Chapter 552: 552
Chapter 552: Bounties!
Jiang He lived his next few days meaningfully, harvesting ripe medicinal pellets and mystic treasures every six hours.
After he had planted over millions of demonic and godly weapons, not only were the grade of the items improved significantly, but each was also altered fundamentally so that cultivators could use them.
Soon, a week had passed.
With that, all the medicinal pellets and mystic treasures that were looted from the Gods and Demons’ celestial battlefield bases were planted.
Inside the courtyard of the Chinese-style mansion at a corner of his Farm, Jiang He was leaning on a cane chair beneath the Old Tea Tree of Enlightenment.
Glancing at his System, he sighed. “I still need a few hundred billion Farm Points to improve up to Demi-Saint… but I’m out of medicinal pellets and mystic treasures.”
“Trumbo!”
Calling his cat to him, Jiang He asked, “Are you done sorting it out?”
“Yes, Master. The inventory had been completed.”
Trumbo was usually the one sorting and making inventory of most medicinal pellets and mystic treasures, whereas Jiang He was usually in charge of harvesting from the distance—he would simply wave his hand from the distance, letting out a gust of immortal yuan strength to gather a truckload of items.
Taking out three Spatial Rings, Trumbo said, “There are 1.8 million mediocre-grade immortal items, 700,000 superior-grade immortal items, 300,000 premium-grade immortal items, and 18,000 inferior-grade acquired soul treasures.”
“There’s also 2.8 million rank-three immortal pellets, three million rank-four immortal pellets, 600,000 rank-five immortal pellets, and 300,000 rank-seven immortal pellets.”
“That few?”
Jiang He was a little upset.
That was less than the Jade Emperor’s treasure vaults.
Still, that made sense since the Jade Emperor had emptied his vaults for Jiang He. On the other hand, everything he had looted from the Gods and Demons was merely a portion of what those two races had stored in their bases, and he had certainly looted them dry.
“Dumbo, go with Trumbo and bring these treasures along. Ask for Zhao Gongming, and tell him that you have a trade to make with them.”
“We’ll trade medicinal pellets for medicinal pellets, and mystic treasures for mystic treasures.”
“Each trade will be conducted at a ratio of 10:1 for medicinal pellets and 2:1 for mystic treasures.”
“But…”
Dumbo hesitated for several seconds and persuaded, “Master, the Jie Sect would give face even if you trade everything at a 1:1 ratio…10:1 for medicinal pellets and 2:1 for mystic treasures? Isn’t that giving things off cheap for the Jie Sect?”
“So you did learn how to count.”
Jiang He could not help chuckling. “That said, there’s nothing cheap about this… we now have ten Spatial Rungs filled to the brim with medicinal pellets and mystic treasures, and the accumulated resources is sufficient to build a legion of ten million immortals. We’re basically as rich as some of the middling races now.”
“That’s not all.”
Trumbo interrupted seriously, “Your riches are sufficient to build an army of thirty million immortals, master. On the other hand, for the so-called middling races refers to races like Stoners that had no Saints, but have more than two Demi-Saints—you are probably richer than those races, Master.”

“Others aside, middling races without grandmasters in item refinement would never boast the number of soul treasures you have, Master.”
Right now, Jiang He had dozens of thousands of acquired soul treasures.
Of course, he did not have that many mediocre or superior-grade soul treasures, and just a handful of premium-grade acquired soul treasures… but he still had almost ten thousand inferior-grade acquired soul treasures!
That stuff was simply worthless to him now.
After all, each premium-grade immortal items just needed to be fertilized with Living Soil of the Nine Heavens, planted in his farm… and three hours later, it would become an inferior-grade acquired soul treasure.
“I’m that rich already?”
Jiang He gasped in surprise, but soon shook his head, saying, “As I am now, only premium-grade acquired soul treasures or innate soul treasures are useful for me. Ordinary acquired soul treasures are no different from scrap metal.”
“It would be better to arm average cultivators of the Three Realms so that they have a greater chance of winning in fights against Gods and Demons cultivators… huh…”
An idea occurred to Jiang He right then.
He had Dumbo and Trumbo trade for new resources with the medicinal pellets and mystic treasures they had, while he sought out the Daoist of Many Treasures in his luxurious hole.
