Chapter 853: 853
Chapter 853: Foolishly Choosing Death
When Lu Zhou brought Yu Chenshu here, he had sensed Yu Zhenghai and Yu Shangrong through the marks he left on them. Both of them did not remove the marks. Both of them had also confirmed Yu Chenshu was not in the Sky Martial Court. However, both of them were still somewhere in the Guannei Circuit and had not returned.
Meanwhile, upon hearing Lu Zhou’s words, Yu Chenshu realized he was left with no choice. Just as Lu Zhou had said, even if he did not talk, Lu Zhou would still be able to find answers through other means.
“The puppet is dead so I have nothing left to live for.” Yu Chenshu sat cross-legged and placed his hands on his Dantian’s sea of Qi. He used whatever little Primal Qi he managed to gather with great difficulty to stay in the air. “I don’t need your sympathy.”
Lu Zhou sneered. “You think too highly of yourself. If it weren’t for the sake of the Thousand Realms Whirling cultivator, I would have slapped you to death a long time ago. Do you think I’d allow you to continue barking like that?”
“…”
Lu Zhou withdrew Primal Qi completely from Yu Chenshu.
Yu Chenshu swayed, barely able to maintain his flight in the air. He looked at the moon and the sea of fire in the Sky Wheel Rift Valley as he said, “I’m the Court Master of the Sky Martial Court. This will never change.”
Then, Yu Chenshu began to pat the dust off his robes with his bare hands and tidied himself as much as he could. Unfortunately, the blood that stained his skin was difficult to get rid of. Following that, he lifted his hand and smoothed his unkempt hair. Finally, he inhaled deeply.
After a moment, perhaps, Yu Chenshu was still dissatisfied with his current appearance so he looked up at Lu Zhou and asked, “Can you give me a piece of clothing?”
Lu Zhou ignored Yu Chenshu. How could Yu Chenshu care about these things at this time?
Yu Chenshu sighed and flew toward the back of the mountain range before he landed among the rubble and debris. He pulled out a long robe from somewhere and found a bottle of water. Then, he proceeded to wipe himself clean with the water before he put on the long robes.

Naturally, Lu Zhou was not afraid Yu Chenshu would escape. Yu Chenshu no longer had the puppet and was seriously injured. Moreover, he could transform Unnamed into a bow and arrows.
Nonetheless, Lu Zhou found it strange. What was Yu Chenshu trying to do?
After a while, when Yu Chenshu was done, he flew weakly into the air and returned to his original position.
Lu Zhou glanced at Yu Chenshu and shook his head. “Is this so important?”
“It’s more important than life and death,” Yu Chenshu replied.
“There’s a saying that humans are no different from animals who fight among themselves…” Lu Zhou suddenly said.
“Humans are vulgar creatures to begin with,” Yu Chenshu replied.
Lu Zhou asked threateningly, “Do you really think I won’t kill you?”
“It’s human instinct to fight to stay alive. However, what happens when we return?” Yu Chenshu could not accept his failure. As the master of the puppet that he was so proud of and a Ten-leaf karmic fire user, he could not tolerate failure.
Lu Zhou remained silent.
Yu Chenshu continued to say, “There are more than 100 cultivators imprisoned under the Sky Martial Court’s Literary Star Gate. They’re mostly members of the Sky Research Court. The Sky Martial Court only came this far because of their undeniable efforts, but…” He paused briefly and sighed as he shook his head before he continued, “There are no two people who are similar in the world. Even if all of them loved seeking truths, exploring the unknown, and shared the same interest, it’s impossible to make all of them listen to me. Humans can be kind, but they can also be evil. Some are kinder than others, and some are eviler. However, most people hover somewhere in the middle. These people… they were destined for great things. I have no choice but to imprison them…”
After Yu Chenshu finished speaking, he began to cough again.
Lu Zhou shook his head and said, “Jiang Wenxu of the Flying Star House stayed in the golden lotus domain for more than 300 years. He was even more extreme and nastier than you. In the end, he still could not stop the tide of times. Do you still think you did the right thing?”
Yu Chenshu said loudly, “He’s not worthy to be mentioned in the same breath as me. I just think people should be more obedient. It was never my intention to hinder the progress of mankind!”

