Chapter 518: 518
Chapter 518: Wang Hou Is Being Hunted?
What?
The Jade Emperor was stunned. “You could do that too, Mister Jiang? Deducing the pellet recipe from a medicinal pellet?”
“Having known the effect of the Dao Enlightenment Pellets and the materials for it, all we would need is the refinement method, heating temperature and procedures. As a pellet refinist, using those elements to deduce the specifics of the pellet recipe is nothing difficult.”
“…”
The Jade Emperor appeared stumped.
What do you mean, it’s not difficult?
If it were that easy, then wouldn’t the secret pellet recipes of the various sects be reduced to a joke?
Moreover, the Dao Enlightenment Pellets were rank-eight immortal pellets.
It definitely was the most difficult to refine out of all the rank-eight immortal pellet, and even the ordinary rank-eight pellet refinists had a hard time making them even if they know the recipe… but right now, they could not expose Jiang He even if they were aware that he was bragging, could they?
Leaving aside the matter of the Dao Enlightenment Pellets… the fairy maidens of the Celestial Court were definitely devilishly beautiful.
Drinking wine with the Jade Emperor while enjoying their enchanting dance was most entertaining.
And yet, before long…
“Your Majesty…”
A fairy maiden rushed into the palace. “It’s terrible, Your Majesty! There are two dogs fighting out there!”
“What?”
The Jade Emperor appeared taken aback.
Jiang He’s expression changed at that and he rose to his feet, saying, “Your Majesty, I’m afraid that my dog has run off to fight the Howling Celestial Hound… please wait, I’ll be right back.”
Jiang He followed the fairy maiden out of the palace.
All of the Celestial Court was filled with thick immortal mists everywhere, and in a clearing nearby, a coarse voice could be heard—
“You dog!”
“How dare you call yourself the top dog of the Three Realms?”
“A mere Golden Immortal… my slap could kill a hundred of you!”
“And you, Three Eyes! Do you yield?”
Dumbo was standing on its rear legs, having assume a hundred-feet tall form.
Its baggy pants and shades had enlarged along with it as well.
It was also chewing on a toothpick, which was actually a stick that was an inferior-grade acquired soul treasure. However, since Dumbo rarely fought, it merely used the stick as a toothpick.
Dumbo felt that doing it would show off his aura better.
And right now, ink-black Daemonic Qi swirled around Dumbo’s body, inside of which thunderbolts sparkled.
And in the immortal mists beneath its feet were the prone forms of the Howling Celestial Hound and Erlang Shen.
Meanwhile, Dumbo was still barking and cursing, “Bleh! Shameless things. Dogs really take after their masters I suppose… a mere Golden Immortal calling himself the Celestial Court’s God of War? No wonder the dog had the gall to call itself the top dog of the Three Realms!”

There were many gods in the celestial court, and Dumbo had caused considerable commotion when it beat up Erlang Shen and the Howling Celestial Hound, naturally drawing many onlookers in return.
All the gods were pointing and gesturing at Dumbo, surprised at why a daemon dog would be flexing itself around the Celestial Court.
Some also exclaimed in awe that the dog had proven horrific enough to easily suppress both Erlang Shen and the Howling Celestial Hound!
“Could that dog be a Grand Luo?”
“No, it isn’t, since it cultivated in a system that’s very different… but why do I find that thunderbolts sparkling over its body so familiar? It’s like the powers of the western tradition back in the homeworld.”
“Are you talking about the Titans?”
“Bleh, those Titans… they had merely gained the mark of Thunder Dao by coincidence, and then set up some Pantheon or something in the west, anointing themselves with titles and the like…”
Jiang He’s eyes flashed at those words.
The western pantheon was that secretive?
Zeus was born a Titan, and he knew that there was certain mystic behind the ancestry of the Titans.
Still, now was not the time to think about that stuff.
Jiang He cleared his throat.
Dumbo, who was still busy being pompous, shuddered, promptly shrinking from its hundred-feet form and skipping toward Jiang He with a look of grief. “Master… I… only wanted to spar with the Howling Celestial Hound. I didn’t expect his master to fight as well, so I had to punish them a little.”
“Doggone it!”
Jiang He slapped the dog.
Yip…
He was not using much strength, but Dumbo played along dramatically as if its face was deformed while it yipped endlessly.
And after beating Dumbo up for a while, Jiang He walked up to Erlang Shen as he got up, offering a fist-palm salute in apology.
It was only then that Yang Jian learned that Dumbo is Jiang He’s dog, and quickly said, “It’s fine, Martial Uncle. It’s my fault, as your dog had fought my Howling Celestial Hound to be the top dog of the Three Realms… I was a little too eager to assist my Howling Celestial Hound, I was being unreasonable in the first place.”
The term ‘martial uncle’, however, left the onlooking gods erupting into a wave of whispers as they discussed about Jiang He’s identity.
“Martial Uncle?”
“Erlang Shen is a disciple of the True Habitant of Yu Ding, one of the Twelve Hollow Jade Temple Golden Immortals and a second-generation disciple of the Chan Sect’s Saint… could this young man be a personal disciple of the Saint?”
“Impossible… when did the Chan Sect gain a second-generation disciple of his appearance?”
“I know who Jiang He is! He’s from the homeworld…” Some of the know-it-all began to share what they know.