The man was sucking a lollipop when Jiang He found him, and that lollipop turned out to be one of the more special-shaped Dao Enlightenment Pellets included in the five buckets Jiang He had given him.
“Oh!”
The Daoist of Many Treasures’ eyes lit up when he saw Jiang He, and promptly stood up to welcome him with a smile. “Is your seclusion over already, Brother Jiang He? How did it went?”
“It fell a little short.”
Jiang He replied, and cut to the chase without further ado. “Brother Many Treasures, I’ve actually come to ask you about something today.”
“What’s the matter?”
The Daoist of Many Treasures flashed his signature ‘silly’ smile.
“Aside from Gods, Demons and their vassal races, are there any other races that was a part of the Demi-Saints which hunted me?”
Jiang He made a face as he searched his mind, saying, “At the time, I used my array to blow up over a dozen Demi-Saints, though at the cost of around 300 slaves that could match Grand Luo. That is why I wanted to get even by making a mess of the Gods and Demons’ bases, but I didn’t think that I was ambushed, and was too focused on getting away to identify the ones hunting me down.”
“Of course, I’m not very familiar with the Demi-Saints of the various foreign races to tell who they are or what races they belong to.”
“Just as I was going to seclude myself for cultivation, I suddenly remembered that several neutral Demi-Saints joined the battle just outside our base?”
The Daoist of Many Treasures nodded. “Aside from the Gods, Demons and their vassal races, there were also Demi-Saints from the machine race, insectoids, and cosmic behemoths that hunted you.”
“We had the advantage once Senior Brother Xuan Du slayed the Stoner, and were about to kill every last one of them…”

The Daoist of Many Treasures sighed listlessly at that. “It’s a shame that Saints of the Gods, Demons, machine race, and insectoids all showed up right then, and we had to stop fighting.”
“The machine race and insectoids weren’t neutrals?”
Jiang He frowned in confusion. “Forget throwing their Demi-Saints at us… even their Saints stepped up? Aren’t they afraid that the Three Realms would wage war against them? If I remember correctly, neither of their races are that strong in ability.”
The machine race and insectoids were hegemons of the universe, but there was a difference in strength when it came to hegemon races too.
Most races with Saints could be considered hegemons—indeed, the top twenty races of the universes all had Saints.
For example, the Three Realms had six Saints, whereas the Gods and Demons both had four.
On the other hand, the machine race and the insectoids each had two, despite being hegemons themselves.
This chapter is scrapped from readlightnovel.org
That was what Jiang he found unbelievable.
When did those two races get so gutsy?
How dare they send people after himself?
Were they not afraid of the Three Realms’ revenge?
The Daoist of Many Treasures chuckled. “The machine race and insectoids naturally fear the Three Realms. However, they would have twelve Saints altogether if they pooled their forces with the Gods and Demons, which is twice the number of Three Realms Saints even if they were less capable individually…”
“Of course, the Saints of the machine race and insectoids had also made clear that they were not aware of their Demi-Saints’ part in hunting you. They would therefore maintain their neutrality, and punish their Demi-Saints in return.”
Hehe.
Jiang He was most amused.
Punished?
“On that day, I would have been killed if I wasn’t that great at running away… and the machine race and insectoids think that they could get away with that using the excuse of ‘punishment’?”
The Daoist of Many Treasures sighed. “There’s no helping it—the Saints would never wage a war against each other without absolute advantage, because a Saint War that lasts too long would inflict inestimable damage to all worlds.”
“If a Saint War is impossible, what about those beneath Saints?”
Jiang He’s eyes twitched as he said somberly, “Right now, the ranks of Grand Luo and Demi-Saints belonging to the Gods, Demons, and their vassal races are depleted. Would they dare to send reinforcements to help the machine race and insectoids if we attacked them with our Grand Luo and Demi-Saints?”
The Daoist of Many Treasures had a twinkle in his eyes then.
Still, he quickly said, “War means casualties, and neither the Demi-Saints nor Grand Luo of the Three Realms would agree to it… most of them would not agree that it is necessary to eliminate the machine race and insectoids either.”
“Moreover… not even the Six Saints would agree to it as well, since they are still neutral races in appearance.”
“How the hell are they still neutral?”
Jiang He shot him a glare, saying, “I’ll go myself if the Six Saints won’t agree to it… ever since I started cultivating, I’ve never allowed any enemy that hunted me to walk away unscathed… I’ll avenge myself even if the Six Saints won’t agree!”
