Beside him, both Dumbo and Trumbo opened their mouths and used their new water-type powers to water the eggplant seed .

Jiang He couldn’t help chuckling . “Whoever has two pets like these wouldn’t need to pay water bills for their farms . ”

Bringing out a bench, Jiang He sat cross-legged over it and waited leisurely for the eggplant seed to sprout .

After around three, a faint crunch sound could be heard from the soil .

Jiang He did not pay it much heed, since it was very normal .

The eggplant seed had been planted for quite a while, and it made sense that it made sounds as it took root and sprouted .

And after another three minutes, two raw shoots grew out of the soil .

At first, they were a pale-yellow, but following exposure to the sun, their pale color turned into a faint purple .

Hence, a purple ‘eggplant tree’ grew rapidly .

Putting away his phone, Jiang He turned towards another corner in the yard .

Over there, Dumbo was jumping around madly, fighting thin air .

Jiang He suspected then that Dumbo was not a Sichuan Wolfdog, and that it must have husky blood mixed in its ancestry .

Yip!

Dumbo whimpered shrilly as it darted out of Jiang He’s yard, jolting Trumbo awake to the point that its bristle, its dark fur all standing up .

“What are you doing?”

Jiang He was a little speechless as he held his Dragon-Slaying Saber at his side, rebuking the dog, “I’m just cutting a bit of your skin, not chopping you up . Anyone hearing you yipping like that would think I was torturing pets . ”

Dumbo’s canine face looked full of grief and misery .

Cutting skin?

That was okay .
