‘Who said they wanted to resign?’ Zhen Wu asked coldly .

The directors didn’t know who Zhen Wu was, and why Zhen Wu was affectionate with Lucy in front of them . They didn’t believe Lucy could do anything to them .

‘If young mistress Lucy doesn’t resign then I’ll resign,’ George Brown said .

‘George Brown, a forty-two-year old man,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘He worked for Dawson’s company since he graduated from college . He is the director of security . Since Dawson’s company bought a third party’s security software, it won’t make a difference if you resign . Who is the HR Director Wu?’

‘I am,’ Mr Wu said .

‘Director Wu, settle Mr Brown’s severance package,’ Zhen Wu said .

‘What right do you have to fire me?’ George Brown asked .

‘Mr Brown, don’t misunderstand,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘I didn’t fire you, you resigned . Everyone here who isn’t deaf can testify you resigned . Lucy is my fiance, she contracted me to be the co-CEO of Dawson’s company . ’

‘You’ll regret this,’ George Brown said .

George Brown stood to leave .

‘Wait,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘Guards, escort Mr Brown outside . Give him a body search, and don’t let him take any of Dawson’s company’s property . Mr Brown, you should understand this isn’t personal . This is a common protocol to protect the interests of Dawson’s company . ’

‘You!’ George Brown said and stormed out of the meeting room .

The other directors were silent after George Brown left .

‘Call Manager Robert here,’ Zhen Wu said to the secretary .

The secretary went downstairs to escort Robert to the meeting room . Robert didn’t know why the CEO wanted to see him, but he followed the secretary to the meeting room .

‘Sit,’ Zhen Wu said .

Robert sat in George Brown’s vacant chair .

‘If no one else wants to resign, I’ll start the meeting,’ Zhen Wu said .

The secretary gave out the reports to the directors .

‘Here are Dawson’s company’s financial reports for the last three years,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘Dawson’s company’s biggest investment in the last three years is the four hundred million dollar development site . I’ve contracted Hei Fen to oversee the project . Are there any objections?’

No one objected . The directors knew Hei Fen was a director at Tan Lang . They didn’t know how Zhen Wu was able to get Tan Lang to agree to collaborate with Dawson’s company .

After the meeting ended the baffled directors left the meeting room .

‘Big brother Zhen Wu, I’m Quan Wen,’ Quan Wen said . ‘I’m Lucy’s little brother . ’

Zhen Wu didn’t shake Quan Wen’s hand .

‘Wait for me in the cafe downstairs,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘I have something I want to say to you in private . ’

Lucy suspected Zhen Wu knew what Quan Wen did, because Zhen Wu was usually polite to others, Zhen Wu wouldn’t be angry for no reason .

Zhen Wu held Lucy’s hand and they walked to Robert’s office .

‘Young mistress Lucy, CEO Zhen,’ Robert greeted .

‘Congratulations on your promotion,’ Zhen Wu said .

Zhen Wu shook Robert’s hand .

‘CEO Zhen, I don’t deserve this promotion,’ Robert said . ‘I’ve only been here for a short time . ’

‘You’re the most suitable candidate to take over Mr Brown’s position,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘Talent has nothing to do with time . I’ve reviewed your business achievements . You’re a talented man . ’

Zhen Wu smiled at Robert, and he led Lucy outside .

‘Robert, who was that little boy who visited your office with Lucy Brenda?’ John asked .

‘CEO Zhen,’ Robert said .

‘Do you mean Zhen Wu?’ John asked . ‘Robert, you have to save me . Put in a good word for me with him . I have a wife to support . In the past I offended him . ’

‘Don’t worry,’ Robert said . ‘CEO Zhen only wants to deal with the directors who threatened Lucy . ’

Robert explained to John what happened during the meeting .

Robert received another surprise that day .

In the cafe, Zhen Wu sat opposite Quan Wen .

‘Lucy is my fiance,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘I don’t want any man to dream of stealing Lucy from me . I want you to move out of Dawson’s mansion tonight . According to grandpa’s will, I have the right to take back your twenty percent shares of Dawson’s company . If you don’t behave, I’ll do more than take away your shares and position at Dawson’s company . ’

‘You’re an outsider,’ Quan Wen said . ‘You’re not Lucy’s husband . You can’t make any decisions on behalf of Dawson’s company . ’

Quan Wen didn’t know Zhen Wu’s identity . Quan Wen thought Zhen Wu was a gold digger .

‘Lucy, don’t be fooled by him,’ Quan Wen said . ‘He only wants to use you to gain control of Dawson’s company . After you hand over your shares to him, he’ll break up with you . ’

‘Quan Wen, you’re not allowed to insult Zhen Wu,’ Lucy said .

‘Lucy, you don’t have to be angry,’ Zhen Wu said . ‘Quan Wen, don’t make me use force . Make sure you move out of Dawson’s mansion tonight . ’

Zhen Wu and Lucy stood and they left the cafe together .

Quan Wen smashed a glass onto the floor .

‘MF, who do you think you are?’ Quan Wen asked .

Yue Ni sat on Zhen Wu’s vacant seat .

‘Big brother Zhen Wu is the CEO of Yue’s company,’ Yue Ni said . ‘His godmother is the wife of Tan Lang’s leader and he has a loveable little sister, me . ’

Quan Wen looked confusedly at Yue Ni .

‘I forgot to introduce myself,’ Yue Ni said . She gave him a business card . ‘If you want to contest Dawson Brenda’s will, you can contact me at Yue’s law firm . I’ll help you keep your twenty percent of Dawson’s company shares . ’

‘Who let you in the building?’ Quan Wen said .

‘Big sister Lucy is my big brother’s fiance,’ Yue Ni said . ‘I can come here anytime . ’

Yue Ni opened her laptop and she showed Quan Wen footage of when he attempted to assault Lucy .

‘Take a look,’ Yue Ni said .

‘Impossible,’ Quan Wen said . ‘I erased this footage . How did you get this?’

‘I have a hundred backups of this footage,’ Yue Ni said . She waved the CD in front of Quan Wen . ‘If you don’t behave, this footage will be sent to everyone at Dawson’s company and you’ll be disgraced . ’

‘You little bitch,’ Quan Wen cursed .

Quan Wen tried to snatch the CD from Yue Ni’s hand, but she twisted his arm .

‘Who are you to dare touch me?’ Yue Ni asked . ‘Don’t think because my big brother went easy on you, I’ll let you get away with hurting my big sister Lucy . Don’t you dare touch big sister Lucy again . If you do, I’ll make sure you’ll never walk again . ’

Yue Ni kicked Quan Wen to the floor . She didn’t want to waste her time on a scum like Quan Wen . She walked to the counter and bought an ice-cream cone to get rid of the bad taste of wasting her breath talking to Quan Wen
