Chapter 295: Waiting For Trap To Be Sprung Version 2.0

Starlight shone around his body and his clothes instantly morphed into silver armor as he kept smiling coolly at the dozens of stunned Sky Demon champions, Sunflower Water Sword in hand…

One of the Sky Demon champions cried then .

He promptly looked up, his faintly glimmering eyes brimming with killing intent . With a grasping motion, a pitch-black hammer reached his hand and he struck toward Jiang He from the distance .

Ka-boom!

The air thundered . Even before it reached, the hammer was kicking up a storm that almost stopped Jiang He from opening his eyes .

Swish!

Jiang He responded with a backhand slash, but after a loud bang in the next split second as sword and hammer collided, the Sunflower Water Sword was actually sent flying by the hammer .

“What the hell…”

Jiang He’s face dropped .

The hammer was exceedingly powerful that his arm was knocked numb even with his Nine Heavenly Star Body Formula . Losing his grip on the Sunflower Water Sword and with the web between his thumb and forefinger split open, he was then sent flying .

“Die, human!”

The Sky Demon champion roared furiously, holding his hammer as he darted forward in pursuit .

He was actually equal in ability to the Bordo whom Jiang He had just killed but possessed more brute strength and clearly treaded the path of physicality . Indeed, Jiang He had killed Bordo so quickly because he caught the Sky Demon off guard, but now that a Sky Demon champion was attacking, a single strike actually left Jiang He’s blood and Qi churning .

As he landed, he flipped around and summoned the Sunflower Water Sword which had dropped over on the ground, having it streak towards the back of the Sky Demon champion . Nonetheless, the Sky Demon champion sent the sword flying again with a back hand smite as if he had grown eyes over his back .

“That hammer must be a premium-grade soul weapon too!”

Jiang He’s eyes shifted and he summoned the Sunflower Water Sword once again, although he was summoning it back into his grasp, and not to ambush the Sky Demon champion .

“Die!”

The Sky Demon champion charged forward again, hammer in hand .

“Are you getting addicted to smiting?”

Jiang He was furious . Daddy has just shown off a little and was being dished a beatdown right after—would I still have any dignity left if I don’t kill you?

“Go forth, Nine Dragons God Fire Shroud!”

As he withdrew, the Nine Dragons God Fire Shroud flew out from between his brows toward the Sky Demon champion .

The Sky Demon champion’s face fell . Raising his hammer, he was about to knock the Nine Dragons God Fire Shroud away when it abruptly enlarged and covered him .

In the next instant, True Samadhi Flames turned into nine dancing fire dragons within the shroud, drowning the Sky Demon champion immediately .

“Aaaaaargh!!!”

Screams echoed over the last three seconds and he was burned to ashes .

The other Sky Demon champions all reacted at once . Exchanging glances, some of them charging forth together with raging bellows . At the same time, Jiang He reached out his hand and summoned the Nine Dragons God Fire Shroud, having it roll up before turning to run .

Even as he did so, he threw out a Doom Shroom offhandedly .

One of the Sky Demon champions reacted instantly, his combat blade slicing directly upon the Doom Shroom, perhaps under the impression that it was some sort of concealed weapon…

Boom!

The 300,000-ton yield Doom Shroom instantly detonated among the ranks of all the Sky Demon champions . Being just a True Child, how could the champion who had cut the Doom Shroom withstand such a blast?

He was blown to hell instantly, just as the other Sky Demon champions beside him were left either dead, maimed, or coughing blood .

Meanwhile, the searing flames were shooting toward the entrance of the Stargate .

Jiang He was ready for it . Ritualizing the Nine Dragons God Fire Shroud, he climbed inside it—though it was sent flying out of the Stargate due to the violent shockwave that ensued, Jiang He was fine from the inside .

Up in the skies above Lingzhou City, shocked filled the faces of the many martial elites… .

Had the fighting started already?

Wang Hou was about to ask a question, only to find Jiang He extending his hand and beckoning . Up in the air, veins of sword light took flight, and five swords including the Scarlet Flame Sword and the Autumn Water Sword circled around Jiang He’s body .

