The man answered a phone call and he gave Yang Han An the phone to talk to Yue Ni .

‘Miss Yang, you’re not scared of jumping off a building but you’re scared of a living person,’ Yue Ni said . ‘Do you think my big brother will feel guilty you killed yourself because of him? Don’t be naive . I’m not merciful like big brother . Big brother can shoot a person dead with one bullet . I prefer to make a person lose hope before I kill them . Big brother loved big sister Lucy for years, he wouldn’t let anyone break up him and big sister Lucy . Even if you died today, tomorrow big brother would feed your dead body to sharks because you made big sister Lucy unhappy . ’

‘You’re lying,’ Yang Han An said . ‘Why should I believe you?’

Yang Han An hung up the phone and she stepped on the phone .

Lucy watched Yang Han An run away from her bedroom window . Lucy had loved Zhen Wu since she was a little girl . It took years for Lucy and Zhen Wu to be together . Lucy wouldn’t let Yang Han An disrupt their relationship . Lucy made a deal with Yue Ni, Yue Ni would make Yang Han An lose hope and she would give her little brother Hua Ti Tong to Yue Ni .

Zhen Wu walked into Lucy’s bedroom, and hugged her .

‘Zhen Wu, you’re here,’ Lucy said .

‘Let’s go eat dinner,’ Zhen Wu said .

Zhen Wu knew Lucy was the only woman he would love .

The next several days Wu Min Mei noticed Yang Han An was heartbroken after Zhen Wu’s rejection .

Yang Han An didn’t think she did anything wrong . All she did was love Zhen Wu who didn’t love her .

Yang Han An went to visit Tan Xu Er, and she saw cops next door to her parent’s home .

‘Mum, what happened?’ Yang Han An asked .

‘I heard the neighbours were shot dead,’ Tan Xu Er said . ‘The baby in the family was only one month old . The cops don’t know who killed them . ’

Yang Han An remembered Yue Ni’s warning, and her back turned cold .

‘Xiao An, you received a letter,’ Tan Xu Er said . ‘I left it on the coffee table in the living room . ’

Yang Han An walked to the living room . She opened the letter, stumbled back and broke a vase .

Tan Xu Er ran to the living room from the kitchen .

‘Xiao An, what happened?’ Tan Xu Er asked .

Yang Han An shook her head . Tan Xu Er grabbed the letter from Yang Han An’s hands .

‘Who wrote surprise on this letter?’ Tan Xu Er asked . ‘What does it mean?’

‘I don’t know,’ Yang Han An said . ‘Mum, I’m tired . I’m going to sleep . ’

‘Are you sick?’ Tan Xu Er asked .

‘No,’ Yang Han An said . ‘Just tired . ’

‘OK,’ Tan Xu Er said . ‘I’ll wake you up for dinner . ’

Yang Han An walked to her bedroom, and she received a phone call from Wu Min Mei .

‘Xiao An, are you coming home tonight?’ Wu Min Mei asked .

‘No,’ Tan Xu Er said . ‘Xiao Mei, tomorrow let our tutors know I’m taking sick leave . ’

‘I will,’ Wu Min Mei said . ‘Get a good rest . ’

Yang Han An hung up, and she received another call .

‘Hello,’ Yue Ni greeted .

‘It’s you!’ Yang Han An said . ‘Why did you kill them? Their baby is only one month old!’

‘I didn’t kill them,’ Yue Ni said . ‘You didn’t believe me . It’s your fault they’re dead . ’

‘No!’ Yang Han An said . ‘I didn’t kill anyone . I don’t believe you . ’

Yang Han An hung up the phone, and she cried on her bed .
