‘Helen, why did you run away from home?’ Zhen Zhen asked .

‘At a business function, William had a long cosy chat with a Mandarin guest,’ Helen said . ‘Zhen Zhen, married men are the same . Before William married me, he wouldn’t even let me carry key . After he married me, I carry groceries by myself . ’

Zhen Zhen didn’t think Helen’s problem was a problem, because Yue Gu Zai didn’t hold anything for Zhen Zhen before they were married .

‘Helen’s right,’ Nan Ma said . ‘Before Shu Tang Jue married me, he told me I’m beautiful every day . After he married me, he loves looking at profits more than me . ‘Zhen Zhen, why aren’t you in your lab?’ Yue Gu Zai asked .

Yue Gu Zai took off his clothes to shower . Zhen Zhen was depressed after she saw a lipstick mark on his shirt collar . Her husband came back from seeing his mistress .

‘Today I went out with Nan Ma and Helen,’ Zhen Zhen said calmly and stared at the TV screen .

‘Um, I’m going to shower,’ Yue Gu Zai said .

When Yue Gu Zai came out of the shower, the TV was turned off and Zhen Zhen was reading a book .

‘You don’t want to watch TV anymore?’ Yue Gu Zai asked .

‘The movie ended,’ Zhen Zhen said . ‘The movie was about a triad boss’ mistress wanting to become his wife . The mistress left a lipstick mark on his shirt collar, because the mistress wanted his wife to find out and divorce him . ’

Yue Gu Zai laid in bed next to Zhen Zhen .

‘Why did you watch such a rubbish movie?’ Yue Gu Zai asked .

‘Nan Ma said it’s common for underworld men to have mistresses in different cities,’ Zhen Zhen said .

‘Oh, are you saying Shu Tang Jue has a mistress?’ Yue Gu Zai asked .

‘No,’ Zhen Zhen said . ‘Helen agreed with Nan Ma that there will be a day married men will be sick of their wives and run off with their mistresses . Gu Zai are you sick of me and hate being with me?’

‘Zhen Zhen if it’s not necessary, in the future don’t go out with Nan Ma and Helen,’ Yue Gu Zai said .

Yue Gu Zai was angry Nan Ma and Helen was feeding Zhen Zhen rubbish .

The next evening, Zhen Zhen went out to a bar with Nan Ma and Helen . Zhen Zhen was depressed . Yue Gu Zai had a mistress . He was sick of her and hated her . He only married her because he wanted Zhen Wu to have a family . They’ve been married for years, but Yue Gu Zai didn’t say he loved her once . She was a bad wife, she couldn’t cook or do housework and she spent most days in her lab . Of course Yue Gu Zai would have a mistress .

‘Zhen Zhen, what are you thinking about?’ Nan Ma asked .

‘Last night, Gu Zai came home late,’ Zhen Zhen said . ‘I found a lipstick mark on his shirt collar . Do you two think he has a mistress?’

‘What?’ Helen asked . ‘Zhen Zhen, you have to confront your husband . Another woman’s lipstick on your husband’s shirt collar is a serious problem . I’m grateful at least William doesn’t come home with lipstick marks on his shirt collar . ’

‘Helen, what if it’s a misunderstanding?’ Zhen Zhen asked .

‘What misunderstanding?’ Nan Ma said . ‘Zhen Zhen, how often does your husband sleep with you?’

‘Some months once a week and other months he sleeps with me once a month,’ Zhen Zhen said .

‘Once a month?’ Nan Ma asked . ‘Your husband has a mistress . ’

‘Nan Ma, it’s not like that,’ Zhen Zhen said . ‘Some months I only come out of the lab one day . ’

‘Zhen Zhen, you being in the lab most days gave your husband opportunities to go out and see his mistress,’ Nan Ma said .

‘Nan Ma, why are you angry at Shu Tang Jue?’ Zhen Zhen asked .

‘Shu Tang Jue’s been calling that Japanese vixen behind my back,’ Nan Ma said .

‘Nan Ma, it’s a misunderstanding,’ Zhen Zhen said . ‘She lives in Japan . ’

‘So what?’ Nan Ma asked . ‘Zhen Zhen, if your husband who has been loyal to you for years suddenly has a mistress then it’s possible for Shu Tang Jue to have a mistress too . ’

‘Nan Ma is right,’ Helen said . ‘It’s common for cheaters to be from the same circle . ’

‘Call the owner here,’ Nan Ma said to a hostess .

The owner ran into the VIP room .

‘Mrs Shu,’ the owner greeted .

‘I want all your men here to serve us wine,’ Nan Ma said .

‘All the men?’ the owner asked .

‘Yes,’ Nan Ma said . ‘Don’t worry, I can afford to pay for all of them and I’ll give you a generous tip too . ’