“In my eyes, both of you are no different,” Lu Zhou said tonelessly.
“…” Yu Chenshu felt stifled by Lu Zhou’s words. He said, “Everyone wants to be stronger and stand at the top. There’s nothing wrong with what I did since I possessed the capability!”
“Alright.” Lu Zhou rested his hands on his back and shook his head expressionlessly, “Save your words for other people.”
“Wait.” Yu Chenshu raised his hand. His expression was unnatural as he said, “I have only one request; don’t let those people out.” Then, he inhaled deeply before he regarded Lu Zhou with a complex gaze and said before closing eyes, “You can do it now.”
There was no change in Lu Zhou’s expression. He did not even look at Yu Chenshu as he paced in the air and said, “After I see Luo Xuan and Sikong Beichen, I will send you to your death…”
“Unfortunately, I can’t return.” As soon as Yu Chenshu finished speaking, he suddenly turned around and pushed his hand out toward Lu Zhou with all the Primal Qi he had left!
Lu Zhou frowned and turned around to launch a palm strike. “Are you seeking death?”
The golden Abandon Wisdom shot toward Yu Chenshu.
At this moment, Yu Chenshu swiftly withdrew his hands to the sides, allowing the palm seal to strike his chest.
Bang!
Yu Chenshu was sent flying back. A muffled groan rang in the air before he spat out a mouthful of blood in the air. Despite that, a faint smile could be seen on his face as he said, “Thank you.”
As expected, the impact from Abandon Wisdom pushed Yu Chenshu into the sea of fire in the Sky Wheel Rift Valley.
After a moment, Lu Zhou received a notification.
“Ding! Killed a target. Obtained 6,000 merit points. Obtained domain bonus 1,500 merit points.”
Lu Zhou shook his head and sighed. “How foolish.”
This chapter is scrapped from readlightnovel.org
Most people think the common folks were stupid. However, the rules and order of the world were established because of them. There was wisdom behind their stupidity. For example, a beggar on the streets disregarded his dignity and pride to survive. However, Yu Chenshu could not even endure a moment of failure and chose to die instead. He was much worse than a beggar.
Following that, Lu Zhou turned around to leave. As he was flying away, he received a notification.
“Ding! Found the flood-grade weapon, the Confinement Seal. Do you want to retrieve it?”
“Retrieve it.” Lu Zhou raised his hand and the Confinement Seal flew up into his palm. It was like a steel paperweight now.
At a glance, the Confinement Seal’s current appearance somewhat resembled the Square Box. However, it was very clear that the Confinement Seal was much more powerful than the Square Box. Its abilities were better as well.
“Obtained the Confinement Seal. Grade: flood-grade. Owner: Yu Chenshu. Requires refining before it can be used again.”
At this moment, Lu Zhou recalled the Life-Siphoning Technique and the flag. He quickly flew to the place he had last seen it only to discover it had been long reduced to ashes. He did not think it was a pity that the flag was destroyed. In fact, he thought the thing was disgusting.
After that, he flew to the place where the Black Dragon Spear had fallen.
“Ding! Found the Black Dragon Spear. Weapon is damaged and cannot be repaired. Do you want to retrieve it?”
What a pity that it could not be repaired. Nevertheless, he still chose to retrieve it. After all, it might be able to be used to repair the Longevity Sword.
Lu Zhou looked at the spear and confirmed it was completely damaged. However, he found a fire spirit stone.
“Ding! Obtained fire spirit stone x1.”
This was not a bad gain.
Lu Zhou flew around mountains filled with corpses. Who knew if he might find some better weapons? Unfortunately, most of the weapons were earth-grade weapons or not even worth mentioning.
Subsequently, Lu Zhou made his way back to Cloud Mountain.
…
In a hall on the third peak of Cloud Mountain.
Before dawn, Lu Zhou opened the system and checked his merit points, item cards, and weapons.

Gods of Arkanoth
The hunter has been betrayed, left alone in the streets of a lugubrious district. Only one goal appears in his eyes: to avenge himself. In his quest to avenge himself, he'll encounter an enigmatic scientist who seems to hide his true nature, a savior pretending to be a God, and the terrible truth of those words, bringing him against something he'd never thought he'd have to affront. This is the odyssey of the hunter, in a quest to put a long overdue end to a war between two worlds. // What to expect:The beginning will surely be intriguing, most of what's happeing won't be directly explained, although there will be some hints about their true roles, but do not worry about some subjects never leaving that misty fog that is unanswered questions! The novel is divided in two parts, the first focusing on uncovering the well-hidden secrets the city of Arkanoth hides, be it concerning its making or its inhabitants. As for the second part, it will be an expedition into the unknown, we could, in a way, say the true start of the journey our three heroes will undertake! I won't say anything more about the second part or else I might tell you an important detail without realizing... As for magic, because yes, there is magic! Although you might not see the shadow of a spell in the first chapters, it will appear in later chapters and will be one of the main subjects of volume 2. There are three heroes, yes, but they will not appear directly. While the first two protagonists appear in quite the beginning, the third will take his time, taking some stroll in the Districts of Arkanoth while we focus on the story of the hunter. But that does not lessen his importance in the story a bit, trust me. What about these three heroes, you say? Well, they all have their own issues, from their character to their torments, and as the story progresses they will have to come clean with their past (character development is to be expected) and will find their reason for fighting, braving all odds. I draw my inspiration from mythology, more precisely Aztec mythology. I want to stay true to a certain extent about it and all the relations between the gods and their role, however I will still change some things to my liking, so do not expect for all of the mythology to be respected to the letter. Finally! I have to say English is a foreign langage for me, so I might not choose the best words or straight-up miswrite something, if it bothers your experience, just tell me in the comments and I'll look into it! It is also my first time writing a book, so some parts might seem sloppy, but I hope I will be able to improve throughout this journey so as to give the most enjoyable reading experience to you. // Who might enjoy this story: Firstly, if you like deep lore and stories in which past plays a big role, you will like how everything unravels to show the hidden truths of the world. However if you do not appreciate not instantly understanding what's happening or who - or even what - this person might be, then you might not appreciate the story. There will be disturbing and gore descriptions, so if you're sensitive, don't like reading about someone being beheaded and such, you should probably pass this one. There is strong langage, although I won't abuse it, I won't be lying saying no insults will appear. Finally, the heroes will not always win, they will sometime lose battles, be it important ones or unimportant, and they will, most of the time, not come out unscathed from those. // Time Schedule : once every two sundays at 7:pm Ps : feel free to tell me if something is bad, or feel wrong with the book, it really helps me. I've written till' chapter 4 (in my mother tongue, so I'll still have to translate), however I'll make some minor and major changes, thus it will take some time to post them. Schedule will probably not change after releasing chapter 4, so don't worry, it won't take even longer to post a chapter than it already is. Enjoy the ride :)