Meanwhile, Jiang He smiled, “Martial Nephew, my Dumbo was in the wrong in the first place. Its ability is on par with the best of Grand Luo elites, and yet it would quarrel against an average Grand Luo—how is that fair?”

Yang Jiang was dumbstruck.
“The best… of Grand Luo elites?”
The Howling Celestial Hound who had just awakened almost fainted again.
Jiang He then took out an inferior-grade acquired soul treasure and a premium-grade immortal item, handing them to Erlang Shen and the Howling Celestial Hound as recompense.
Yang Jian tried to turn him down, whereas the Howling Celestial Hound’s eyes lit up.
“It is only right that I give you something since you addressed me as martial uncle.”
Yang Jian accepted, but only after Jiang He insisted.
However, Yang Jian was not being random with the title of martial uncle.
Though Jiang He was not a second-generation disciple of the Chan Sect, the True Habitant of Yu Ding, the True Habitant of Tai Yi, the True Habitant of Fire Dragon, and the Immortal Hermit of the South Pole addressed each other as brothers. As such, would Yang Jian have the guts to not address them as martial uncles?
After dealing with it, Jiang He returned to have more wine and chattered with the Jade Emperor, all the way until late night.
Summoning some fairy maidens to him, the Jade Emperor ordered them to prepare a guest room for Jiang He.
It was only when they reached it that Jiang He realized that the ‘guest room’ which the Jade Emperor spoke of was a luxurious palace.
After staying for one night, Jiang He started to study the Dao Enlightenment Pellets.
Deducing the recipe was actually nonsense.
All the medicinal ingredients for the Dao Enlightenment Pellets were ready anyway, and Jiang He decided to go about this as usual, and revamp the recipe of the Dao Enlightenment Pellets just like he did with the Body Honing Pellets.
Getting pen and paper, he cooked some nonsense up.
Soon, a brand-new recipe for Dao Enlightenment Pellets was completed.
Jiang He personally planted the pellet recipe before handing the ten thousand ready-made Dao Enlightenment Pellets to Dumbo and the others and had them plant it.
With everything settled, Jiang He left the Celestial Court for a stroll, and by the time he returned, the pellet recipe and the Dao Enlightenment Pellets were already ripe.
Jiang He remained in the palace on the third day, and on the fourth, Jiang He ordered Dumbo to bring 500,000 Dao Enlightenment Pellets to the Jade Emperor.
The Jade Emperor was having a drink and listening to a songstress, but dropped his goblet upon hearing Dumbo’s message.
“Did Brother Jiang He really uncover the recipe for the Dao Enlightenment Pellets?”
“Hold on…”
“Even if he did, I had only given him 9,500 Dao Enlightenment Pellets and ingredients with which we could refine 300,000 more… how did he manage to get 500,000?”
Dumbo shook its head, gesturing that it had no idea.
Did you think that I would tell you about how my master just needs to plant one Dao Enlightenment Pellet to grow a tree of Dao Enlightenment Pellets?
Nonetheless, Dumbo had feigned a look of seriousness after meeting the Jade Emperor, saying, “Your Majesty, my master said that he had improved in item refinement after several days of secluded meditation.”
“He knows very well that your heavenly troops have a hard time fighting against the various races, which is why he wanted to refine their mystic treasures to upgrade them…”
The Jade Emperor was delighted.
On that very day, he had sent 100,000 inferior-grade immortal items and 50,000 mediocre-grade immortal items to the palace where Jiang He was staying.
Jiang He himself hence took a supervisory role while leaving the immortal items to Dumbo and the others to plant… the only thing he would be doing was none other than lying on the deck chair under the Old Tea Tree of Enlightenment, and redeem several dozen packs of Living Soil of the Nine Heavens for Dumbo and the others to use.
He just had to harvest the immortal items when they were ripe.
Three days later, Dumbo requested an audience with the Jade Emperor again.
“Your Majesty, our master has worked tirelessly without sleep, and has finally managed to reforge and upgrade the 100,000 inferior-grade immortal items and 50,000 mediocre-grade immortal items. Please take a look…”
The 100,000 inferior-grade immortal items were an upgrade to the mediocre-grade immortal items.
Likewise, the 50,000 mediocre-grade immortal items were upgraded to superior-grade immortal items.
Shocked, the Jade Emperor personally met Jiang He, intent on awarding Jiang He a proper divine title… it was a position with practically no obligations, but it carried actual authority over various celestial troops.
Jiang He did not refuse.
While he did not spent much effort to help the Celestial Court refine their immortal items while he earned truckloads of Farm Points, the Celestial Court did benefit, did they not?
Hence, he asked for 300,000 mediocre-grade immortal items, 100,000 superior-grade immortal items, and 30,000 premium-grade immortal items…
Only the Jade Emperor himself could give out such reserves.
***
In the present day, Jiang He was having an afternoon break at the Farm under the Old Tea Tree of Enlightenment when Hu Mei called out to him, “Master, the Jade Emperor has come. He says that it’s something urgent.”
Jiang He stepped out of his Farm to find that both the Jade Emperor and Lü Dongbin were there, and so asked them about what had happened.
Lü Dongbin had some information to pass on to Jiang He.
It read, “Wang Hou had slain the White Sky God King of the God Race, and ascended together with Modolo of the Demon Race. The world’s authority then shifted them to the Grand Luo’s battlefield, and he is now being pursued by the God race, the Demon race, and the Suras’ Grand Luo…”