“It doesn’t matter if the Demi-Saints and Grand Luo refuse to help either… with a prize comes heroes, and I’ll pay dozen thousands of soul treasures as a reward… eh?”
Jiang He’s face erupted in delight right then as he exclaimed, “I can post bounties right now… Brother Many Treasures, are there any universal channels to post bounties? I’ll post the bounties on the machine race and insectoids right now…”
“One set of premium-grade immortal items will be given for any Golden Immortal machine race and insectoids killed.”
“One set of inferior-grade acquired soul treasure for any Grand Luo machine race and insectoids killed.”
“As for any Demi-Saint machine race and insectoids killed, I’ll be giving out a set of premium-grade acquired soul treasures and 50 inferior-grade acquired soul treasures… of course, the bounty also applies to any God or Demon of the same tier!”
Jiang He smiled fearsomely. “I’ll never believe all the untitled cultivators across all worlds would be unmoved!”
The Daoist of Many Treasures was left gaping and exclaiming in his shock, “All the elites of those races you’ve posted bounties on would be interested, let alone untitled cultivators… well, I’ll have my people send word right away, but note that the machine race and insectoids are famous for being too hard to kill. Moreover, the Gods and Demons have withdrawn all their kinsmen back to their respective realms, even vacating the celestial battlefield… the untitled cultivators might not dare to touch them.”
“Not a problem.”
Jiang He chuckled. “It doesn’t matter if any of them are killed—the point is to rattle them, since I’ll personally settle the score against them when I am able anyway.”
That was when a commotion could be heard from the outside.
The ears of the Daoist of Many Treasures twitched and he left his hole for a look, only to find many Jie Sect disciples running towards the distance. Quickly grabbing one to ask what was going on, the disciple explained, “A cat and a dog have just arrived carrying truckloads of medicinal pellets and mystic treasures. They are offering to trade with our own medicinal pellets and mystic treasures!”
Shaking with rage, the Daoist of Many Treasures snapped, “Are you Jie Sect disciples that poor? Selling our own medicinal pellets and mystic treasures?”
The disciple could not decide if he should laugh or cry. “But they are trading ten rank-three immortal pellets for just one of ours, and two superior-grade immortal items for just one of ours… there’s no way we could refuse something so incredible, could we?”
With that, he was gone like a puff of smoke.
The Daoist of Many Treasures swore a few times, and turned to find Jiang He nodding his head.
His eyes lit up right then and he said, “Brother Jiang He, I still have some soul treasures left… would you care to trade with me?”

The London Phantom: A Superhero Webnovel
London is an old city. It has survived floods, fires, plagues and the man-made smog of industry. It has stood firm against the armies of Vikings, Saxons, Normans and the aerial might of the Luftwaffe. It has borne witness to dynsatic feuds, civil wars, military occupation and the sin of regicide. Through all these disasters the city has survived not through force of arms, though its walls were once the envy of the world, but through adapting to the times. Enemies become dependant on the city, and the wealth of the world that flows through it, and so become new allies. If the rulers change, then the city welcomes them with open arms, and open lines of credit. In this way the city seeks to preserve its ancient rights and position of power. Superheroes are a new phenomenon. The first superpowered man walked out of the Nevada desert in 1950, and the world was forever changed. Across the planet, men and women with exceptional abilities made themselves known. At first, they were little more than another source of fear in the era of Mutually Assured Destruction, but over time attitudes changed and the concept of the Superhero was created in the city of Los Angeles. From there the phenomenon spread across the globe; superheroes went from being feared arms of the state to a symbol of hope in these maddening times. Times have changed. Sixty years from the emergence of the first superhero, the City of London stands on a precipice. Two years have passed since the madman Fawkes nearly brought down the United Kingdom and the remnants of the Bow Street Runners, London's premier superhero team, are struggling to keep order in a city that seems on the brink of collapse. London stands on a knife's edge, with criminal organisations that once stuck to the shadows becoming more bold, and ancient powers from myth and legend making themselves known. Alexander Laszewski has recently 'awakened' and has become entirely unremakable, effectively making himself invisible to the world. He must use his newfound power to navigate a city on the edge of collapse. If only he could figure out how to turn it off.