All Wang Hou could hear was his furious seething . “Mongrels of the Sky Demons! Bullying daddy by numbers? Daddy is going to kill you all…”

With that, he returned inside the Stargate .

What in the hell was going on?

The Sky Demon legion had already arrived?

Jiang He was going at it with the Sky Demon champions inside the Stargate?

He couldn’t sense what went on inside the Stargate at all, leaving him curious and anxious right then . In a flash, he flew towards the Stargate…

“Minister Wang…”

Three Blades Lin hurriedly stood in his way . “No, Minister Wang! Jiang He said…”

“Said your grandfather!”

Wang Hou glowered at that .

Watching as Wang Hou flew inside the Stargate, the other martial elites were about to follow suit when they saw it . However, even before they could get close to it, there was a resounding explosion in the Stargate, and in the next instant…

“Oh, sh*t…”

A cry of surprise could be heard from within the Stargate .

It was Wang Hou…

At the same instant when he cried out in surprised, he was flying out of the Stargate at top speed, the Nine Dragons God Fire Shroud right behind him .

The Nine Dragons God Fire Shroud rolled in the air as it was sent flying over a thousand meters before coming to a stop . Then, Jiang He strode out, opened his mouth and belched a mouthful of blood as he exclaimed in shock, “The Sky Demon champions are so frightening and powerful!”

“They can actually cast a combined array, focusing the power of four Yuan Spirits, eighteen True Children, and thirty-three Golden Pellet elites . A single burst actually blew up my Sword Array of Five Elements and Six Pulses!”

“Eh…”

“Minister Wang?”

Jiang He turned to find Minister Wang nearby and exclaimed in surprise, “Minister Wang, what’s wrong? Who attacked you?”

Wang Hou’s face was pale right then, his body ragged and bleeding over many spots including his nose and mouth . He kept wiping his nose, but the bleeding just wasn’t stopping .

Jiang He quietly took out an adhesive bandage at that . Delighted, Wang Hou promptly tore it open and pasted it on his own nose .

It was a rather bizarre sight .

After all, the adhesive bandage was a little large and it rather resembled a certain necessity for women .

Jiang He glowered…

Screw me .

Could Wang Hou be an idiot?

You have six broken ribs, one of which had punctured out of your body . The adhesive bandage was meant to let you heal that, but you are using it to stop a nosebleed?

“What actually happened, Minister Wang?” Jiang He pressed .

“You crashed into me…” Wang Hou mumbled .

Jiang He was speechless .

His expression darkened as he could not hold back from yelling, “Didn’t I tell you people not to run around? Just now, I was merely bombed out of the Stargate by the Sky Demons’ combined array but I had already maimed you from the collision . You would be dead if I had been using my homecooked bombs!”

Even as he spoke, Jiang He took out a lunchbox with a turn of his hand .

It was stir-fried eggplant over meat .

He did not eat the rice, instead merely quickly grabbing a few mouthfuls of eggplant and meat to heal his internal injury .

“What is actually going on in there, Jiang He?” Wang Hou could not help asking, and the others were looking curiously at Jiang He as well…

The Sky Demon champions had arrived? Why didn’t they come through the Stargate if they did?

Musing to himself for a while to ponder his words, Jiang He did his best to make himself simple and understandable .

“Didn’t the Stargate stop expanding just now?” he said . “I thought that the Sky Demons must be here…”

“However, there was no sign of their legion even after I waited for a long time, and when I went inside for a look, I soon ran into their champions who were playing vanguard . ”

Everyone’s faces twitched while Jiang He appeared to suffer from lingering fear, saying, “The Sky Demons really have a lot of champions . Even so, Wang Hou still did not dare to leave and kept asking to fight alongside Jiang He, which only left Jiang He frowning and shaking his head . “Minister Wang, you are too weak . The shockwave from the battle would only hurt you if a big fight ensues, so go to a corner and wait . ”

He turned and flew away without a word .
